First time to Jamaica chose one rhythm villa. Was first picked up at the airport by our driving services which was greatly helpful. Kirk is an amazing dependable driver. Then arrived at the villa only to be welcomed by miss Annette, who had a meal already prepared for us. She is an amazing woman makes you feel welcomed safe, and is full of local experience and knowledge which helped us navigate our stay. miss Annette and Kirk took us to the grocery store. She helped us shop for the week after that we stayed at the villa because it’s that beautiful and the beach is amazing. We had one excursion but other than that we stayed right at the villa it’s everything it describes to be, and then some.! can’t speak highly enough on one rhythm missi Annette and Kirk, the driver. The locals are amazingly friendly! We fell in love with the dogs.lol will totally be returning

From the booking to the departure everything was fantastic. Karen was a pleasure to work with & even had a cake waiting for my birthday. Ms. Annette is heaven sent. She took very good care of us. Kirk was extremely helpful & came back for multiple trips to town for us. Maurice & his services were the best. All I wanted to do was relax & de”stress” & that’s exactly what One Rhythm allowed me to do. I will be coming back & highly recommend this villa.

We spend a week at One Rhythm and it was exactly as described. The beach is just a short walk away and it not busy (mostly just other vacationers staying at nearby rentals). This was our first time staying somewhere with a housekeeper/cook and it was wonderful not to have to worry about making dinner or cleaning up after meals. Miss Annette took care of us well. She is wonderful, but I will say it took a few days for her to fully warm up to us (or the other way around). Kurt was great as our driver to/from the airport and grocery store. We only ended up doing one day off of the property (to Ocho Rios) which Kurt drove us to and waited patiently for us during our lunch and river tubing.

Our family of three had an amazing stay at One Rhythm! Definitely looking forward to coming back. Ms. Annette took great care of us. Miss her cooking already!!!

One Rhythm is a beautiful little villa in a very small and lovely neighborhood. The yard is magical with so many gorgeous tropical plants that thrive in the warm and sunny conditions. The locals are very kind, friendly and respectful. The beach had small waves in November but people told me it was very calm at different times of year. Turquoise, warm water and the beach is often empty and you have it to yourself…a huge bonus. Local families go to the beach onSunday and we made friends with a few of the local people. Tony the Rasta man was our one stop shopping as well as being a friend. He is kind, genuine and extremely helpful whenever needed. He made a huge bonfire for us the last nite and we would help him out with food. I suggest the Martha Brae rafting trip..so much fun, and you could swim along side the raft in the clean waters. It was a fave and well worth the money. There is a neighborhood pack of dog gos which I would feed at the beach whenever I could. The two little girls were very sweet and I was sad to leave them. I wish I could have taken them home.. Captain Kirk was a great driver and very knowledgeable. And finally Ms Annette.aka Annie and Christine. She is a gem and her home cooked meals were out of this world, and made with love.So much better than restaurants.Our motto for Annie was she is an odd combination of “really sweet” and don’t mess with me”. A strong woman. Ask her to make you meat pies. Finally so much positive energy surrounded us.

My husband and I stayed at One Rhythm for 2 weeks in Sept/Oct and it was just what we needed. We were looking for a quiet place to work but also to unwind and celebrate our anniversary, well away from tourists and crowds. We enjoyed watching the sunrises, swimming in the ocean, and playing in the rain. Ms Annette was so welcoming from day one and took excellent care of us. Her cooking is fantastic but what was really special to us was her kindness, warmth and sense of humour. Karen was so easy to work with and answered every question about the booking and what to expect, including arranging our transport with Kirk to/from the airport. Some top tips: No need to bring loads of clothing - Ms Annette will wash anything you need and everything is very casual. Do bring: deet-based bug spray, suntan lotion, shampoo / conditioner, and plenty of US cash. While the grocery store in Duncan may take a credit card, most other things you will pay for during your stay only take cash (JMD or USD). I would recommend having Kirk pick you up at the airport and ask him to stop at an ATM early in the drive if you don't have sufficient US cash already as there are no ATMs dispensing US cash near Duncan Bay. I would also recommend stopping at a grocery store on the way (Kirk will offer) to get all the basics you will need for the first 1-2 days. Thereafter you can ask Ms Annette to go shopping with you which is a treat in itself! Oh, and if you like seafood, Ms Annette will find you the best!

