Beachfront with Pool/ Great Family House. Start living the Pura Vida today!

This was perfect for us. Private beach, private pool.
5.0
We stayed 9 days at Paradise Found and can't wait to return. The location is unbeatable if you're looking for privacy and a peaceful, uncrowded beach. This was just our speed. We'd wake up and have coffee on the balcony while watching the birds, walk/swim along the beach, dip in the pool (which was kept perfect & clean thanks to the kind caretaker, José), then head out to explore midday before making it back to a spectacular sunset night after night.
This location is ideal for short day trips to nearby national parks (make sure to book tickets in advance to Manuel Antonio), farmers markets in Jacó or Quepos, and other adventures. A rental car is a must.
The house is perfectly clean and stocked with everything you need. We overpacked -- just bring your suits, sun block, and be ready to have the best time in such a beautiful country. I could go on and on about the kindness of the people, the fruit, the landscape, everything. The vacation of our dreams.

When selecting a VBRO for our Costa Rican vacations we have three requirements- on the beach, away from crowds, and in our budget. Paradise Found was a perfect fit.
The home is in a quiet neighborhood with not much traffic. Small town near by for groceries and a few good restaurants. The majority of tourists go north to Jaco or South to Manuel Antonio so during the week there is very few people on the beach.
The beach is spectacular! It was so nice not to have to pack up to go to the beach, it’s Right out the front door - clean, flat, expensive, sand, not rocky. Great for walking, running, even biking. We did a lot of body surfing and boogie boarding. The garage at the house is full of boogie boards, surf boards, and bikes to use. There are also beach chairs available, in the evenings we would cook our dinner and take it to the beach and watch the set.
The house is clean, well maintained and adequately supplied. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces, we spent a lot of time reading and playing games on the porch and balcony. The views are beautiful and the pool refreshing.
We thoroughly enjoyed stay at Paradise Found.

This was a great place to get away from the touristy areas and enjoy a relaxing week on a quiet beach. The house was definitely rustic but in a good way. The most rustic part was having no A/C so make sure you are comfortable at night sleeping with fans blowing to try and keep things cool. Having the pool was wonderful as it helped cool things off after being on the beach all day.
The kitchen was well stocked and we were relieved that the blender worked well. This might sound trivial, but we like to make smoothies from all of the fresh fruit and having a good blender is key. We cooked meals in the house half of the time and is was never a problem finding the dishes, pots or utensils to complete the job.
Jose the caretaker set up the horseback ride for us was available if we needed something.
I had to work while I was here and the internet worked fairly well as I was able to navigate most websites quickly and use applications from work without lag. I did run into problems with wifi calling on my cellphone which was unstable for several phone calls.
Overall great stay and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Our first time to costa Rica was amazing! We stayed here for 8 nights with my parents and our 2 kids. House is on some amazing property. Right across from the beach. We collected so many shells! Amazing to walk out the bedroom and see the ocean. Kids loved the pool. The location is 20 out of 10. Peaceful. Lots of Privacy. Only a few people drove passed. This location was central to all the activities we had planned. Seriously an amazing location. We were not prepared for the humidity of Costa Rica. We knew it was going to be warm but did not factor in 80% humidity. Sleeping, at night, with no AC was a challenge. We knew the house didn't have AC and hoped there was fans. Which there are in the bedrooms.
Would have liked the house to be a little more bug and critter proofed. We kept the bedroom doors closed at all times. And tried to keep the mainfloor locked up too. There are gaps in the ceiling in the bedroom we stayed in. A cockroach fell on us one night. Lizards are everywhere which my kids loved catching them. But still prefer them and roaches to stay outside.
Overall we had an amazing time! Definitely will be back to Costa Rica!

My husband and I spent 3 idyllic weeks at Paradise Found. The most relaxing time. We walked the beautiful beach, took a few day trips and walked down the beach in the late afternoons for Happy Hour at Encantata Yoga retreat and restaurant.
After 12 days we were joined by our daughter, her girlfriend and their 3 children.
The pool on the property was a godsend, a great place to cool off and relax.
The sea and surf were warm and fun to play in and having beach chairs and umbrellas a wonderful addition.
My husband also blew up the tires on the bikes in the garage and the girls used them for bike rides with the children.
We went to the Mono Galosa Chocolate Factory, the Chino Monkey Boat Tour, Pura Vida Gardens and Waterfalls and hiked through the Rain Maker Forest.
All were wonderful attractions and not too busy. We also went horseback riding on the beach, a real treat for the children.
Esterillos is quiet, private and not touristy at all. The house though rustic had everything we needed and the Lanai up top is cool and shady on hot afternoons.
Thank you! Mary
We hope to be back again next year.

