We had such a fantastic time in Paia and the cottage was perfect for our family of 3! Very close to stores, restaurants, and tasty coffee shops. And not much further to walk to the beach! Highly recommend staying here for an "at home" feel but still enjoy everything Maui has to offer. Great location and the host was very kind and helpful.

Our family of four loved our stay in Paia. The cottage was great and had everything we needed. It was just a short walk to downtown with lots of cute shops and restaurants. It was also a great starting spot for the Road to Hana and the Haleakala summit. Definitely recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this Vrbo very much. The check in/check out was easy. The detached unit felt private and roomy. It was very clean. The place was as advertised. No surprises. Easy walk to Paia with its restaurants and shopping. Close to beaches and to airport. Good overall location on Maui.

The cottage was very well kept and made us feel like we were right at home. The location is great and within walking distance of lots of restaurants and beaches. If we return to Maui this will be the first place we look to stay. We highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Maui.

The online photos were misleading. In actuality, you walk into a unit with concrete floors and what appears to be not great thrift shop furnishings. (The pictures show some different furniture and a rug). I felt every day like I was walking into a garage that someone turned into a cottage. If the photos were more accurate, I would have booked elsewhere. On the plus side, it was super close to everything the town had to offer.

Clean, airy, well-appointed cottage on the edge of downtown Paia. Within walking distance of a great grocery store and numerous good restaurants. Paia has a funky hip surfer vibe. Conveniently located to access all parts of the island.

Location is walking distance from the restaurants and shops in town. The cottage is conveniently located off of the main road. Nice to hear crickets at night, rained almost every evening. Wake up to the sounds of mourning doves cooing and roosters crowing each morning.
Enjoyed the country feel while on vacay.

Two 80ish lady friends felt very secure at this location & enjoyed the convenient walk to shops & restaurants. Cottage was clean, furnished simply with everything we needed. Host was charming

My partner and I loved everything about this unit. The space was perfect in these ways: the size; the location in relation to the town of Paia and the beach, close to the airport; the quiet; the privacy; the comfortable outdoor area; the full kitchen that is well equipped; communication with the wonderful host; attention to detail; the spacious windows that provided air and light. We highly recommend booking any of the units this host is offering. Mahalo!

Jacque hosted us in her cute little cottage. There were two couples in our party and the space was a good size for us. The space was spotless when we arrived and we were able to get in a bit earlier than the usual check in time, which was helpful due to our arrival time to the island.
We got to the island in the midst of about a week of rain storms, which resulted in some water issues. But Jacque and Danny were very responsive to the issue and it was resolved quickly.
Jacque also gave some good recommendations for farmers market and places to eat.
There are only two small things that were missing and needed. Not enough coffee mugs or wine glasses for the four of us. But other than that the kitchen was well equipped.
We would not hesitate to rent again from Jacque. She was a terrific host!

We rented the cottage for a longer working visit to Maui, but unfortunately had to find a different place when we discovered the internet wasn't fast enough for us to work from the cottage (we'd emailed with the owner before booking, but there was some confusion about what the internet service offered in the area vs. what they actually have in the the cottage, which is basic DSL). However, the owner was very understanding and let us leave as soon as we were able to find alternative last-minute lodgings that met our needs.
It's a cute little cottage -- very basic, nothing fancy, but thoughtfully provisioned, with little touches like a bucket of rag towels for messes and tablecloths for the indoor and outdoor tables. I personally really dislike 100% polyester sheets, which the beds both had, but I understand some people don't mind. It wouldn't be a great place for two couples that want privacy at night, as you want to keep your doors open at night to get the AC into your room. That said, it's nice and quiet at night for good sleeping.
Overall I'd definitely recommend the cottage as a great spot to stay in Paia, where there aren't many places to actually stay in town. Being able to walk into town easily to enjoy the shops and restaurants and music is lovely.

All in all I give a 3 soley based on the ac situation. I recommend adding units to the bedrooms for a more comfortable stay and changing out the ceiling fans. They have some maintenance issues. Otherwise my dad and I enjoyed the stay. We made it work for the short time we were there for our family reunion.

