The property was very clean with lots of privacy and access to town, ski resort, and access to activities to the North. Would definitely stay here again.

The home was great and exactly as described. The location was great and the views were amazing seeing the snow, river, and mountains out the back door. There were a lot of great winter activities in the area for our enjoyment. We would definitely go back!!

We had a great time, the home is in a beautiful location right near the river and was well equipped for our stay. The kids had a blast, and the hot tub was a big perk for them. Highly recommend :)

This property was everything we imagined it would be, it had plenty of room for six adults and six kids ( ages 10-16 ). The house is conveniently located between Durango and Purgatory Ski resort so it was easy for us to get to the lifts when they opened as well as make the grocery runs into town. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful house.

First let me start by saying the folks at Durango Colorado Vacations were top notch as always. We love working with them. We booked at the last minute and this was the only place available that would fit our crew at the time. Given that, it was a great get away with a great location. Unfortunately this home some upkeep issues or has been quite abuse by other guests. examples being broken doors/door hardware, broken windows/window frames and/or latches (letting cold air in), broken fireplaces. I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere for a place at this price. The WILLOWBROOK ESTATE, of instance, was in much better shape.

We had the best time on this property. The kids loved the basement area and the yard was like heaven for running and playing. The adults had plenty of space and the kitchen was perfect for the big meals we prepared each night. We were a family of 6 adults and 6 children and everyone had plenty to do and plenty of room to do it in. We are already talking about coming back!

You will be amazed right when you walk in through the doors; the pictures online do not do it justice!! We stayed 7 nights, 2 families (4 adults, 6 kids, ages 8-13). Here's what we loved: 1. The Kitchen - WOWZA! So spread out with plenty of kitchenware, etc. Super perk: 2 ovens and 2 wine refrigerators!! I love to cook, so we cooked every night while we were here. 2. Bedrooms - plentiful and spacious. Loved the layout of each room. 3. Downstairs playrooms - yes, playrooms (plural)!! There are 2 rooms in the "basement" area that our kids pretty much hung out in the entire time we were there. They played video games down here. Tried to play the ping pong table, but it was messed up and wasn't straight, so we didn't use it much. The adults also went down here because for some reason, it was much cooler down here than anywhere in the house. 4. Back patio with hot tub and walkway to river and fire pit - The back patio was superb, we spent every night out here for hours! Either sitting around the fire pit, wading in the icy cold river, or staring up at the stars AND shooting stars! Such an amazingly beautiful sight! The hot tub was very nice too; although we couldn't get the temperature to lower once heated up or the light in it to work, but didn't stop us from using it! Our only complaints: 1. Internet was REALLY slow, maybe consider installing mesh routers? It was hard to look up places to explore or recipes when cooking. The only area that got somewhat of good reception was in the master beroom balcony patio. 2. No A/C, which is not common in Colorado anyway. We went when Colorado experienced some of its hottest weather in a while. Being outside was much cooler than being inside, even with the abundant amount of fans running. Hotter weather also brought on the gnats, SO MANY GNATS! Overall, we would definitely go back! Thank you!

“Oh my goodness’” is what every member of my family said as we walked into this magnificent property! Such a beautiful location with our own private river in the back yard! Our excitement reached a new level as we opened a new door! And that kitchen!!! Wow! We cannot wait to get back to Durango, Colorado, and to use this property again!

Lack of cellular service made communication between guests difficult. A second or bigger coffee pot would be nice. It lacked advertised alarm clocks and some did not function properly. Impossible to read in bed at night in master bedroom. These are minor complaints on an otherwise fantastic property

Beautiful tranquil location close to major attractions

The house was perfect for us and the river out back was wonderful. This was our second year to stay in Durango and there was so much to do that we stayed busy every day.

Our family had a great time at this property! We especially enjoyed being by the river and used the fire pit nightly. The house was comfortable for the 10 of us and would have accommodated more people. Lori was very helpful and quickly available. We would rent this property again.

This property is amazing! This house was nice and spacious. We had 12 in our group and there is more than enough space in this house. The wood floors are beautiful, and the beds all comfortable. We only had one small issue while there and the management company responded very quickly. They are very nice people. We spent a lot of time outdoors at this property. The rivers were full and the lawn beautifully manicured. The kids loved the basketball court and game room downstairs. I would definitely stay here again!

Grounds and location were outstanding. House is in need of repairs and updating as well as a good cleaning. Home was spacious and well equipped but was uncomfortably warm due to lack of air-conditioning and fans.