This property was a dream come true for our family. We brought our adult children for a vacation. Excellent communication from owners. Amazing views, clean and refreshing pool, and the ocean/beach is right there! The house is fun; all areas are spacious. Property is private and always felt safe. José (the caretaker) lives on the property. He was helpful when needed but otherwise we barely knew when he was there. We spent a lot of time on both the upper and lower porches. Enjoyed the wildlife (didn’t see any monkeys here though) and beautiful foliage. Took turns taking naps on the hammock. The dirt road to the property is a bit bumpy but totally worth it. We spent a lot of time in Jaco (about 30 min away). Activities included: shopping, zip lining, Manuel Antonio Natural Park, ATV tour to waterfall and lunch, and ended our week with a farewell dinner adventure at the top of a mountain. We also rode the waves in the ocean on the provided boogie boards and spent hours just talking, reading, swimming and enjoying the sun. It did rain off and on, here and there, but not once did it get in the way of our plans. Lots of beautiful sunshine. I could go on and on, but if you are considering trying this property, don’t hesitate a minute longer. We had the best time here and made some family memories to last a lifetime. We loved the beach and our first few days in Costa Rica were spent on the quiet beach in front of the house and at the local restaurant just a short walk down the road. The area is amazing and the house had everything we needed. Very quiet and peaceful, Stunning location!

Great spot!
This is our second time staying at Paradise Found and we had another great visit! Very comfortable home, refreshing pool, well equipped kitchen, beginner surf waves, quiet beach for long walks, helpful caretaker, central location to activities, etc. We’d love to go back!

Perfect location
The location is just everything. The house was the perfect size for our family and had everything that we needed during our stay. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a long hot day. We basically had the beach to ourselves. We felt safe while staying here. I would have loved to stay longer, and I hope we get to stay again one day.

A little slice of paradise!!
You know those VRBO listings where you wonder if the property really is that gorgeous or if they just took really great pictures? This property really is that gorgeous! The grounds are lush and green, the flowers are vibrant, the pool is sparkly and clean, the home is comfortable and authentic! The beach really is that quiet and the sand is softer than you can imagine! Jose, the caretaker, is there if you need him but never intrusive! Each bedroom has more than one fan which makes sleeping at night comfy even when it's 80 degrees and they all open onto the upper deck that faces the ocean so you get that wonderful breeze!! Each room has plenty of towels for the shower and the beach and the garage is stocked with all the beach necessities you might need! Communication with the property owner is as easy as can be and they are quite possibly some of the nicest people I have ever rented from! They truly want your stay to be as amazing as possible! I could go on forever about how great our trip was but I think the fact that we were already looking at dates for our next trip says it all. Book this house...you won't be sorry!

Truly Paradise!
This was such a wonderful week. The house and location were exactly as described and precisely what we were looking for! Privacy, quiet, the pool was a MUST to stay cool! Jose was awesome and hooked us up with horseback riding on our last night. It was glorious! Would love to stay there again.

Beautiful outside pool and beach
House a little rustic but would be back jfor the pool and view. Might not see a soul on the beach solitude the way I like it

Such a beautiful house and location
This was hands down the best location, private, beautiful sunrise and sunset directly on the beach with so much wildlife. Always entertaining and beautiful. Centrally located to many of the things we wanted to do.( Manuel Antonio and snorkeling tour at Cano Island with dive and surf touring) was amazing

Wonderful Location.
We've stayed at Paradise Found several times and it is my happy place. The location is quiet and lovely. Kids spend hours in the pool and jump out only to play in the waves. You can take the long and lovely beach walk to local restaurants and horse rides. The location at the end of a dirt road is remote, so a car is recommended. As with any beach in this area, you need to be careful of rip currents. However, with the gradual slope of the beach, it is easy for children to play safely.

