This residence is a beautiful apartment above a garage setting on the grounds of a much bigger home in Saratoga. Very peaceful and scenic from apartment windows. Owners of home were very inviting but not at all disturbing. Bit of a sugar ant issue in kitchen but such is the area and took care of it. Really enjoyed this home away from home. The property is not in the best shape but the little guest suite over the garage was clean and well kept with a beautiful view. Our family was very happy here. Thank you!

Right off the bat the manager told us that the property gets overrun by ants. We were told that they have an infestation every year for three months out of the year, which we were within. We were required to follow a procedure regarding how we dealt with food. We were unable to even leave dog food down for our two little dogs. We found out by being inundated with ants all over the dogs food and water. Consequently we could not leave our dogs for a period of time with food and water because of the ants. So we had to always take our dogs with us. The owner of the property threatened us with calling the police on us if we complained to the manager, so we could not even express our frustration with the situation. The property was not what they reported it to be. We were highly disappointed and left 5 days early. He would not refund us any money. He is a liar and a thief!

The property was well described; there were no surprises. We appreciated the dog friendliness, the private setting and, the privacy afforded us. Our interactions with property manager and briefly with owners was lovely. We have booked to go back.

Enjoyed our stay. Location was quiet. Guest House had everything we needed. The only negative is that I really didn't have anywhere to potty my little pup. No grassy areas.

Wife and I enjoyed our visit and really enjoyed the town of Los Gatos with it's shops, restaurants and Sunday Farmers Market.

We just needed a place to sleep while visiting family nearby. This place fit the bill fine. The location and price were the two biggest reasons we chose to stay here. It was clean and very quiet, quite comfortable. The weekend we were there was chilly and it got a little cold inside overnight, but we were able to warm it up using the gas fireplace. We had a little trouble getting the tv to work - it took some time to get the satellite to come on and it went off randomly, but since we didn't spend much time there, it was only a minor inconvenience.

Cozy spot in a great location with lovely owners onsite! Lost power for 28 hours in a rain/wind storm right after checking in -thankfully gas fireplace provided some heat. Apartment could use some updating including more lighting in sitting area and a serious deep clean.

The property was convenient to all of our activities in the South Bay. The owners were easily accessible.

My sister and I stayed here as traveling nurses for two months. We were beyond pleased with our time here! The house had everything listed, was SUPER clean and had plenty of cookware, utensils, etc, towels and blankets. We also loved that there was free laundry and free parking for both of our cars. The best thing about it all were the amazing hosts, Karen and Cyrus! They really made this feel like a home away from home. They were helpful if we needed anything and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and we feel so lucky to have found it! We almost extended our stay just to spend more time at this outstanding home! The towns (Saratoga and Los Gatos) are within 3 miles in each direction and so much fun for all times of the day and great options for dining and activities. There are also many wonderful trails surrounding the area that we loved to explore on our days off. If you are looking to stay in the area don’t look any further! This is where you want to be. P.s. The fireplace inside was our favorite bonus for the cooler days. We can’t wait to come back!

Nice place in Saratoga near Monte Soreno, giving it easy access to the town area of Los Gatos and Saratoga. We took multiple hikes in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the location was great for accessing the Bay Area and the Santa Cruz / Monterey Bay area.

We enjoyed staying at this VRBO. It gave us some space to move around compared to a hotel room. There were four of us, my wife and I and two grown sons, so the only negative was the standard size pull down bed for two adults. Great neighborhood and nice views.

This guest suite was a fantastic place to stay! It is very light and feels spacious and clean. Beautiful, peaceful, safe neighborhood. Air conditioning works well which is very important in the summer as the unit is upstairs. Having the full kitchen was great and Humphrey the property manager is the best! Highly recommend staying here!

The views are BEAUTIFUL. The jacuzzi tub was our main selling point, since my son was here for intensive scoliosis therapy. I'm glad we chose it. The hosts are super sweet, and it was easy to come and go - everything worked well, nice and quiet, easy place to be. Grateful for the quiet road, and no neighbors above or below - just us above a three car garage. Beds are comfy, towels and wash cloths were all new. Plenty of plates, needed a few more pots, but I guess most people don't cool as often as we do. ;-) The agent we connect with isn't the owner on site, but communication is great, and you can tell they care a lot. Oh! The laundry down stairs in the three car garage was really helpful to have all to ourselves. The daily drive to and from the clinic in San Jose was easy and stress free, about 15 min. Oh, and Santa Cruz is about 30 minutes away. Just a lovely little place, fairly near everything.