My friend and I decided to stay at this place so we could walk to Pa'ia and experience a cottage in a neighborhood to avoid the "resort thing" and we so pleasantly surprised by how great this was. Jacque, her husband and daughter were all great and helpful with any requests we had. The cottage was cute, clean and had everything we needed. We requested to have A/C's put in the windows which was a great call to help with the humidity though the trade winds kept it nice and cool as well. We could walk to town in a few minutes and drive to Baldwin and baby beach in 5 minutes which was amazing. The property was clean and quiet which we appreciated. I would definitely recommend this property :)

Awesome stay for the price. We stayed here for three nights, right off the plane. Took advantage of the time change, and started early for road to Hana, and Waihee Ridge trail. House is very conveniently located. We enjoyed the ability to walk to local shops and restaurants. We loved Paia Bay Coffee and Bar for both coffee and drinks at night as well as Paia Fish Market for dinner. It was nice to have a place to wash our sweaty clothes from hiking before heading to Lahaina for the next leg of our trip. We were concerned about the AC situation upon on arrival— it seemed really hot, but cooled down fine before bed. We would stay again!

April 2022 stay In Pa’ia
We had a good stay here for four nights with our college student son. The cottage has everything you need and is very clean. The location is perfect - especially if your plans are more mountain focused and less beach focused. The town of Pa’ia is a short walk and has many good restaurants. The house is set back from the road behind a fence with a nice shady yard and porch. Great place for a stay away from the tourist madness and still enjoy Maui.

We loved our stay in Paia
This rental was great for us. We were there in the rain and it was great. We struggled the first day to get the ac to cool the bedrooms. The ac does a great job in the living area but the air does not reach the bedrooms and we used the provided fans to help with that. The rains brought cool air for the remaining days and it was lovely. The home is in a cute area that is shared with another rental. We would definitely come back and stay with this property owner as she had great communication and her home was lovely and just what we needed.

Sweet Time in Paia
We truly love the location of this property! We come to the island often (it was once our home) to visit friends and family, and soak up the beautiful landscape of Maui. The property owners and caretakers were full of kindness and aloha! The location is simply perfect. Beautiful stroll to town, as well as to the Paia beaches! We can't wait to come stay again!!!!!

Great home away from home in Paia
Jacque was a wonderful host. Great local tips, very responsive, and even provided us with a yoga mat. Location is a short walk to restaurants and shopping. Short drive to Baby Beach for swimming. Central for Haleakala and shopping in Kahului.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom. Comfortable but will soon need some updating. Air conditioning is in the living space so it can take a while to cool down the bedrooms. Cottage is well equipped but basic. Loved the covered patio and the lovely yard. It is located in a neighborhood so not always quiet during the day but very quiet at night. Definitely recommended!

When we travel we enjoy living like a local. This property was perfect. Very clean, as advertised, well stocked. It was perfect for my three year old because he could play in the yard. The sand toys and beach equipment were an added bonus! Would recommend!

Well equipped home in a great location. Cooler, towels, beach chairs and boogie boards supplied. Walk to yoga, coffee and great restaurants. Friendly & responsive owners. One minor suggestion: new pillows! They were either flat as a pancake or lumpy.

Stayed four nights in Paia while visiting our daughter. We were within walking distance of the small town center so the place was very convenient. All the amenities of your own home. Very happy!

Perfect Paia Vacation Home
My Sister and I stayed six nights and loved our time here. House is located on edge of Paia but within easy walking distance of restaurants, groceries, shopping and the beach. The house is inside a gated area so very quite and safe. Has a lovely little garden. It was very clean and had all the necessities for cooking and relaxing. Paia is on the quieter side of the Island and centrally located. Host had excellent communication and the check in was seamless. Would definitely stay again. Recommend Paia Fish Market for eating and Fresh Fish Maui for fresh catch delivery.

Gorgeous little cottage style accommodation in Paia; walking distance to the main Paia area. Accommodation felt very safe and secure. Space was very clean and well supplied. Did wish there were additional beach supplies — such as chairs and boogie boards — available.

Great location!
This property is cute, clean, and in a great location! The tiny downtown of Paia is a very short walk, which is awesome since finding a parking spot can be a huge challenge. This is a great starting point if you plan to drive to Hana. Would love to book again on our next trip!

Great Spot
This was a great place to stay- comfortable and close to everything in Paia! We were able to walk to places to eat and easily jump onto the Road to Hana, head out to Halekala, and access multiple beaches across Maui.