Perfect Family Get-away!
This is the perfect location if you are looking for a quiet, nearly deserted beach. We literally saw only a handful of people walking the beach the whole week we were there. The house is steps from the beach and also has a pool to cool off in. Note that the house is not air conditioned and it does get warm in Costa Rica, but there were plenty of ceiling and floor fans to make it comfortable. You can also opt to sleep outside on the wonderful 2nd floor porch which is the ideal spot for watching the spectacular sunsets. Our teenagers enjoyed the boogie boards provided in the garage and there were also beach chairs you can use to sit on the beach. At times the water pressure in the sinks and showers was not ideal, but it was a minor inconvenience to trade for all the amenities at "Paradise Found". You will see parrots flying overhead, huge iguanas scampering on the roof and little lizards sunning themselves. The nearest town (Jaco) is an easy 15 minute drive for groceries, restaurants and activities like zip-lining. It is an easy drive to Manuel Antonios National Park as well. We felt safe and well cared for with the caretaker Jose on site and owner Mary answered all our questions promptly before we arrived. If you're looking for a secluded spot for a family vacation and an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica, we highly recommend Paradise Found.

Paradise Found
Would recommend this property to family and friends. Such a great location. As a family we enjoyed our stay and the house was better than anticipated. So easy to travel to great Costa Rica destinations but also so wonderful to hang at the house and use the pool and play at the beach. Looking forward to the future when we can return.

Paradise Found... Pure Perfection!
We are frequent travelers to Costa Rica and have to say that Paradise Found is named appropriately! The sandy beach goes for miles and is basically empty... the grounds are beautiful, the house clean and well stocked. Jose, who lives next door keeps the pool clean and the yard kept. He is kind and sweet. We are not fluent in Spanish and he knows little English, but he has a translator app on his phone if you need anything. The beds are comfortable, the pillows amazing. The upper deck is the place to be, you get a full view of the ocean, the pool and the sunrise to your right, sunset to your left! This is truly Paradise Found!

Paradise Found Review
Nice house, beautiful view, good location for shopping and restaurants. We all loved sitting on the porch watching and listening to the ocean waves crashing on the beach. Had the beach mostly to ourselves for long walks in the morning. Some minor things with the house: Most of the Floor fans were not working, and screen door on the side needs repair. Biggest problem were the ants. We had to buy spray and spray the floors even day. Would also liked to have toilet paper in the bathrooms when we arrived.

Paradise Found Indeed!!!
Paradise Found is a gem of a property! Eight of us stayed quite happily in the house for a week. The beds and bedrooms are comfortable although there is no air conditioning. The ceiling fans and oscillating fans helped quite a bit (as did sound of the waves). Each bedroom has a private bathroom (two full baths and a half bath). The first floor is one large open space with a sitting area and small flat screen tv (which we didn't use once :) on one side and a large, well equipped eat-in kitchen on the other (with a half bath in the middle). We didn't spend much time inside as there was a large, covered patio with several sitting areas to enjoy the outdoors. We played cards/board games, sipped delicious Costa Rican coffee, and ate several dinners on a large table on the side of the wrap around patio. The in-ground pool in the front yard is wonderful! There are plenty of floats and toys for the kids to use in the garage. There are also surf boards, boogie boards and other things to use on the beach. Speaking of the beach, the sand is dark, fine and quite soft to walk on. It goes on for quite a ways in both directions and we hardly saw more than a handful of people on any given day. It was as if the entire stretch was our own private beach. It is very wide and flat when the tide is out and there is nothing to poke your feet in the water. The ocean was the perfect temperature (no need to "get used to it") and very clear. The waves closer to shore were perfect for our little ones while the bigger waves further out were great for surfing or boogie boarding. The only downside to the beach were the sand fleas after sunset, but bug spray should take care of them. The caretakers (Jose, Jennifer and their son Daniel) were terrific. Daniel speaks English very well and made some great recommendations. There are several markets and restaurants nearby and lots of great activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the Mangrove Monkey Tour with Crazy Alex (1/2 hour away). Monkeys jump on your shoulder/head and eat banana from your hand. We also loved horseback riding on the beach booked through the farm down the road. Ziplining with nearby Chiclets was a highlight as we went down 14 ziplines above and through the jungle canopy while getting great ocean views. Overall, we had an amazing vacation at Paradise Found! Pure Vida!

Tranquility at its best.
We had visited this area over 20 years ago and knew we would see progress. Jaco was a sleepy one street beach town. Reminds me now of Cancun. So glad we found Paradise. We prefer the sound of birds and the waves. The caretakers respected our privacy but were there to answer any questions. Just be sure to download a translator app as they don't speak English.

