We had a wonderful stay at The Barn for a week in August. We loved being a five minute drive to downtown Wolfeboro, and the action of Lake Winnipesaukee, but on quiet and peaceful Rust Pond. The house was perfect for our group - plenty of space for all three generations, and a fully stocked kitchen so we could cook at home most nights. We took full advantage of the private dock, the floats and the kayak. Recommend bringing a small net if you have young children, they will spend hours chasing after the bait fish near the dock! Thanks to Christopher for being very communicative and for sharing your home with us.

The Barn was a perfect place to stay. The place was even more than the description. Plenty of room, an amazing Coca Cola machine, lots of games, and water was great! Many days we were the only ones out in the water. Highly recommend the place.

Beautiful, peaceful property with water view and access on Rust Pond. This area is truly a hidden gem. It is close to Wolfeboro restaurants and all the big lake activities but you can escape back to relax. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and we rented paddle boards from SUPNH for the week. They delivered and picked them up. We also spent the day at Brewster Beach which was clean and a great spot. We enjoyed the trails at Castle in the Clouds as well as a tour of the property. The Millie B boat ride was a highlight. Christopher was easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions or needs we had. We sure hope to return back to The Barn in the future!

Great get away

The property is great as is the owner. We had a beautiful weather week, but unfortunately the only single lane road through the neighborhood to the house was being entirely excavated all week. We were unaware of this as was Chris the owner since it was supposed to have been completed 10 days earlier. Several very friendly neighbors confirmed that and warned us to move our cars out at 6AM each day because the rude contractors don’t warn you and block you in for 8 hours otherwise. Chris was very upset about this and to his credit rebated part of the cost of my week back. The house is very well appointed and supplied with paper products and cleaning products and most necessities. So you just bring the items you need ,sheets ,food and clothing. Another unfortunate occurrence was the failure of the air conditioner fan halfway through the week which of course again is out of Chris’s control. The weather was beautiful so we really didn’t need it but to Chris’s credit he had an Air conditioning repairman come out immediately and repair it. If I had to complain about anything at all with the property I would say the beds are very squeaky in all rooms and it appears to come from the box springs. The paddles for the canoe we’re not the greatest. It is a rowing type canoe that allows you r the option put oarlock type paddles in and row or paddle,but there was only one of that type. The other paddle was an aluminum kid size adjustable one that was broken but barely usable. I didn’t bother today complain to Kris about this but if I had I believe he would’ve probably rectified that also. There’s bubble hockey and a wooden shuffleboard table in the loft … If I really want to nitpick, the shuffleboard table finish is rough and worn in center and could stand some refinishing to truly enjoy it, but I consider that a bonus item that wou stop me from renting again. I recommend this beautiful home and this great landlord who communicated with me immediately answering every question right from the moment when I first looked at the house online all the way through to the end of my trip! Beautiful place and a great clean lake.

We enjoyed our stay so much in 2021 that we decided to repeat the trip again in 2022. Christopher is always available for questions and makes you feel like you are at home at The Barn. If you are looking to make memories that last a lifetime, you will want to book this property immediately!

This was a perfect family getaway! The Barn is beautiful, clean, well-maintained and was everything we hoped it would be. The stone fireplace was the main draw and it did not disappoint. Excellent job by the owner Christopher in maintaining the home and providing clear instructions. We loved our stay and would absolutely visit again!

We enjoyed our stay on Rust pond at this beautiful home. The views from the house were stunning and the house had lots of space for our two families to play and relax. We spent hours just sitting by big wood fireplace and enjoying cooking in the kitchen. A quick 5 minute drive from downtown Wolfeboro and an hour drive to North Conway. We spent our Thanksgiving of 2021 at the beautiful “The Barn” property in Wolfeboro. The pictures on VRBO website can not capture how wonderful this rental is…..better than advertised!! Warm & comfortable, perfectly appointed, we felt like we were in a Norman Rockwell painting. Christopher was a perfect host, quick to respond & accomodate our requests. We can’t wait to return!

Everything was great and as advertised, highly recommend it. Just be aware, the beds don’t come made and with sheets which for those that are traveling from far it may not be ideal. Host was amazing and responsive and location can’t be beat.

Home was beautiful and the lake peaceful. Enjoyed our long fall weekend getaway. Beds were comfortable but very noisy when moving around or getting out. I missed the info on bringing your own bedding, not a fan of that feature. Overall a great vacay.

My husband and I recently stayed at 'The Barn' in Wolfeboro and had a great time! This was the second time we had stayed there, the first time was in 2017. The Barn is a beautiful property, it's very spacious, clean and modern. It has beautiful views of Rust Pond and there is a dock there that you can sit on. We had no problem checking in and it was easy communicating with the owner leading up to our stay. The Barn is a short drive to downtown where there are shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend staying at The Barn in Wolfeboro and we hope to stay here again for the third time!

