Peace of Maine cottage should be called piece of heaven! Everything about this place was wonderful! It was spotlessly clean with every amenity you could possibly need. My husband and I spent a week here traveling from Michigan and used this as our homebase while traveling up and down the coast of Maine. Contact with the owners was seamless. Watched the sunset every evening from the comfort of the spacious deck. The only downside….having to leave!

Property was very impressive. The owners are meticulous about ensuring that all of the kitchen items and items are identified and it is incredibly well organized. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the harbor are exceptional. I can't say enough positives about our stay and we really enjoyed our vacation.

The house was amazing - very clean, had everything you could possibly need, including really well stocked kitchen. The view was even better than the pictures. And the location is great - very quiet, not too far from Damariscotta but lots of great things to do even closer.

My wife and I have stayed at many vacation rental properties in recent years. Peace of Maine is by far the best that we have ever rented. The house is tastefully decorated and the landscaping is phenomenal. Flowers and ornamentals surround the entire property. The property is equipped with every possible amenity that one could ever need or want. The house and grounds are immaculate. The views of the boat filled harbor from the kitchen, dining and living rooms are gorgeous. The hosts, Alan and Gosia are gracious and accommodating. We would recommend the property to anyone and hope that we will have the pleasure of staying at the Peace of Maine again soon!

The house was comfortable, well decorated and spotless. Everything you could possibly need was supplied. The view of the harbor was so relaxing and gorgeous with multiple seating areas to watch the the movement of the tides. Very quiet and peaceful setting, just what we needed!

We loved the house, lots of glass, which let the outdoors in, interesting views no matter what the weather. And inside the house, everything one could imagine that anyone might need. In beautiful condition, and very cheerful. Outdoors, gardens planted with perennials and annuals for summer color. The owners were very helpful when we contacted them.

We enjoyed our week in this cheerful, tastefully decorated cottage. The view of the river was lovely and the gardens and potted plants added to the beauty of the property. The location was ideal for the sightseeing we planned to do. The kitchen was well equipped and using the fiesta ware a special treat for the meals we ate “at home”. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed at Peace of Maine cottage. A great vacation retreat.

A wonderful cottage that is more like visiting a friend's home than a vacation rental. Just like the pictures. Everything is beautifully organized and maintained, the kitchen has anything you could want, and, if you are visiting off-season, the heater in the large common room is fast and effective at dealing with any morning chill. Great location for day trips or quiet times watching the birds and boats from the beautiful front deck. Can't wait to come back!

What a beautiful home in an exquisite location. Alan and Gosia really thought of everything we could need during our stay. We worked half days and had a blast exploring the area once we finished work each day. We loved the lighthouse, kayaking with Maine Kayak, visiting the trolls at the Central Maine Botanical Gardens, hiking the area trails, going sailing with Sail Muscongus, visiting a real alpaca farm at Cape Newagen Alpaca Farm, and spending time in all the nearby downtown areas. Of course, plenty of lobster was consumed during the week as well. Thanks for the gift card to the Cupboard Cafe. We went twice and loved it there. Their cinnamon rolls were the best we ever had! We hope to visit again. Thank you.

my wife and I have been rented through VRBO for ten years and we have never seen a house so well stocked with everything you would need from Kitchen stuff to bathroom and bedroom linens. We had a issue with the propane tank on the grill, I called Alan he told me the place to go to get a new tank ( 1 mile away) and he sent me the money for it with in 2 hours. We did day trips tp places and it so nice to just come and have a cocktail on the porch looking at the water. The view of the water and all the boats from the porch is excellent. Alan has sent me all sorts of places to go including phone #'s and e-mail address so we could book our day time cruises ahead of time which was a big help. would definitely go back if given the chance.