Our Funfilled and Adventurous stay st Paradise Found!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paradise Found. The sunrise and sunsets were stunning from our home. Costs Rica was an adventure. We enjoyed white water rafting, hikes in the rainforests, gorgeous warerfalls, and a fun crocodile tour. The beach was amazing—we had it all to ourselves!! We enjoyed boogie boarding and surfing. The water was warm and inviting. Jennifer was very helpful with any questions we had during our stay. The house was comfortable for the 3 couples who stayed there. It was great having the pool to cool down in. Thanks for the tips on great restaurants! It was such a fun and memorable vacation! We want to come back!!

Peaceful and Relaxing
This house was the perfect place for my family of five. The location was awesome, like having your own private beach. If you have a family with kids (young or teenage) and are unsure about not staying at a resort, you need not worry. I never once felt like I had to worry about the security of my family, everyone that we interacted with was great. We had a rental SUV(4wd) and went on many day trips to zip line, hike, fish, shop and explore. The house was just right, not to fancy and not to rustic. The owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. The caretakers onsite were a very nice and accommodating family, not once did their presence ever bother, interrupt or impede on our time there. It was actually like having the security of your favorite neighbor that watches over things while your gone.
The only thing I can warn people about is the way people drive, you definitely have to drive defensively and pay extra attention. Lots of motorcycles on the road, road hazards are plentiful and the road maintenance is minimal (large and deep potholes that will blow out tires!). I will definitely be back, we loved it in Costa Rica!

Tranquility and beauty
My husband and I just returned home from Costa Rica and already miss the peace we found in Esterillos. Paradise Found is truly that. From the wonderful house, to the quiet road and neighborhood, to the miles long pristine beach it's a truly beautiful place. Most mornings were spent sitting on the front porch with our coffee and the caretaker's puppy Bolita, followed by a long walk on the beach sometimes with Bolita keeping us company and making us laugh.
Jennifer, the caretaker, and her family were present but never intrusive and though our Spanish-speaking skills are sorely lacking I think we managed to communicate okay. Their son Daniel, who speaks English very well met us the first afternoon and helped us get settled in.
The house comes with pretty much all the basics needed. The only thing I could possibly have wished for was air conditioning in the bedroom. Days were hot, low 90s and nights didn't cool until early morning hours. Fans certainly do help with the heat but the humidity was also very high. But, as I write this I realize that if there was AC I would have missed the sounds of the waves crashing and the smell of the ocean air.

Paradise definitely found!!
Our family of four couldn't of had a more perfect week long stay in Costa Rica!! We truly felt like we found paradise every single day there!! The playa is heaven on earth! The sand is so soft that we could walk barefoot for miles/kms. We enjoyed watching both the sun rise and the sun set on the same beach!! We have beautiful memories and pictures of monkeys in the backyard eating the banana's we left out for them to just lounging by the pool with not even a cloud in the sky!! The weather was perfect! Very warm and sunny! Perfect escape from the cold winter up north!! The caretakers Jose, Jennifer and son Daniel were so personable! Up early to make sure the property was well maintained. Daniel even guided us on the mangrove monkey tour. His puppy Bolita is also super friendly and adorable! We enjoyed taking her with us on our beach stolls!! This was the perfect getaway from it all location but still just a short drive from everything you could need. Although we never wanted or felt like we needed to leave the property! It had everything we were looking for!! Pura Vita from the Arguello's!! xoxo

Paradise Found perfect name for this home🏝🐒🐢🐴🌞
We had a group of seven and stayed 6 nights.
If your looking for a private beachfront this is the place. Had some amazing experiences monkeys in the backyard, baby turtles making their way to the ocean and did some horse back riding on the beach. They grounds keeper son Daniel was extremely helpful with the language barrier, and help use often with anything we needed. Five minutes to restaurants and grocery stores. We stayed from January 31st/February 6th the weather couldn’t of been better 31-33 never seen a drop of rain. Thanks you for letting use experience your home in paradise:)