The ocean was amazing, coral reef just outside of the property on the beach. The locals are very friendly. Ms. Annette is an excellent cook and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much! We would love to come back again!

This listing was everything it said it was and much more. Host was very accommodating and extremely responsive. Ms. Annette who cooked our meals everyday was a treat to converse with and her cooking was great as well. This place was like being on your own private beach, no crowds and no haggling with local sellers. Our two children 9 and 13 were not bored for a second in the 7 days we were there. We will definitely be going back.

The property is beautiful, extremely close to the beach & local bars. Ms Annette took care of our every need/want. We were completely spoiled by her. And because of this, we got to experience some of Jamaica’s local flair without the tourist side of things. I highly recommend On Rhythm Villa & of course, Ms Annette!!! We’ll be back!!

I came across this vrbo while googling in grief, I wanted to get away so badly when my pup passed away from kidney disease from Lyme, it was a hard time and i lost my rental home a month later in a fire. I thankfully dove in and booked this and took the risk, as i do not travel abroad often. From the woman who helped us at the airport, Charrett to the Driver Kirk and Ms. Annette the house manager, everyone was a gift on the trip. My boyfriend and i were safe, bellies always full, and the area and peace of the private beach was all the healing i needed. The love and care of the residents and generous hearts of the community around this villa, is what living a good life is all about! Thank you so much for this stay and the healing vibes we swam around in all week!

We had the best time at the villa. Ms. Annette took great care of us. She is a phenomenal cook and the best person ever. The drivers Kirk and Pablo were fun and patiently waiting us while we did excursions. If you are looking for fun and relaxation please visit One Rhythm villa!!!

One snowy lazy February morning I idly Googled "secluded, beachfront, island," and up popped One Rhythm Villa! I wasn't planning a vacation and certainly not one to this extent, however, within 3 days, I was looking forward to my spur of the moment vacay at ORV! Everything and everyone are as stated in all the reviews. Kudos to Karen for arranging everything (what a godsend, talk about elimination of major stress) , Miss Annette is a real jewel in everything she does, Kirk and Kirk (his brother from another mother) were topnotch! Could go on and on, but everything from the beautiful Villa (indoors and out) to Miss Annette's fabulous Jamaican meals, to the local flair of the area and people (including those lovable beach pooches) is unforgettable! When I picture paradise, it looks like this place. Ocean views of the bright turquoise waters, sunny skies, lush island landscape, fresh and airy ocean air breezes, and most importantly, the comfort of genuine people in the nearby community. We figured we would do some exploring and excursions on the island but once we arrived we were so comfortable and relaxed just being in the area we were we didn’t even venture out. The home is warmed by Ms. Annette and get ever so scrumptious home cooked authentic local cuisine. And she is a tenured player of dominoes if you need any pointers. We learned to play form the locals over in the nearby fishing village. Tadler’s rooftop bar and Leroy’s are walking distance on the waterfront and the most accommodating and they genuinely enjoy good spirits to patronize their establishments. There are local artists and vendors there in the village that offer wood carvings, local fresh fish catch, food, fruits, novelty art pieces, and more. The beach is so cozy and convenient that you feel like it’s all your own. The Silver Light reggae band played on Saturday and it was the big event of the week and much enjoyed. Everyone we had met during our stay was all there. We have so many new friends after our time here. There is so much fresh air and sunshine that pours into the property and the art and landscape just envelopes your soul. I cannot say enough to express how much this trip truly changed us. We traveled there with friends and we left with more friends and more memories than we could’ve imagined. We are so grateful. We miss Ms Annette so much! We just wanted her to hang out with us instead of feeling like she had work to do. Some tips: stop at a grocery store on your way there to get some necessities but know that Ms Annette will be able to source and cook the best meals if you are willing to let her. Groceries and drinks can be delivered for a fee. Fish and fruits can be purchased in the village within walking distance. There are a lot of beach dogs but they are friendly. US currency is accepted almost everywhere. The home has most everything you need, including body soap, towels, kitchen essentials, Bluetooth speaker, chairs, etc. but if there is anything you need Ms Annette will make it happen. There is not shampoo and conditioner provided so you will need to bring yours. Kirk, the transportation guide, is prompt and helpful, safe and reliable. Everyone communicates and operates efficiently. The Best ever!