My family and I have vacationed in midcoast Maine for nearly 40 years. Peace of Maine was one of our very best stays. The cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a beautifully organized and well equipped kitchen. The hosts were very welcoming. We were greeted with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a gift certificate to a local cafe. We hope to return again next year!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. It is beautifully decorated and so clean, we immediately felt at home. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the changing tides. We were sad to leave and are already talking about returning to this cottage next summer.

Peace of Maine is a the perfect spot for a Maine getaway. The property is immaculate and the location is perfect. The beach is around the corner and there a handful of wonderful restaurants very close by. Our family enjoyed every minute of our week long vacation exploring the area, hunting for hermit crabs at the beach, enjoying fresh lobster rolls and kayaking in the harbor. We had an enjoyable stay in this beautiful cottage of the Pemaquid peninsula. The cottage is nicely decorated, the garden is very welcoming and the view spectacular. It was very easy to feel home and it was hard to leave.

Loved everything about this property! It was clean, beautiful and exactly as shown on the listing. It's nice and private with a great hammock for relaxing with your favorite book. Communication with Alan and Gosia was outstanding. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay. It's also very close to Pemaquid lighthouse which is always fun to see. Next time we are in town we will definitely stay here again! Thanks so much for everything Alan and Gosia!!

This property did not disappoint. Everything from beautiful views to well appointed cottage. This was our first trip to this area. We were delighted to be centrally located to everything we wanted to experience. We will return!

A Peace of Maine was simply awesome! It was by far the best equipped house that I have ever rented since I have used online vacation rentals (12+ years). The furnishings we're lovely, including the art. The whole wall of windows looking out over the tidal river was very nice...beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The downstairs bedroom was great for my husband's parents. (The stairs are a bit steep.) All the beds had hotel quality linens; very comfortable! The bathrooms had plenty of towels,toilet paper and soap. The TV room was ok. Tried to use a chrome cast to watch baseball playoff games without success. Then tried to mirror from a tablet but had significant difficulty keeping internet connected to my devices in the TV room; did ok in all other areas of the house. (We eventually just used tablet in the main living area to watch /listen to the games.) The Xbox apparently has a hard wired connection to internet, but I know very little about Xbox so I was hopelessly fumbling around without success. The deck and landscaping was beautiful. The house does not have AC; had plenty of screens on windows. It got quite cool several days while we were there and we had to turn on the heater in the living/dining area. I was surprised to find that it warmed the whole house. The location of the house was perfect for us. We took daily trips up and down the coast exploring lots of lobster harbors ,villages, and lighthouses. The Cupboard Cafe (very close to the house) was very nice. Shaw's in New Harbor good place for dinner. We bought lobsters at wharf next door to Shaw's and from South Bristol wharf to cook at home most nights. The one suggestion that I would make is to have a few ottomans in the living area to be able to be able to elevate legs when sitting. Overall, it was a great week. I definitely will keep this house on my radar for our next visit to Maine. Thanks for providing such a nice place for rent!

We had the BEST time at Peace of Maine. Not only was the cottage exactly as depicted, it was generously stocked with whatever we could possibly need for incidentals. The cottage is attractively decorated, yet very comfortable, and the views from the living room and master bedroom never ceased to be captivating. These owners thought of everything for our comfort, from several ways to make your favorite coffee to late down to body lotion in each bathroom. The owners are truly accommodating and quick to respond if the need arises. I never needed to contact them during our stay as we wanted for nothing. I would return again in a heartbeat. The cottage is conveniently located near several restaurants. Our hosts even left us a gift certificate to one of them (thank you so much) for a fabulous breakfast which we enjoyed immensely. It was a fantastic place to stay.