Great place for a relaxing spring break trip with the family.
Great location away from the crowds at Jaco or Manuel Antonio. The beach is right across the dirt road in front of the house and is very remote. Most of the time, I didn't see any other people on the beach as far as I could see. The shallower waves were perfect for the kids to boogie board. If you're a more experienced surfer, they were breaking about 6 ft high a little further out. There were boogie boards and surf boards in the garage that we could use. After returning from the beach, it was nice to have an outdoor shower and pool. The charcoal grill in the back worked great for burgers and chicken. The kitchen had everything we needed. Loved laying in the hammock listening to the waves crash.
We stocked up at Walmart in San Jose before driving down. However, there was also a new, smaller supermarket just a couple of miles from the house that had everything you could need. It's in a shopping center with a coffee shop and some restaurants.
Overall, it's a good quiet location on a beautiful beach. Kids loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing and Secluded Home on Friendly Stretch of Beach
We cannot speak highly enough of our stay at Paradise Found! Though it is a bit farther than you'd expect from a supermarket and restaurant, it truly is in a fantastic location. We had the entire beach to ourselves every day of our stay, and loved having the pool to come back to and cool off in the shade. Many nights we sat on the porch and enjoyed the cool breeze while chatting and playing cards. We learned that both the Hotel Alma and the Hotel Pelicano (our favorite--Mikey and Diana are amazingly kind people. Tell them the gals from the University of Florida said hi!) were both in walking distance (about a mile down the beach) for dinner and beachside drinks. Our only recommendation would be to look into renting a car! PURA VIDA!

Great!
This was a great vacation beach house for our family. The beach is so quiet and peaceful that most days we only saw a few other people, and to have our own pool as well as the beautiful beach was awesome. The caretaker, Mark was very helpful booking ziplining, taking us to a waterfall and giving surfing lessons. The house is big and comfortable and, as long as you have a car, its in a great vacation. Perfect vacation home if you're looking for a quite and relaxing place.

Unfortunate circumstances
We unfortunately never got to stay at this property, but were booked for the end of January 2016. I am in early pregnancy and am having complications so we had to cancel our trip. However, the customer service here was outstanding during the booking process and cancellation. She was understanding, and we received a refund back. Not all of our properties during our 2.5 week stay did this. We were very greatful and when the time comes to go back we will definitely book here again!

HOME AWAY FROM HOME!
We loved Paradise found! It was the perfect Costa Rican getaway house with all the necessary amenities from cookware to beach towels! No air conditioning, but ceiling fans in every room kept the house cool. Nice veranda out front to escape the hot sun and look out at the beach a few yards away. Lovely clean pool was refreshing and a great place to sip cocktails in the evening. Several restaurants close by including Los Pelicanos-our favorite! Short drive to Jaco for grocery stores, bank, gift shops etc. Great house for familiies and or group of friends. Mark, the caretaker and his sweet family live on the premises and are there to answer questions or give advice. We can not wait to go back!

Paradise Found Esterillos Este, Costa Rica
Great place to stay. Pool is clean, lots of lizards hanging around the perimeter and a few friendly ones on our deck. Everything works great considering the harsh salt air. We even had a sloth in our backyard tree and in the next door neighbors tree. The manager's of the Pelican Bar & Restaurant booked us a catamaran sunset cruise with 8 drinks included, full wonderful meal. snorkeling and beautiful sunset all for $80/person. We also rented bikes from the same place. The beach is so beautiful but if you're looking for action, it's not here. You don't see more than 5 people on the beach at one time unless it's the weekend when I believe the locals come to cool off.

Review of Week Long Stay in Paradise Found
Paradise Found is a hidden gem of Costa Rica and I recommend it to anyone looking to go for the non-touristy route. The owners of the house are very good about communication and make sure you are all set to go. Mark, one of the caretakers, provided exceptional service and was ready on call to help us with any difficulties. Around the house is tons of wildlife and in the rainy season the monkeys come down and hangout in the backyard. The pool in the front yard is a real treat to have after a long swim in the warm ocean. Great place for those who love wildlife and the company of friendly creatures. The house is also located in a prime spot if one wants to go to Manuel Antonio for the day or other nearby points of interest. The people who own Hotel Pelicano down the street are very nice people and highly recommend stopping by. Overall, great experience.

Rejuvenating, Relaxing, and Beautiful!
Paradise Found was an absolute treat! Apart from a day hiking in the amazing rainforest, we spent the days lounging around, swimming in the pool, birdwatching, walking the endless beach, and just relaxing. A great place for those who like to photograph, from the geckos, brightly colored crabs and shimmering golden beetles, to the intricate seashells and breathtaking sunsets! There were plenty of restaurant options, but we chose to use the ample kitchen to make simple meals of beans, tortillas, and delicious fried plantains. The house was roomy and comfortable. I so didn't want to leave that when our last day came, I decided to stay up ALL night, swinging in the balcony hammock, listening to the sound of the waves, and soaking in the Pura Vida!
