We failed to read the emails listing what we needed to bring, and showed up with no sheets/linens. They immediately and kindly provided us with some. The house is located right near the beach as well as a cute crabbing place for the kids. 2 restaurants are also in walking distance. I had a great route for my daily run. We loved it!

Loved the location, quiet neighborhood walking distance to beautiful West Dennis beach. Cottage was as described. Loved the backyard overlooking a salt water marsh and my daughter loved all the bunnies around the yard. Walking distance to two restaurants, we enjoyed the Sand Bar, good pizza and great view.

The location is perfect, the property literally 2 minutes or less from the beach which is super convenient!

This was a second stay at the Crosswinds! We had a great time with the family to end summer! Everything is so conveniently located (beach, Route 28, attractions in both Yarmouth and Dennisport, etc.) We can’t wait to return next year!

This small cottage is a two minute walk from West Dennis beach! My husband and I stayed two weeks. The place is quite small, but it has what you need for a relaxing vacation- a small kitchen, closets and bureaus, an outdoor table in the back. The owners were terrific and responsive, It was clean and comfortable and priced right. We would come back!!

For details, see my previous review of 7/27/18 - says it all! Still my favorite place on the Cape. A very minor glitch at the beginning was immediately taken care of through Doug and all was good. This will be my go-to place always!

Excellent location. The West Dennis Beach is within walking distance, and with a partial ocean view from the cottage steps. The plus side with renting this property is you don't have to pay to park at the beach which is $20-$30 a day. The property manager was great to work with. He gave us some suggestions for dining. The Outdoor shower is always a plus at the Cape. I Highly recommend looking into this spot for your next Cape Getaway.

A charming little cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Very clean and well maintained property with a beautiful small backyard. If you like watching birds, make sure to bring a pair binoculars. Overall a perfect venue for a small family. A few minutes walking distance from a beautiful beach and a quick drive away from great food. Hoping to return.

I would recommend this place. The location was great. Close to the beach and a good location in Cape Cod overall for driving to different places. The place was nice and clean and had a great breeze coming off the ocean.

What a great place to spend a week at the beach. First half of the week was with my daughter, son-in-law and 2-year-old grandson; second half was with another daughter and her fiance. Two very different experiences, but the cottage was perfect for both. We arrived and were greeted by owner Doug and his family, truly lovely people. Doug is a virtual Cape Cod expert and is happy to share recommendations and suggestions for restaurants and activities, and was very reachable during our stay. The cottage is the quintessential beach cottage; set in a row of similar cottages, there was lots of family activity going on among them all and the by-the-sea atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Lack of A/C is a non-issue, as the crosswinds cooled the cottage so much that the sweatshirts came out at night a few times. We did use the two box fans and brought one of our own, but that's just a personal preference when sleeping. At the most it's a two- to three-minute walk to a great beach (no outrageous daily parking fee!) and a short drive to everything we wanted as far as restaurants, stores, and activities. The cottage itself has a really well-equipped kitchen. We did most breakfasts and lunches there, and found everything we needed for utensils, etc. My favorite thing was a big plastic wine glass, which I claimed every evening we weren't out for sitting on the patio. We were fortunate that the renters of the other connected unit were really nice people; the outdoor shower is shared between the units and there's not much privacy between the two patios, but it never posed a problem. I particularly liked that a reasonable cleaning fee was charged in our rental; having to spend the last morning of a vacation cleaning was always a gripe of mine in private rentals. We left the place as neat as we found it, but not having to clean a bathroom or wash a floor was well worth the fee. I honestly can't think of a negative to this rental; it was a great experience, and the pride Doug and his family take in their rentals is evident. I plan to start saving my pennies now with the aim of renting both connected cottages next year so our whole family can enjoy it together. We truly loved this place and hope to become yearly visitors.

We loved our stay at this property. It is in a very scenic location with the sandy beach on your doorstep. We enjoyed using the BBQ and the big outside table with a beautiful view over a nature reserve at the back, we saw rabbits and lots of birds. The cottage was just the right size for the five of us. Crosswinds Cottages was the perfect place for our family vacation in July. The cottages were clean, comfortable and offered all that we needed for our indoor and outdoor gatherings. Because of our proximity to a lovely ocean front beach, we were able to walk there at any time of the day. We were also close to ice cream shops, restaurants and activities such as mini-golf. I would happily return to Crosswinds in Dennis in the future. The owners were gracious and accommodating.