This was the first word I uttered as I stepped into this delightful cottage. The water views from the "wall of windows" were breathtaking and exactly as pictured in the photos. The interior was light-filled and calming with a yellow and blue decorating theme. Colorful pottery on kitchen shelves and Maine pictures hung on the wall were tastefully placed. The location is perfect for side trips to Boothbay Harbor, Camden, Wiscassett, etc. Recommended side trips: * Maine Coastal Gardens!! , kayak trip with Maine Kayaks, Reed State Park, Popham Beach, Pemaquid Lighthouse, Cupboard Cafe (delicious pecan rolls!). There was one unexpected pleasant surprise with this rental...abundant supplies not normally provided in most rentals like extra soap, paper towels, spice, lotions, cleaners, bath towels, etc. Also, the outside landscaping was filled with lovely flowers on the spacious deck and surrounding the rental... a perfect place to unwind and relax.

The cottage was just as presented. Beautifully decorated, fully equipped and spacious. We enjoyed our stay and found it central to Boothbay, Camden and all points in between. Monhegan is a must for us and our day trip had perfect weather. Can’t guarantee it but our trip was delightful. Don’t miss the Cupboard Cafe is a must for breakfast. The freshly made sweet rolls are to die for as well as sticky buns. Our visit was exceptional and hope yours will be as well !

Peace of Maine Cottage is more than your typical cottage. It is a beautiful home. The cottage was immaculate with everything you need for your stay. The pictures in the review represent this cottage to a T. The area and the views were spectacular.

The photos capture this property perfectly! The view is outstanding, the house beautifully decorated and stocked and so comfortable. The public dock for fishing is a short drive or walk down the road, as is the beach, the Fort and several restaurants. Having spent the last 17 summers vacationing in New Harbor, this house was a real find.

This is our third year back and we just love it.

The house is walking distance to colonial Pemaquid as well as The Cupboard Cafe and Maine Kayak, but feels nestled in the woods with a gorgeous view of the harbor. There are very short drives to the Lighthouse, Pemaquid Seafood (great lobster at great prices) and dozens of amazing hiking trails along the coast. You'll experience the great Maine vibe with none of the tourist clamor. I've stayed in many VRBO homes and this is a rare, amazing find. It's also the most well equiped VRBO home, they have everything you might need. If available, snap this one up before it's booked!

“Peace of Maine” is lovely. The house is well furnished for visitors, and the water view is beautiful. We really like the area. It’s private but easily accessible to several good restaurants and interesting shops. We highly recommend the house on Pemaquid Harbor.

We come back to this area every fall from Arizona. It is a great escape from our "Warm" summers. Your place was just great. It was very clean & comfortable. We hope to get back there again next fall. Jim & Cheryl

We are three couples in our sixties and have done an annual trip to Maine for about five years in a row. We always like to stay at different places so we can get a real feel of the coastal Maine. This cottage was perfect for us. Great location, view and the cottage (really a home) was wonderful. A wonderful central location to so many different restaurants and attractions. Beautiful bedrooms (we love the ceiling fans), two nice full baths and a kitchen that looks out over the water with everything you would need. Definitely one of the best places that we have stayed at.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely home right on the water. The view is very pretty and the long piers add an interesting element to the scenery which the birds also seem to like. We enjoyed watching the sea birds each day from the deck and saw herons, kingfishers, osprey, cormorants and seagulls. The hammock down by the water was a big hit and provided a very relaxing spot to read. The neighbors were very nice. The woman, I forgot her name, who watered the plants was very friendly and took good care of the flowers. Being a plant lover I particularly enjoyed the many different planters of colorful flowers which adorned the property. How did you get those begonias by the front door to grow so large and beautiful? We found the bedrooms and beds comfortable. One of the sleep number beds control units didn't have a working display which made it a little tricky to adjust for those of us unfamiliar with this type of bed. It was a minor nuisance that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of our vacation. The kitchen is bright and cheerful and is very well equipped. We enjoyed having different choices about where to eat our meals -indoors or outdoors. It was nice that there were two outdoor tables so that you could vary your view and move depending on the position of the sun. The house is nicely decorated with pictures and pottery. We found at the nearby craft co-op a little pottery pig similar to the one at the house which we scooped up to bring home as a reminder of our stay. We are already looking forward to returning again to this little peace of Maine!