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a very real Jamaican holiday, not an all inclusive cookie cutter vacation. From booking to leaving, this rental has it all! Miss Annette was out of this world. Her and Kirk, the driver catered to everything imaginable! 2 weeks of heaven!

One Rhythm is our kind of place. Away from crowds, close to activities, great bakery, wonderful locals, caring hosts. As previously expressed by the multitude, Miss Annette is a lovely Jamaican treasure. Reminds me of the sister I always wanted. She prepared the absolute best fresh snapper, lobster curry and lobster bisque we've ever had. Because of Miss Annette's endless efforts, all of our time was spent relaxing. Host Karen made all the prep for our stay seamless and kept us smiling. Perhaps the most unsung hero of our Duncan adventure was Mr. Kirk. A wonderful man, father, and driver extraordinaire, with plenty of suggestions and always on time. That is team One Rhythm. The home and its location was better than perfect. The artwork is joyful and includes a plethora of thoughtful quips to make one's life more pleasant. Our weather was fantastic. We highly recommend One Rhythm and its neighborhood.

Our group received the best treatment right from connecting with Karen on prearrangements and excellent pointers for traveling and entertainment. From the airport with smiling Kirk driving us safely on the left side of the road. Pointing out interesting landmarks. Meeting Miss Annette, the heart of the villa with open doors and open arms. She keeps ahead of everyone’s needs, whether dinner requests or guiding someone home from Leroy’s. All our wishes and dreams for a fantastic vacation came true. We are making plans for a return trip. Our time spent at Duncan's Bay was the highlight of our trip! The location is quiet with beautiful flora and fauna, friendly locals and the most amazing beach we have visited in the West Indies. We loved the clean and comfortable decor of One Rhythm along with the many sitting area's outside. Kirk, the driver, delivered us there safely after bringing us to the Blue Hole and out to lunch in Ocho Rios. He made sightseeing effortless. It was our first experience staying at a cottage with a chef/housekeeper. We did not understand that Ms Annette would be cooking each meal. At first we were worried about the lack of privacy. But after the first day we got over ourselves and embraced the care-taking that was provided. Ms Annette made us incredible meals and was a great source of neighborhood information. We opted to make our own lunches during the day so that we had the freedom to do so when we pleased. Each meal Ms Annette made offered authentic Jamaican cooking with local fruits and fish. We couldn't wait to see what she had up her sleeve each day. As a Mom this was a gift. Definitely visit Leroy's and Toddler's the local bars. We followed the music and the path along the beach to find the friendliest people in a foreign land that we have ever met. We look forward to staying at One Rhythm, seeing Ms Annette and Duncan's Bay again!!

We had a wonderful stay at One Rhythm Villa. Ms. Annette took great care of our family. We rented a car for the week and explored Ochi, MoBay, and Falmouth and had a great time doing the river and waterfalls. Duncan’s Bay beach was beautiful, never crowded and the little beach bar (Leroy’s) was a great place to chill. We wish we could stay forever. This place is a little piece of paradise.

What can I say the entire stay was excellent from the great views to the laid back beach the friendly locals to my special treat Miss Annette and her fine cooking ! Me and my husband will be back thanks Miss Annette and Karen for Everything

This property has a superb position, within sight and sound of the beach, secluded and tranquil. The housekeeper is a wonderful cook and we have loved all the meals that she presented for us. We would come again in a heartbeat.

Ms Annette looks after you. The beach is mostly yours. Enjoyed going to the fishing guys to see what they brougth in that morning and purchase dinner. Renewed wedding vowls on the beach. Had massage. Ms Anette knows everyone and can arrange anythink. Kirk the taxi guy was puntional and friendly also

Ms. Annette was amazing. She cooks, cleans, does your laundry if needed, washes all the dishes. Without her the vacation wouldn’t have been nearly as fun! Thank you Ms. Annette. Can’t wait to see you again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The place is perfect, clean and beautiful. Location is perfect. Ms Annette is the best Chef her food is of the best I have eaten in Jamaica.

