The only two good thinks was the bed, very comfortble and the air conditioning

First of all it is not an hotel, no reception and only maintence staff whitout english knowledge. Location far from beach despite the declared closeness. Very basic room, no hot water semi clogged toilet. You could clearly hear what was said in the adjacent room. Light came trough the glass door which separets the rooms despite the small courtains.

Comfy beds, large space. Well equipped kitchen. Good AC. Shower.

Wifi was drake quality so on and off. Not really an outside to enjoy.

We spent one night at Hotel El Congo when a last-minute change in plans necessitated an overnight stay in Drake Bay. The hotel was within walking distance of the beach and was a great value. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, as well as its size. The room had a well-equipped kitchenette and would be a very comfortable place to stay for multiple nights. Drake Bay itself is beautiful and well-worth a visit. My husband went for a short walk early in the morning and saw a family of 8 monkeys- including 2 babies- pass very close by him right around the corner from the hotel.

The hotel is right on a "main" road (it is a very small area, so there is not much traffic, even on the main roads) and could be noisy. Someone drove by playing very loud music pretty late at night. Luckily, they moved on quickly.

Great location with outdoor kitchenette which my wife & I took full advantage of. Also our land lady Jarelyn took great care of all our needs! Some of the other units were still under construction but the workers took great care not to disturb the guests.

The location is great, it's close to the beach, about five minutes away. Supermarket and a laundry right across the street. A restaurant next door but several others just a couple of minutes away as well. The air conditioner is great. I had a large room but they had two units so wasn't an issue. Didn't need There's a fairly large fridge (for a hotel) to keep food or drinks in. No minibar to contend with, so all space available for your stuff. This in combination with the with the supermarket being so close makes the location perfect (for my needs.) The owner was very attentive and helpful. She really takes the customers opinions seriously. I saw a review here saying they wished there were paintings to make the room a bit more personal. And they had already fixed that. Which is partially why I'm not too critical of any minor things.

The WiFi was a bit slow, but it's to be expected when being this remote. I had no issues using Instagram or Facebook. YouTube was fine if set at lowest quality. I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the fridge. Nothing major at all but worth mentioning.
