We were looking for a peaceful, night away from the kids, not too far from the twin cities, but in a country setting... We received exactly what we wanted.

Beautiful property with all the amenities you could want and need. Christie and Greg were the sweetest host. They even helped us light the charcoal grill. I haven’t stopped recommending their place since we got home.

This was a beautiful and peaceful place! We really enjoyed the use of the canoe to get out on the quiet lake, and caught some fish. I enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks. It rained part of the time during our stay but that didn't matter- the beautiful windows that went to the floor made it enjoyable to sit inside and look out at all the nature. The decor is so modern and fun. We loved hanging out here. There is a small fridge and microwave along with plastic plates and silverware...so you can do a microwave meal if you'd like to eat in. Otherwise there are restaurant recommendations in the area. We really enjoyed our time here and the hosts were great!

We had the absolute best time staying at this beautiful property! It was perfect for a night away- just a short drive outside of the twin cities but it felt like a different world. It was quiet and the property is beautiful. The guest house was spotless, we loved the high ceilings and natural life. The bonfire pit and view of the lake really made this place special. Nothing beats enjoying some (complimentary!) coffee on the dock in the morning!

My husband and I spent our kidless anniversary hidden here playing cards, reading and just generally relaxing. We loved the vibe of the windows and property. So relaxing. The view was beautiful and the stars were amazing. The only complaint was that the maitress stunk.

Was a lovely unique loft that allowed us to unplug and enjoy the beautiful weather. We walked the trail, took the canoe out on the lake, but we didnt want to light the campfire because with no rain, its dry and with the breeze, we weren't going to risk it! Definitely would recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days at the end of our honeymoon to take some much-needed introvert time to relax and decompress after the stress of pulling off a wedding. The Dutch Lake Guest House is the perfect getaway to experience a balanced mix of modern accommodations and natural beauty. We loved being able to enjoy the outdoors and sip our coffee by the lake, go out on a canoe ride or walk around the trail, and hang out in the hammocks, while still being able to go inside to enjoy the modern comforts of some a/c, a shower, the kitchenette, and a cozy bed. We didn't end up using the fire pit because it's been such a dry summer, but that is another feature for guests to enjoy when conditions allow. Christie and Greg are super nice and helpful and let us know how we could contact them with any questions or requests. The first house is on their property but over our 4 night stay we only saw them a couple times when we happened to be outside at the same time, so my husband and I still felt like we were on a private getaway with the solitude to enjoy time with each other. The cherry on top of the whole experience was being able to hang out with Picasso the dog, who is the cutest, happiest, and fluffiest pup ever. Overall we loved our experience and highly recommend this for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing trip!

My husband and I spend a night here to celebrate our anniversary. We didn’t want to leave. We spent hours relaxing in the hammocks and going out in the canoe. We enjoyed exploring the property. The space was immaculate and well decorated. There is only a small fridge and microwave so plan accordingly. We went into town and had great burgers at troubles bar and restaurant. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our overnight at this cute little place. It was very peaceful and quiet, with a great view of the lake.

We spent a night here to celebrate our anniversary. This location was exactly as advertised. Super cute, quiet, lovely nature trail, clean and comfortable setting! My husband had ordered flowers through a local florist and they were nicely placed in the room when we arrived. Would definitely rebook or recommend this location for a similar getaway! Side note: we explored the local area a bit and found a great restaurant in Delano called Brickside Grille and Tap...loved it. Wish we lived closer!

Our stay provided exactly what we were looking for: relaxing surroundings in a fun, contemporary setting. The sunsets were beautiful. Incredibly friendly hosts and their dog, Picasso, was a great companion!

The suite would have been limited for a long stay since there is not a full kitchen. But it was great for our little getaway. Owners are on site but gave us great privacy while still being available for questions.

The only downside was that the mattress was a very firm.

This gem of an VRBO is located at the end of a gravel road on a beautiful little lake. The guest house is very quaint. It’s decorated in minimal decor. The views from the windows are amazing. The hiking trails on the farm were gorgeous in the fall. I will come back again to enjoy the serenity of this beautiful rental. I was gifted a small container of honey as a welcome gift. There’s were also amazing muffins, juice and fruit for breakfast. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Property has a modern/farm house style in the country. Very quiet and enjoyable for a simple get away. This would be a great place if you are looking to unwind and unplug but not if you are looking for a lot of stuff to do. Great wineries around to try out. Hosts are very accommodating and nice!

When you get there you dont want to leave. Loved it.

This funky loft is off a dead end road in a scenic, rural part of Minnesota, next to a lake with little motorized boat traffic. That equals peace and quiet for a relaxing getaway. The trail around the property is a nice way to get outside, as is the canoe. Restaurants nearby offer takeout, and the World’s Biggest Ball of Twine is a short drive away in Darwin for kitschy fun. This was my first VRBO, and it was great!

Beautiful, clean, modern and bright space to stay. Amazing bird watching including a visit from a huge flock of north American pelicans. Peaceful paddle out in the canoe. Perfect little on-site hiking trail. Can’t wait to return!

Great view and lodging. Trails are great and lake view is spectacular. Wish there was a TV in unit but that was my only suggestion

Just what I was looking for- a nice place with a beautiful view of the lake and trees, huge windows. The maps gps didn’t take me to the right place but switched to goggle maps and it took me right there (1 mile off). Would love to go back!

We had a great stay! Lots of space on the property for a nice walk around, and great views of the sunset over the lake. The unit was very clean and we loved the big windows overlooking the lake.

Quiet get away to celebrate my friend’s 40th, the Owners were SO great, the property was amazing! They put out wood for a fire, we used the canoe and there were amazing walking trails to take in the Fall colors! This authentic property left us both feeling so inspired! The landscaping and attention to all details made this rental a standout!