The villa is wonderful with a central living/kitchen area and two air conditioned bedrooms. The beach is a one minute walk away and was virtually deserted all week; thus we had our own private beach. The local neighbors and dogs are all friendly. The villa has an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand from your feet and ample beach chairs and two floats for the ocean. Miss Annette is a real treasure, making us some wonderful Jamaican delicacies and making sure we had everything we needed. She made us, multiple kinds of chicken, pork, lobster and fish and every meal was fantastic! We used both Kirk and Trev when we needed a driver and they both did a good job. Make sure to bring lots of cash (USD are fine) as it's needed to buy groceries and pay the driver. All in all, this place is a fantastic value and we loved our stay here!

My husband and I brought our 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend (for her and my birthday and a late anniversary for the husband and I). Kirk picked us up at the airport. Kirk is a great driver. When we arrived at the villa, Ms. Annette was waiting for us. While we went to the beach she prepared a wonderful feast of traditional Jamaican fare for us. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left it was magical and none of us wanted to leave. From Ms. Annette's cooking and pampering to the private beach to the outings with Kirk. We cannot say enough wonderful things about One Rhythm. We had a small incident with lunch on Ms. Annette's day off (Thursday), but Ms. Annette made sure that we were well taken care of, even on her day off. We cannot wait to return!

I'd like to start off by saying Ms. Annette is a gem! My children and I feel in love with her nurture and care immediately. Our plans to venture and site see changed a bit upon arrival to see how close we were to the beach and great food (Ms. Anne's cooking)...we spent our entire time either at One Love or the beach. There are little surprises all around. Our next trip we may venture out a bit for excursions but this trip was a prefect time for relaxation and connection with my 2 sons (11 & 15) and daughter (8). PERFECTION! We absolutely enjoyed our stay. My husband and I were blown away by the location, steps from the sea & lovely neighbors! You can be as involved with the locals as much or as little as you choose. Ms. Annette makes the stay just like “home”, only better. Ms. Annette looked after us both and it was better than I could have imagined. We will be back! Thank you for a memorable experience.

Without a doubt this was the most laid-back, relaxing vacation we have ever taken. I wish I had known about this many years ago & that I was younger so I could go more often. Location is perfect, free of tourists, traffic, & noise; friendly neighbors. Maybe 20 yards to the beach, but beach is a bit rocky. BR's are air conditioned; main area open to sun & breezes. Only excursion was Martha Brae rafting, which was fun. Ms. Annette is magical & made every Jamaican meal I had ever heard about; all were AWESOME, tho am not fond of Ackee & Saltfish. Some advice before going: a) bring lots of cash ($500) as credit cards aren't that useful & you need the cash for Kirk (the driver), fresh seafood/fruits/vegetables/groceries that Ms Annette buys, Martha Brae rafting, Covid Tests for USA return flight, & tips for Ms. Annette & Sandra (2 days/week); b) buy lots of breakfast food & snacks when stopping on the way to the villa from the airport; c) liquor is strangely kinda expensive, even rum; d) buy BIG jugs of water (tho I had no trouble drinking tap water); e) bring a thermal cup as ice melts in no time & is made in trays. IT IS A TRIP OF LIFETIME.....don't wait till you're older to take it.

Where to begin? The process from the beginning was great. Karen answered my questions all the time. No matter the time I sent them. I am big on communication and she really was wonderful with that. She explained everything we wanted to know, fixed any minor issues I had. Kirk the driver was great , he drove very safely which I loved. Thank Kirk. What can we say about Ms Annette. She shopped for us and surprised us with things we forgot to ask for. We got spoiled with all the nostalgic home cook meals Ms. Annette gave us. Thank you so much. Hope we weren't too much trouble. I highly recommend this beautiful villa. We loved all the art pieces, and the little uplifting messages everywhere. It was secure, the beach was heaven, like it was all yours.