We had a wonderful stay. It was everything and more. I especially enjoyed listening to birdsong in the garden.

This property was an okay experience for my family. The guesthouse was pretty dusty and was very clearly pet friendly with fur on the furniture and carpets. Some members of my family have allergies, so they did not enjoy their stay. However, that is more my fault than the owners since it is clearly listed as pet friendly. Just be warned it’s VERY pet friendly. The area of Saratoga is beautiful and the owner was very nice and accommodating. They have a great view and the neighbor was beautiful.

My husband and I and little Yorkie camped our way from Minnesota in order to safely visit our son in Mountain View, who has been sheltering in place since March. We were looking for a place with a large terrace where we could visit with him at a safe social distance. This property was perfect. He visited us daily, we did some hiking, we ordered food delivered from many of the fine restaurants in Los Gatos, and we had ample room on the patio to share dinner, play games together on our tablets, and even watch some downloaded movies. The terrace has a fantastic view of Silicon Valley, and we watched the city lights come on each evening. The little lights on the patio were much appreciated, as were the motion-detection outdoor lighting, and the lantern the owner generously lent to give us a little more lighting for our outdoor dining. The cottage itself is lovely, and we enjoyed getting to experience living in the high hills of Los Gatos. We can't thank the owner enough for making this property available and providing us such a safe and incredible setting to visit our son.

We had a very lovely time in this homey, comfortable, pet friendly guesthouse. Our hosts were very friendly and took excellent care of us. The property is located in a very beautiful and secluded neighborhood, perfect for recharging your batteries. Thanks again!

I booked this property for recovery from major surgery that required travel to this area. It was the ideal place to heal. Quiet, peaceful, close to stores, owners are incredibly kind. Everything was a smooth process

This unit had a few issues that are hard to overlook, although the people we communicated with were very friendly. The tub hadn't been cleaned and we found hair and dirt on it. The floors were not very clean and we found hair and dirt when we walked in. The kitchen could use a few things, like sponges for dishes, an oven mit, and a knife sharpener since all but one knife could not cut through anything safely. We chose this place in part because they allowed dogs, and thankfully, it didn't smell like dog. However, it seems there were fleas in the house (we checked for bed bugs). We all (human) got bitten up pretty badly, but our dogs could not be blamed because they are on medication, and we had no such issue before we arrived at this house. Our guess is that the last guests had a dog with fleas. It was a very unpleasant aspect of the stay and I would check in with the owner in the future to make sure they can verify the cleanliness of the place. We did not address this issue with the contact person as it took us a couple days to figure out what was going on and then our stay was over. However, we feel that it is important for other guests to know this before their stay. The property itself is nice and feels safe, and our ease at coming and going was appreciated.

My family and I stayed here for 5 days. The location is perfect. Away from town, but not too far that you can’t run into town for something. The property is so quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay in this house again!

Spacious accommodation. Clean. Quiet location but convenient to city downtown. Back area not really suited for small dog but great neighborhood for walking your pet. Wonderful hosts.

Home was clean, we love the little barbeque area, and although right next to the main house, we appreciated the privacy.

We were in the process of moving from the Bay Area to Austin, needed 3 weeks of temporary accommodation. We wanted a quite place that's close to where we lived/worked and this was a PERFECT choice! Located in a SUPER nice and quite part of Saratoga/Montes Sereno,. Close to Los Gatos down town and major highways that will get you anywhere in the Bay Area (HWY 85, HWY 17, etc). Great hosts, views, weather and more. Highly recommended!

This property was just what we needed. The property mgr was extremely available, helpful, flexible and patient.

This was one of the best VRBO I’ve stayed in... it was exactly as described, it was perfect for a few day get away. We didn’t even turn on the tv because of the gorgeous views or sitting on the patio. The owners were very friendly and available if needed but we didn’t need anything because the house is well equipped. I will definitely look at staying again if back in the area.

I wanted a place where I could write and my dog could romp. My desires were met above and beyond my hopes. The views were amazing and my pup chased his ball until he dropped.

We headed to Saratoga for a family weekend. Was looking to be close to family and friends in a good area and this was perfect. Hard to find the street especially at night but it worked out. Parking situation not the best was hard to turn around on a hill to park but again made it work. Older run down property but the guesthouse was situated away from main house so privacy was there. Karen and Cyrus very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
