Momda Resort is one of the better hotels in the northern end of Ranong within walking distance of its Saturday night "walking street" and its cluster of restaurants. There are also some very good restaurants not too far down the street. It's new, cleaner and more modern than those on the main drag, with spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good AC and fine water pressure. Staff are friendly and helpful. And the Wifi is among the best I've had in Thailand.

While Momda is near walking street, it's still a bit of a walk to where most restaurants are. Otherwise, there isn't too much in the immediate vicinity and it can feel a bit remote. The hotel lacks much in the way of decor or character and can seem a bit stark. Some of the fixtures need repairs, the AC thermostat seemed a bit off, the faucet was loose—all things that can be easily remedied with regular maintenance.

Basic & clean hotel, presumably suited for travellers. Its fairly new so the rooms are clean, spacious, and bed was comfy. Plenty of parking out front, but no covered parking available. Aircon was good, and shower was hot & strong. Breakfast, at first seems very basic, but don't be shy, and if you ask the staff, they will cook you fresh eggs - I guess without good english, they are reticent to ask if you need any more than what's on display. There are still a few building materials, and unfinished areas in the hotel, which would only take a day to clean so dont know why this hasn't been done. The reception staff seemed a little unattentive, just handed me the key and that was it.