The Barn on Rust Pond was a fantastic getaway for my husband and I. The house was meticulously clean, the property in a fantastic location, and the homeowner super easy to communicate with. There is an energy about this property that truly put my soul at ease - I felt relaxed and at home. From watching the sun rise over Rust Pond, to happy hour on the dock hearing the call of the loons, every moment was beautiful. I honestly feel lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here and will absolutely be going back in the future!

The Barn was the perfect spot for our relaxing lake getaway! The property is well cared for and the owner was prompt in all communications to make sure we had a great time. Kayaking, canoeing, fishing, inflatables, indoor gaming, campfires at night...our family of four enjoyed all The Barn had to offer! Location is excellent - plenty of shade for hot summer days (including on the dock during late afternoons), and a quick drive to Wolfeboro for restaurants and attractions. Highly recommended.

We just returned from an incredible week at the Barn. Our entire group loved the house, which was so comfortable and well appointed. Rust Pond is a beautiful, spring fed pond with crystal clear water and very few boats or other people on it. Many days it felt like we had the whole pond to ourselves. We loved kayaking, canoeing, fishing and watching for the pond’s resident loons. The location is ideal because the home is secluded and peaceful, but you have grocery stores, restaurants and shops just a few minutes away in the charming town of Wolfeboro. We really enjoyed having fire pits at night and appreciated the cover for the outdoor wood rack so we could keep our wood bundles dry. For rainy days, we highly recommend a table hockey, shuffleboard and blackjack tournament! We had so much fun! I highly recommend this beautiful home - we have wonderful memories from our trip and hope to make it back in the future!

We had a wonderful two weeks. The lake is beautiful, clear (we learned it is spring-fed), quiet, with a lovely private dock. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, facing the lake, reading and eating, chatting with very friendly neighbors. The house is really cool, interesting architecture, with high ceilings and views of the lake from many places, really nice, open kitchen and living area to hang out in, well maintained, modern amenities like central air, Viking appliances and wine and beer fridge. Paper products, bath soap and laundry needs are all very well stocked. Close drive to charming Wolfeboro. The owner is very responsive and friendly. One thing to note, however, is that the open lay out of the house means noise travels easily, and so it's best if your group is on the same schedule.

From the unique interior design to the remoteness and tranquility of the area, it is hard to find a better Wolfeboro, NH vacation experience. The owners were always responsive to questions and you can tell they take pride in the property with the carefully placed decorations truly making "The Barn" a special experience. Everything we needed was included on the property and we made great memories with our young family, including catching a 17" large mouth bass from the rugged canoe. Search no further for your next lake house vacation; if available, you must book this property. We will be back!

We had a great time at this house. It’s a really cool place with vintage decorations and entertainment (my kids loved the hockey table). The location was great, it’s right on a small lake and just a few minutes into Wolfboro where there were many restaurants where we got take out. Christopher was a responsive host and quickly helped out with our questions about getting out onto the lake.

We loved our time at the barn and were really impressed by the house. We were there in early March and were able to ice skate with the kids on Rust Pond. It was a really memorable experience and we would definitely return.

This property is very well depicted in the VRBO - pictures and writeup. Centrally located to the town of Wolfboro and highway this property is great for being away but not too far away from civilization. The view of Rust Pond was beautiful! My family had a great time - hope to come again! The owners were great to work with for any questions, etc.

During this pandemic Christmas, couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the holiday. The space is beautifully renovated, a truly unique property. Would very much look forward to returning with friends and family in the future (and in the summertime).

The downside was that upon our arrival we spent several hours the first day (Saturday) and the following day dealing with the smoke detectors going off constantly and into the night where we were not able to sleep. When I contacted Christopher, he mentioned that the previous guests had the same issue. Finally, someone came on Monday to fix it. Definitely a disruption that could have been avoided being that the previous guests had already complained about the same issue.

Our stay at the Twomeys’ beautiful home was most relaxing, with the gorgeous sunrises over Rust Pond and several cozy evenings spent by the fireplace. The kitchen is amazing, as is the overall architecture of the home. It was obvious that a lot of care went into choosing the decor. The owner was very responsive whenever we had questions, which we appreciated. We would love to stay here again, and we have recommended this rental to all of our friends.

We loved our week at The Barn. The location can't be beat. It was wonderful to be right on Rust Pond (which despite the name is really a lake) and to seemingly have it to ourselves on many days and convenient to be so close to town. The house's design is interesting and the kitchen is terrific, but sound does carry through the open architecture so make sure your group all keeps the same hours.

Everything about our stay at the Barn was perfect and the owners could not have been more gracious and helpful. The house is beautiful and has everything needed to make your vacation flawless. The house is just a few feet away from the calm and very clean pond which provided endless hours of fun fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming for the kids and adults alike. We all had such a fabulous time.
