This is my review as a member of a well known travel review site: Our particular unit needed some deep cleaning and items replaced. The kitchen had NO ice maker and NO garbage disposal. Only one small ice tray was provided for a unit with NO ice maker. Condo association also sprayed for bugs while we were there yet we were still expected to keep food garbage in an open garbage container all week which seems counterproductive. Installing a garbage disposal when this unit is obviously wired and ready for one would certainly help with bug issues. The TV has limited channels and would not turn off. We had to leave it on all week and it was on when we checked in.The toilet seats had areas where the finish was missing and there was visible black mold in the caulking around the master tub. There is no inside deadbolt on the door for added safety as in other units. Its been YEARS since the 2 public BBQ grills broke-2 years ago we found leftover charcoal so we could grill out and now the property is down to one grill for everyone after they removed the remaining grill. Seems the HOA fees should easily be able to address repairs and replacements.The unit cleaning could have been better. For a location as great as Summer Place, one would expect the amenities and condition to be in better order. Summer Place is not the only oceanfront property-this beach is lined with competing properties so it would seem attention could be given to keeping the property competitive by comparison.

We loved location of property! Saw dolphins on numerous occasions! Condo extremely clean. Beds very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Communication with owner was excellent. Would definately come back to stay again.

I miss seeing Sally at the desk daily.. but touched base with her on her 2 days here. Unit was nice and clean with sufficient kitchen items. I would suggest a deep clean of the washer and keeping it open when not in use. I ran a clean cycle with bleach while there. Front loaders are terrible for keeping the smell out.

We had rented a condo through Airbnb and it wasn’t quite what we expected in that the pool was cold. I called Ron and he quickly found us a place at Summerplace. It was perfect. He and the staff at Legacy Vacations have been so easy to work with. I book my stays directly with them now. We have stayed at Summerplace for several years now and have never been disappointed! It’s a great place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Destin. My grandson especially likes to walk across the street at night and play Putt-putt and eat ice cream afterwards! The people at the course are equally as accommodating and friendly! Legacy Vacations has a wonderful staff to work with and Summerplace is a great place to stay!

The condo was the best we've ever stayed in for a vacation. It was equipped with every single thing you could possibly need in the kitchen. The hot tub outside wasn't working for the first few days which was disappointing, but they got it fixed and it was really nice to relax in the hot tub since we had cold weather during our stay. All around a beautiful place to stay and we will definitely be going back!

The grounds were clean and presentable, the lobby staff and maintenance staff were friendly and approachable and the unit was better than described! The pool was warm (although the hot tub was out of order) and we made due anyway. It was a pleasure to stay here as a respite from going through Hurricane Ian and we will stay here again. The unit was easy to locate and close to everything - walkable to restaurants and an easy short drive to Destin. The unit was very well stocked - utensils, serving dishes, storage containers EVERYTHING! The shower was great and super water pressure. Enough space for 6 of us w/ plenty of room for us to have meals. it was great to have an icemaker in the freezer! The balcony was comfy and plenty of seating there as well. The elevators were fast and trash drop very convenient. I would recommend Legacy Vacations and will definitely book thru them again. It was a wonderful vacation!

We loved staying in this condo. You can’t pass up a high floor, beach/ocean front view. The room was clean and overall the layout worked really well for our family! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The unit was very clean upon arrival. The view was great, and the unit is in a great location. We enjoyed the week we stayed at this unit and will consider staying again when we plan our next trip to FL.

This property is right on the beach. The master bedroom has a sliding door in it and you can wake up listening to the ocean. I really enjoyed my stay here. The condo was clean and well appointed and we were able to check in just a little before time.

We stayed 4 nights in early August in #SMP 507. There were only 3 of us but it would sleep 6 comfortably. The condo was nicely equipped with everything we needed and was very clean. We have stayed on Okaloosa Island several times and this was our favorite condo. We had one issue with the guest shower and it fixed immediately. The owners were actually the ones that came in and replaced the shower head. Very nice folks! The condo is in a great location. We will definitely stay there again.

I was very happy with my stay in this condo. It is just like it is described. I arrived very early and as I was pulling in I got a call from Ron and said the air conditioning had gone out. I explained I had just pulled in and had planned on going to the beach since check in was not until 3pm. He informed me that he is in the unit and had pulled all the drapes to keep it cool and would comp me our first night's stay since we would have no air conditioning. It was fixed as promised early the next day. The unit has great views of the beach, all the staff were great. I would definitely recommend this unit and would stay again.

Found this last minute to visit our son in AF over thanksgiving. For this price point 5 stars. Not everything is upgraded, but clean, great location, good space. Pros: location- you feel like you are right over the water, you can hear waves from condo with doors open. You are 2 min from grocery store, restaurants, etc. having a full bath for every bedroom is great. Heated pool. Would stay again

Everything was just as we wanted it to be!

Room was ok, mostly upgraded but things that bothered me were the door was messed up and hard to shut, toilet wobbles, and the back screen door to the patio was totally broken, and the rest of the resort needs to be upgraded.

This was a wonderful place on the beach. Great view and location. Very clean and had everything we need. We will be back!

We come back to Ft. Walton/Okaloosa Island every year after we moved away in '94. Our family usually stays in a condo further down Santa Rosa Blvd, and this was our first time so close to the beginning of it. I was a little worried, I'm actually FROM here and a self pronounced beach snob, so I chose condos further down to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist traps nearby, but as my whole family flew down for Mardi Gras with all their significant others, we needed someplace that could accommodate a 2 night stay and 7 person comfort. The pics dont do this place justice. It's perfect! Twin bunk small room as soon as you walk in, king size guest bdr across the hall guest bath, and a king size master with private bath AND private door to balcony which is bigger than more expensive condos weve stayed in the past! The kitchen faces the ocean, large counter, plenty of prep space and large living room. I'm a chef so I cooked every meal (theres a fresh seafood market across Brooks bridge and a Publix, do yourself a favor, save your money and buy your own fresh seafood, Publix for the rest if ingredients and make it in the condo. It's better food, and better experience than overspending at the Boardwalk) Cash's is directly across the street for wine and liquor and 2 or 3 establishments across the street for lunch. This allowed us to spend more time together in this beautiful condo, inspired by the view, run down when we wanted, out to the beach, the hot tub at night..it was all so amazing and I'd stay here again and again! My entire family thanks you!

lovely decorating ...very appropriate for Florida. Beds comfortable. we were 2 couples would have been nice to have 4 chairs for the table on the deck. (they have 2 hightops and a glider)....other than that perfect.
