Downtown Highlands - Walk Everywhere
Bienvenue à Highlands, en Caroline du Nord! Si vous cherchez un VRBO qui est à distance de la plupart des choses, alors ne cherchez pas plus loin. Perdez-vous dans le luxe et la sophistication que Highlands a longtemps été connu comme un invité dans notre appartement.
Léger et lumineux, le concept ouvert crée une expérience cosy mais spacieuse où vous pouvez vous détendre ou vous divertir dans un cadre rustique moderne. Les caractéristiques comprennent une cuisine entièrement équipée avec cuisinière à gaz et comptoirs en granit, coin bureau pour des vacances de travail, planchers de chêne dans le salon, buanderie avec fer / planche à repasser, deux vérandas et un parking privé pour deux véhicules.
Un fait amusant la salle de séjour était autrefois la salle à manger d'une vieille maison située au-dessus de Founders Park. Les fenêtres à galandage et les plafonds à caissons apportent l'ancien caractère des Highlands, désormais difficile à trouver. L'appartement est au deuxième étage d'un immeuble de deux étages, situé au-dessus de notre bureau Green Mountain Builders.
En tant que transplants dans la région, nous comprenons à quel point il est facile de tomber amoureux de Highlands et des environs. En tant que courtier et constructeur immobilier, nous sommes heureux de vous aider si vous décidez qu'il est temps pour votre propre coin de paradis.

We enjoyed our Highlands stay convenient for downtown as well as surrounding areas. We left the car parked and walked the easy distance to Highlands restaurants and shops.
The owner very thoughtfully shared flowers from the garden and as well was responsive when the iron needed attention.
The great room is large with several comfortable seating options.
Overall, a very positive stay and experience!

Great location in Highlands. Apartment was clean and well stocked. No ice maker but you can buy ice right across the street. We will definitely rent this again!

This is a really cute little apartment with everything we needed, in a great location just a few blocks to restaurants and shopping on Main St. We ate all our meals out and loved being able to walk to and from great restaurants. Despite its location in a mostly commercial area, we saw deer running by a couple of times during our stay. It was also nice to have a convenience store right across the street. The inside of the house was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit.

This property has been recently cleaned, painted, updated with new appliances, tile, fixtures. The bed was comfortable, access was easy. Great restaurant walking distance from the property.

This property is exactly as it is shown online. More than enough space for two people, kitchen is well appointed, bedroom is great size, plenty of closet space, comfy living room area and more. Mary was always very quick to respond. The location is very walkable to Main Street. Don't let the fact that this unit is located over a business deter you, you would never know they were there.

Easy walk to town and very close to restaurants and hikes. Checks all the boxes for a quick getaway to Highlands and no hassles. Good spot if you want to avoid any steep roads in (potentially) inclement weather. Outdoor space may feel limiting to some, but then again, you'll have all of downtown Highlands as your (practically) yard! Easy physical access and communication with owner.

The location is awesome and within walking distance to everything. The rental is well equipped with everything you will need. If you would like to cook your own meals, they have everything you will need you will not regret choosing this location. Furthermore, we left a few items behind and Mary our host, gathered up our left behind items and quickly mailed them to us, Mary is an awesome host and you will not regret staying at this location

This house is in a great location within a 5 minute stroll from downtown and two minutes to the best breakfast in Highlands at the Blue Bike. The apartment is really cute and comfortable but starting to show its age a bit with some older appliances and fixtures. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you like to sleep in you may be a bit bothered by some of the early morning road noise and activity at the gas station next door.

Check in was not good. Lock box is antiquated and if you are not careful the box and key is likely to fall in one of numbers cracks on the deck which is difficult to retrieve, which is what happened to us. In addition to that there are no paper products (toilet paper and paper towels) or bath soap provided. These items we have always found provided in VRBO's which we have stayed in.

We love Highlands and this cute little cottage works perfect for us and our 2 small dogs. This is our 2nd year to stay here and we have already booked a month for 2024. The very best thing is being so close to town and walking everywhere including a number of trails, all the restaurants and fabulous shops. Mary and Steve are great hosts and have a hidden gem in this little treehouse cottage with a bit of luxury!

You can't go wrong with this home. It's all you need and then some. Also, a very convenient location - walking distance to the Old Edwards Inn and the rest of downtown Highlands. I'd stay there again!

Absolutely love staying at this property. It’s the perfect location for us! We can easily walk to town for shopping and restaurants! Close to fishing areas for my husband. Wonderful surrounding areas for walking, hiking, and sight seeing. The interior is beautifully decorated with a lot of original architecture elements. One of our favorite places to visit!

From start to finish our stay was top notch. I don't think I can overstate the convenience of this location if you want the downtown experience of highlands. We walked everywhere the entire weekend, we didn't start the car once! We could not recommend this place enough!

My wife and I were in town for the Bear Shadow Festival and to visit Highlands. The cabin was perfect for us. It was right in the heart of Highlands and in walking distance to everything. It was well-furnished and updated, including heated floors in the bathroom. Mary and Steve were great hosts and replied immediately when we told them we forgot our coffee grinder and asked if they had one. Steve brought one over that evening so that we could enjoy coffee on the front porch the next morning. We can't wait to plan a trip back and will definitely stay there again.

Very nice apartment. Very clean & had everything we would need. Heated floors in the bathroom (for those cooler nights). Little market across the street for late night munchies and easy walking distance to Main Street, restaurants & shops. Breweries & breakfast places really close to the apartment. Highly recommend.

Great spot! Cute, clean, well equipped and an easy walk into downtown. Would totally stay here again. A small suggestion for the owner: add a mirror over the chest in the bedroom so couples don't have to fight for the bathroom mirror. ;)

We needed to shift our stay by a day to arrive early ahead of winter storm Elliott. Thankfully the property was available and the owners were more than gracious saying “not a problem”. Communication was excellent throughout the stay.
The location is great but with the colder than normal temps we were not able to walk that much.
The property was well stocked and the washer dryer was a great bonus. The propane heater was very nice, but we found it a bit of a challenge to regulate the temps along with the baseboard heaters. Not anyones fault with the wild swings -8 at one point an 27 degrees when we left. However upgraded windows would help.
Living area is very spacious and the gas cooktop was great.
All in all a great stay to one of our favorite places.

Very close to main street and all the shops. Gas station is 5 steps away from the unit. The listing was exactly as shown in the pictures and the bathroom just finished a remodel. Owner was more than happy to provide any thing we needed and offer a little more insight about the town. If we ever are back in the highlands area we will be staying here again. Everything needed and more was inside the unit and at our disposal.

Easy walking distance from downtown which has many quality restaurants. Comfortable furniture. Balcony with outdoor furniture. Couple blocks from Kelsey Park which has multiple events and concerts. Block away from pickle ball courts. Gas grill. Owner very responsive.
