We enjoyed the wonderful accommodations and the beautiful setting on the small lake. We liked going out in the paddle boat. It was nice watching the loons and deer. We brought our bikes and were close to the bike trails in the area...even got some shopping in. Overall wonderful vacation time!

There isn't one bad thing to say about this property or the area it is located in. Would highly recommend to anyone. Will also look to stay again in the future.

Very well kept property with great improvements in progress. Location is excellent for activities around the area. Lake is very quiet, being a non motorized lake. Paddle, pontoon boat provided was great for fishing or an evening cruise around the lake. Fishing was decent as we caught largemouth bass, bluegills and a small northern. Overall no complaints and a big thumbs up.

We had a great time staying here and so glad we did. The view is great, right on the lake. The house was a great size, had everything we needed, and the kids loved it. It was so nice to have a fire pit, Lake access to fish, and the little pontoon paddle boat. Close enough to town to run for groceries or go to the shops, but quiet enough that we could enjoy the stay. Will definitely be staying again!

Cabin is beautiful, wildlife as fun to watch & hear, and the lake was absolutely beautiful!

This place was exactly what we needed. Beautiful views of the lake from the master bedroom and front room, amazing backyard, quiet, peaceful lake that we spent hours on each day. Surrounded by nature and had many encounters with the deer family in the woods and the duck family on the lake. Would definitely stay here again.

This property was going through a remodel at the time of our stay. Host did let us know that a few days prior. Missed the screened porch that was pictured in ads. Overall though this place is great! We had ample fishing, and the lake to ourselves as we stayed during the week. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your cabin.

Our family very much enjoyed our time at this cabin! We will be back!! Our time was spent fishing, by the fire pit, at the local zoo, and enjoying our time at some local restaurants. The host was extremely nice and communication was fantastic. Thanks for a great week! See you soon!!

Quiet lake cabin close to everything. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and paddle boat. The swim pier and camp fire area were great. Launched our ski boat several times at School House Bay boat landing with ample trailer parking on Minacqua Lake. The cabin had everything we needed and was clean inside. The patio door and screen doors could use some work.

Another great stay at this cabin! Our kids had a wonderful time. Lots of time spent swimming and fishing. Plenty of wildlife to see including a huge snapping turtle and a new baby loon.

The cottage was as advertised, very pleasant and clean. However on day one a septic system problem arose, burned out pump which was fixed during the last day of or stay. Unfortunately during the interim we assumed it would be best to limit our wastewater output, which really hampered basic things like showering, flushing and dish washing. No fault of the owners, I have a mound system myself and have had the same thing happen. Fixed now, should be good for 20 years!

This cabin was the perfect getaway for the week! Great location, close to town, but still feels very tranquil. Cabin is very clean. Loved the fire pit area, and fishing dock! Also enjoyed the deer wandering around the cabin! We will definitely book this property again in the future!

This was everything we hoped it would be, a peaceful and quiet get away for a week . The cabin itself had everything that you needed to enjoy your stay. really enjoyed watching the deer coming so close to the cabin both morning and evening and not have a care that we were there. The lake was perfect temp for swimming and fishing. The weather was also perfect for fires at night while listening to the loons. We hope to do this again in the future.

This area is the perfect location (in my opinion for a trip up north) it's just enough off the beaten path to give you a sense of escape from the world but yet close enough to where you can bike downtown Minocqua in 10-15 minutes. The non-motorized lake was great as it was quiet and the kids could swim and fish without worry. Yet it was a 5-10 minute car ride to drop the boat in Lake Minocqua if needed. The home itself was good sized for our family (2 adults, 2 kids) and we never felt we needed more. The property was clean inside and had everything we needed. All was in good working order and do not have any complaints. The only negative was the cleanliness of the exterior. However, growing up in this setting I understand the work involved in keeping an exterior kept up. Having the maintenance or caretaker wipe down the screen porch picnic table and ensure the grill(s) are not covered in spider webs would go a long way. Otherwise, the setting and home was beautiful and perfect and we would love to book again in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay. Fishing was good, plenty of deer sightings, centrally located between the downtown area and supper clubs. Cabin had everything we needed. Nice and clean.

Just what we were hoping for. Nice cozy cabin. Lake was nice and the girls enjoyed swimming out to raft and jumping in. Took the aqua cycle out and did laps around the lake. Close to everything, yet far enough away to give you that rest and relaxation you want. We had some nice family time. Thank you Brad, Mary Jo, Charlotte and Nicole

Really nice set up with nice cabin, excellent fire pit area and private dock. Good fishing and swimming right off the dock. Our family has enjoyed our three stays at The Loons Nest.

It was a pretty setting overlooking the lake on a wooded lot. Previous comments about "very clean" were bewildering. Dust, hair, spider webs on the floor at wall in bath and bedrooms. Drips pans under stove burners loaded with crud. Top of range fan sticky with grease. I know this is the north woods, but have the windows and screens been hosed off in, well, years? Was the well water safe or not? A little piece of paper from Oneida County said to rinse dishes in bleach water. The drinking water filters not changed in 3 years. Tap water was very smelly. Bedroom 2 had a wall sconce light (one bulb) and no table lamp or other light. One night stand, no dresser. There were sturdy TV tables in the LR that doubled as suitcase stands. One light in the living room. Only two chairs on the screened porch. So, it needs: a sulfur and iron filter for the whole house water, need drinking water filters, some lamps in the LR and BR2, a chest or dresser in BR2, suitcase stands, and a thorough cleaning inside and out. More and upgraded porch chairs.

This secluded cabin is on a smaller lake right across the street from Minocqua Lake. It is a great fishing lake with lots of deer living in the neighborhood. Given its location, you can be anywhere in Minocqua, Woodruff, or Arbor Vitae within a few minutes. The cabin has just about everything you might need: pots, pans, silverware, utensils, towels, soap, board games, life vests, and fans. The only negatives were the lack of potable water and cutting board. My husband and I enjoyed our time there despite the rain - thank goodness for the screened porch - and would like to stay there again someday.

Great little place for a family retreat! Nice and clean with small paddle boat, row boat, and great fire pit area for s'mores. Close to town and really good fishing straight from the dock. Nice quiet lake and had a deer who visited us each day. Would definitely recommend.

The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had all the extras! We'll be back next year for a full week with our adult daughters! Highly recommend!!

Very clean and well furnished with everything needed (cooking, coffee, some fishing equipment). Great Wi-Fi. Nice property layout with cabin on the hill, fire pit close to the pier/water. Very good fishing right off the pier for bluegills and bass. It was disappointing to find the large portion of the pier under water and no paddle boat as advertised. Overall a good experience.

Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip so I can't talk about the property, but the owner was wonderful to work with. We look forward to being able to reschedule in the near future.
