Cozy Cottage, End-Of-Road Quiet, Woods, Piano! Great For Families
Cette maison est super mignonne, 2 chambres: à l'étage, une avec un lit queen, un canapé et une table basse pour se détendre. L'autre a 4 lits superposés; un lit double, une commode, un bureau et un placard. En bas: belle cuisine, salle à manger et salon (avec un grand canapé-lit), salle de bain spacieuse.(Remodeler sur une buanderie est maintenant terminé!) Aussi un piano, alors apportez votre musique !! Il y a une terrasse extérieure, petit congélateur pour le poisson! Les bois sont jolis ici, paisible, un endroit charmant !!! Il est très calme, vous pouvez lire, dormir, se détendre! Soyez sûr et posez-moi des questions.

Odette and Rick are incredibly generous. They have everything to make your stay uncomplicated. They let us borrow items in the shed. We had left fishing poles 6 years ago and they were still here to use by whoever. We were fortunate when we found this listing. Its habitated by moose and that is fun to see out the windows when you are eating breakfast.

Perfect house for four fishing buddies. Ode was very accommodating and let us utilize some fishing equipment and a vacuum sealer for our fish. The house is very well stocked and when we had a question, Ode and Rick were very prompt. Enjoyed seeing moose walk through the property. Nice stay!

Odette “Odie” was a wonderful host and greeted us when we arrived. It’s a remote area to get away after a day out exploring. Also lots of deep freezers to store your fish. Great property for a large group.
-Almost every property uses well water so be aware that there may be iron in it that turns the shower, tubs, etc orange.
-Mosquitoes are everywhere in Alaska, so be prepared. Odette did a great job showing us how to keep them at bay or use a zapper.
We, unfortunately, had allergies to cats/dogs and couldn’t stay the entire time so can’t give a full review.

Cute house out of the main part of town. Wonderful hosts! We loved having this place to come home to at the end of all of our adventures. The hot tub was a great way to unwind. Frequent visits from a momma and baby moose. Blackout curtains would have been nice for those of us not used to 24 hour daylight, but we improvised and made it work.

Beautiful and Relaxing
We stayed at the cabin with 4 adults and 4 children. We all had comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and everything we could need in the kitchen. The location in the woods, near town, was perfect! We loved using the hot tub and sitting out on the deck enjoying the long warm summer days. Thank you so much!

Amazing propery
Amazing hosts and amazing views. We absolutely loved just sitting out on the deck watching the moose come by. There wasn’t a day we didn’t see a moose. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day. We loved sitting by the fire. The beds were comfortable. All around a great stay, would absolutely stay again!

Cozy cabin stay
My wife and I loved our stay here for our honeymoon! We had plenty of space for cooking, eating, and playing! The piano was a great touch and we overall had a great time. Odie was a great host and gave us some spot on recommendations to see local wildlife! Definitely a great place to consider in the Soldotna area!

Hot tub under the stars!
By day: Loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars after a long hike. Fire pit was fun for hot dog roasting. Location was wonderfully rustic in the woods and close to backpacking/hiking trails and fishing. Host was helpful. Kitchen was stocked.
By night: Beds and pillows were old/uncomfortable so slept poorly.

Cozy home in the woods
First thing we saw when we pulled off the main road was a moose with her baby. The house is in a very private woodsy area but is very comfy and homey. There are a couple of take out brochures as well as suggestions for ordering food to the house, which is very useful and thoughtful. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed.
The firepit and outdoors Jacuzzi were a huge plus for us. Made our stay so enjoyable and we would definitely come back

Loved being by ourselves in the woods. Hot tub, fire pit, great deck, well appointed kitchen, and being close to the Kenai River were things that made this truly amazing. Thank you both for everything. Home away from home.

Great Location
We loved the location and enjoyed how close it was to town without feeling close to town. Minutes away from everything that Soldotna has to offer. We loved that each of our kids had their own bed. We loved that there was a washer and dryer for us to use. We loved seeing wildlife regularly at the property and while driving to the property. We also utilized the freezers that were there which was super convenient. Rick and Odie were helpful along the way and while we were there. We would stay here again for sure.

We absolutely loved staying at this house! It was perfect for my husband, myself, and our 4 kids. Rick and Odie were so nice and wonderful hosts…they even had essentials stocked for us to use! The area was beautiful and we hope to be back someday😊

The perfect home base
I lost track of how many times we’ve stayed here, but it’s always a great experience. It’s the perfect home base to use while fishing or exploring the area. The nice big deck let us spread out and enjoy the evenings while the rest of the house has essential amenities all in a very quiet and private setting. We’re already booked for next year!

This was a great place for a party of six (four adults and 2 kids). This was our base to explore the Kenai Peninsula and it was great. At home feeling
Great place to call home while exploring the area. Plenty of room in the freezer for all the fish you catch! Nice quiet area to relax with a fire at night, soothe those halibut fishing arms in the hot tub, or read a book on the swing chair. And for those that read reviews about the keys...there is a key to lock the door IF you feel you need to. There's no pet hair either. BUT, if you like dogs, the German shepherds will come to say hi! Thanks Odie for hosting us!
