Older home that is both charming and spotless. The views are amazing with many great little hiking spots, beach access, and restaurants all within walking distance. We loved it.

It's all about the view! This house is very well-oriented and the view unimpeded overlooking the harbor. It's just mesmorizing watching the boats come and go, so much so that we had a hard time getting going in the morning. The house was very clean (thanks Jessica) and well-appointed. The bathrooms are a bit cramped, but not enough to take anything away from our stay. The on-demand water heater gave us all the hot water we could possibly want. This is probably the best located coastal homes we have ever stayed in. Easy walking distance to the beach or town center (albeit a bit hilly). The hike around Trinidad Head was amazing. We love the town of Trinidad, everything we needed was there and there are no franchise fast food or motels, just local businesses. Very refreshing.

The house surely has the best views in the town of Trinidad. It was impeccably clean, so relaxing and comfortable, that we really didn’t want to do much else besides take short walks so we could return “home” to hang out on the deck or in the charming living room. I’m already planning a return!

We had the best view in Trinidad. The house was extremely neat and tidy with a lot of little touches. The vintage vibe was a lot of fun. Amazing stay!

Beautiful views! We enjoyed our stay and would return for sure! The bbq was a little small and the wine opener was not functioning as it was bent, but that was really not a big deal. We loved our stay!

Perfect for our group…several who have never visited Trinidad before. Jessica is amazing and always helpful. House was stocked very well with daily towels, dishes, spices, and everything one would need. Amazing views and easy access to the beaches, wharf and stores, shops. A lot of bang for the bang at the Boathouse.

Amazing views, well appointed kitchen with so many useful pans and pots! The beds were comfy and the couches were great! Our Girl’s Trip group of 4 have been getting together every year for over 30 years and truly appreciate a place to puzzle, play games and walk trails nearby! Trinidad is a great place to visit and wish we could have stayed longer. The emails and the information sent to us by the property manager early on were all we needed for our stay! Thank you for the efficiency!

Former California resident visiting from Atlanta. This was an amazing place to stay as we traveled the beaches and redwoods North of Eureka. Very conveniently to excellent grocery store and restaurants. We celebrated birthdays and cooked in the well equipped kitchen. The local flowers are beautiful. But mostly, we visited on the incredible front deck, and walked around the very special neighborhood.

This was our 4th time at the Boathouse and it didn't disappoint. As always, the place was spotless when we arrived. We just love the cozy vibe and the breathtaking views. The hike around Trinidad Head never gets old. And there's so much else to explore. Walks on the beach, hikes in the Redwoods. We'll be back again.

The views were spectacular and the home, with its fun vintage charm, was well appointed, spacious, and cozy. The views were so fantastic in fact, we actually found ourselves making a point of having our dinners there so we could enjoy the sunset from the dining area. Wifi was fast, reliable, and worked great for streaming video on our own devices. From what we could see, the living room tv software was too outdated to offer Hulu, but the cable tv provided worked great for viewing live sports and had other channels as well. Stargazing from the deck was wonderful and the nights were quiet. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return to this true Trinidad gem.

Great location. The house is simple, clean, and well equipped. The view is spectacular. We had everything we needed with access to restaurants, the beach and the state and national parks. Our host was very responsive with the couple of questions I had. We will definitely return to the Boathouse when we are back in Trinidad.

The views are amazing, and you immediately can treat yourself to relaxation and peacefulness. The house is comfortable and restaurants and hiking walkable.

We love this place, This is our second stay because this home is just right for us. It is very comfortable, well stocked with great views, and a feeling of being alone even though there are neighbors. It is close to restaurants and a small grocery store. Casey contacted us immediately when the electricity went out and told us what provisions he had made for such an emergency. That was very reassuring. And pretty remarkable since he was in Mexico at the time! We would recommend driving into McKinleyville to the Safeway for groceries. The local store has a great vibe but the supplies are very limited. We definitely would rent again.

We loved our stay at the boathouse for the Thanksgiving Holiday! The view was spectacular, the house was in the perfect location walkable to everything from walking trails to restaurants. The house itself had everything you could need. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of blankets and pillows and towels. The shower water pressure was very good - easily rinsed the shampoo out. There were plenty of games and puzzles. The house was very clean. We will be returning!

As usual this place didn’t disappoint. We’ve stayed here several times and we’re going to keep coming back. Thank you Casey for hosting.

Second time staying at this cozy home with the most amazing views. The house is well equipped with kitchen essentials and comfortable beds which is a good thing because you won’t want to leave when you see the views. But if you do venture out, you’re close to the amazing paths at Patrick’s point and not too far from Fern Canyon and lots of Redwood options. The checkout process is easy and makes the stay that much more relaxing. Looking forward to my next stay in this lovely home.

We've been coming to Humboldt County for many years, but this was our first stay in Trinidad. This is THE place. Just a gorgeous location (best view) and the home is very clean, well stocked and inviting. Trinidad is very close to Redwood National Park and also Arcata/Eureka (with airport). We will certainly be back to visit "the Boat House". Thank you for making our stay so awesome!

This was the nicest verbo we have stayed in. The easy access to beaches and the Redwoods was awesome. We are already planning our next trip back to stay in the Boathouse. If you are thinking about booking the boathouse do it now.

This is our second trip here and between the location, sound of the ocean, birds and smell of fresh air we decided to book again for next year instead of every other year. Had the wonderful opportunity to meet the owner and he was so happy and kind. We recommended a table for the patio and when we arrived, there was a table... Thank you! Can't wait to stay again in 2024.

We loved our stay at the Boathouse, it had a fabulous view, and all the amenities and comforts of home!! A repeat for sure!!!

A two bedroom detached property on one floor, with ample storage, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer. A very large lounge/dining area with two large sofas (one is a 3rd bed) a dining table and chairs and a reclining chair. The panoramic full height windows overlook the sea. The only improvements I would suggest are: a blind over the right hand window. If you want to sit on the main sofa looking out over the sea, the sun comes down through the right window and is blinding. This also means (should you want to) you can’t see the TV until full dark. One full size bed would be good. We didn’t struggle and it’s not a complaint, but it would be nice. We will book again ASAP. We came from England to get married in the forest while staying at the Boathouse and it was the perfect place for our wedding night and first day of our honeymoon. Thank you.

The views were spectacular, the beds so comfortable, the location perfectly quiet except for the sounds of sea and birds. We walked everywhere, including to several restaurants and the beach. Amazingly relaxing!

The Boat house is truly special. They have maintained the original charm and character of this unique house and location. May be the most beautiful place in the California Pacific Coast. Hidden gem. Quiet town, hiking on Trinidad head, wonderful shops and restaurants, and on the doorstep of so many activities in each direction. Loved the house, the open floorplan and expansive decks, and all the amenities.