Our family loved gathering in this beautiful home for two weeks! We sure are missing the sounds of the Animas River, especially at night. Full moon over the eastern Hermosa mountains and cliffs was spectacular as we sat around the fire pit next to the river. The home is very spacious and everyone had plenty of private space. My husband and I are also missing the 'killer' master bathroom suite! The kitchen is very well-stocked (only wish the vent hood insert was operational, as the first couple of days were a little warm in southern Colorado). But we survived and did some great baking on the wonderful outside grill. The beds and linens were wonderful; we slept like rocks! Loved the outdoor space -- massive beautiful lawn for all sorts of games. We brought yard darts and croquet, but there were several outdoor games provided in the spacious garage. The enormous 'cool' basement is awesome and was a haven on the first warm day or two. The location is very convenient to Durango and Purgatory activities...golf, shopping, hiking, and our personal favorite: jeep rides in the beautiful San Juan Mountains! A very big THANKS to Jen from Durango Colorado Vacations...she was extraordinarily quick with responding to our questions and kindly provided a couple of items that we requested. We will definitely keep this home at the top of the list for another trip to the Rockies.

Our whole family loved the house and the river behind. Lorie was great to work with! So many activities in the area too.

The house was spacious and worked well for our family. The location was great. However, the house needs some repairs and needs to be much cleaner. The property management needs to do a better job for this house.

Thank you for accommodating us. We were a group of 12 and even with that had plenty of room for fun. This is our second time staying at this place and it never fails to impress us in every way!!

It was a great property for our large family. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out! Sitting next to the Anamias River is amazing especially in the cool morning with your coffee. We loved sitting in the hot tub in the cool evenings. Even with no AC the house was plenty cool in August. The house was close enough to downtown Durango and had everything we needed. I my suggestion would be to have a basketball that holds air. The kids played every night and had to air it up everyday. We had a few issues and they came out and fixed it immedialty. Great property we will be back.

We enjoyed this home and it was perfect for two families of 5 and grandparents! It was peaceful and beautiful and the kids loved playing outside near and in the river and on the lawn. There was plenty of room and wonderful amenities and we can't wait to stay there again!

The Animas River flows in the front yard and the backyard of this incredibly located home! Upon walking in this house we knew immediately that we would be comfortable here and we would enjoy ourselves. And we did! The owners have taken great care in providing a well-stocked kitchen, beautiful stainless steel appliances, several dining areas, a large BBQ in the back, and surround sound, too! After assessing the kitchen and living area we were lured out the back door to follow the path to the river where there is a fire pit encircled with Adirondack chairs. During our stay, we enjoyed this stunning river vignette nightly, while either smoking cigars (from a great smoke shop in town), cooking s’more, or sipping wine. We played several games of “horse “on the full basketball court, we savored picnics on the grass under some of the many shade trees, we “Jacuzzied” as we gazed at the constellation, and barbequed grass fed meat and accompanied with organic garden greens, and yummy cheeses from the nearby James Ranch…. The proprietors have furnished this spacious house with all of the creature comforts including a large and cozy master bedroom with a balcony and many windows….that we left open at night to be lulled to sleep by the river. It was just the 2 of us for a romantic get a way, we were sad to leave, and will forever cherish the memories we created here. We promised ourselves we would return soon to enjoy a bicycle ride on one of the many bikes, use the fishing poles to cast a line, and explore more of the fun of Downtown Durango! Our next visit, we will bring our family and friends to revel in this retreat! We highly recommend this for anyone who appreciates the great outdoors with the addition of the many comforts of home!

Great place in a perfect location. Can only hear the burble of the river....... A very nice facility, well equipped, easy to use and live in. Some good games and recreation equipment, Go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've stayed in this house in the summer with two other families, six adults and seven kids (ages 12 to 16). All the kids and the adults were constantly busy with different kinds of activities such as: Cycling, fishing, site-seeing, river rafting, hiking, playing basketball (in the backyard of the house), tubing in the river behind or in front of the house, playing tennis (courts at the high school). The house is in a great location since it's half way between the city (downtown area, 15 minutes drive south) and the ski resort (15 minutes drive north). The ski area is open in the summer as well for a whole lot of other summer activities. Some of the night activities other than eating out at great restaurants were to play ping pong or sit around the fire-pit and roast marshmallows, which we all enjoyed very much. Overall, great house, great location and great memories :)

Our family loved staying at this home. The setting was so peaceful and beautiful. Between the river, full basketball court, and gorgeous location, our family was sad to leave The home was large in size, very clean and well appointed. Can't wait to come back with our family in winter as well. A definite 5 star.
