The property is situated about a 15 min walk from Pisac town, 5 minutes walk from a nice restaurant, it has great views a hills and helpful staff. The property does need some updating. The bathrooms all smelled and were not finished to a high standard. They look 30 years old and have been repaired and painted amateurly. We were awoken each night in the master bedroom and the adjoining room by animals chewing the wood beams in the ceilings. This continued each night for at least an hour of two, making for a bad nights sleep. We asked asked for breakfast to be provided at an additional cost and were given a very basic spread of 6 eggs, 12 local buns, a small jug of orange juice and coffee. (For an extra 200 Soles.) This was not enough food for a large family of 6. The yard is beautiful and has lovely views, but the equipment offered to enjoy these views are old, broken and uncomfortable. Unfortunately after our 3 night stay i would have prefered to stay at our previous amazing hotel in Yukay and used it as a base to visit the ruins in Pisac. The pictures in the existing listing are from years ago and need to be updated.

We had a great time in Pisac! Cozy, clean and beautifull place. Maria Jose is an excelent host, always available and sweet. Easy communication. The people who works at the place are great. Its our 2nd experience there and I hope to visit more often. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property, inside and out
Our short two night stay was not enough. We felt comfortable right from the beginning in this stunning casa. Lovely caretakers. There are two great local restaurants just a few minutes walk down the charming dirt road. The only thing we were missing was breakfast in the morning… the listing says that breakfast is included, which is a huge plus for us (and one of the reasons we booked the property since we had early morning activities planned both days. When we asked the housekeeper she didn’t know anything about it). All in all a fantastic experience !

Unas vacaciones memorables
Vengan! Estarán felices aquí. Gracias por todo a María José.

Second visit - wonderful place
We had stayed here earlier this year. This time around, I booked Martina Wasi for a family I was traveling with. It was an excellent base for them, and I enjoyed visiting. It's a beautiful spot.

Peaceful and comfortable place
We were couples from Germany, Norway, Costa Rica and the USA. The location was peaceful and confortable. A place to spend many days enjoying the nice sunny days in the morning and warm nights beside the fireplace. It has all the modern confort with the personal assistant to make sure your are fed and taking care of all your needs. Personally I will be back with my own family.

A slice of heaven in Pisac and the Valle Sagrado!
If I could give this place 6 stars I definitely would. We've been using VRBO for about 15 years now and this is easily one of if not the best vacation rental experiences we've had. Just know that this property is about 50 minutes from Cusco and is quite remote although Pisac's Plaza De Armas offers great shopping and has some excellent restaurants. Mornings are easily the best time of day in this house. Having coffee on the patio looking out onto the manicured lawn and the mountains surrounding the Sacred Valley bring about such a sense of peace. A totally unexpected bonus are the housekeepers, Gualberto and Jesusa. They made breakfast for us every morning, had a wood burning stove and fireplace ready for us when we returned at the end of the day, and were always at the ready to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Also can't say enough about how helpful and responsive the owner/property manager, Maria Jose, is. Gracias por abrir su hogar a nosotros. Esperamos volver a vistarlo pronto!

AMAZING!
Our stay far exceeded our expectations! Beautiful home in Pisac. Quiet and peaceful... Only a short walk to the Pisac market and restaurants. The caretakers took excellent care of us from transportation to answering any questions we had. Jesusa made a delicious breakfast and had the coffee ready
for early risers. Thank you so much for a memorable time in Peru. We will recommend this place to everyone.

Peruvian Perfection
This property was the perfect place for us!
Place is beautiful, private, a close walk to town market and a restaurant a block away on the corner.
Jesusa and Choque did not speak english, but with a cell phone translator we were able to communicate. They are wonderful people and we were glad to have them be a part of our vacation experience in Peru.
If we should ever go back to Pisac.....this is the only place we would stay!!

Beautiful views, spacious home -- a wonderful base for our family while in Pisac
We stayed at Martina Wasi in March of this year for four nights and greatly enjoyed our time there. It is a spacious property -- and was more than we needed for our family of four adults-- but we appreciated all that it offered, including the patio with views of the archaeological site, the well equipped kitchen, and the beautifully appointed living room and dining room. We had full days while there, and so had less time than we would have liked to just relax on the patio. However, we really enjoyed coming back in the evening to a cozy fire in the living room.

Beautiful, expansive property on the outskirts of Pueblo Pisac
I was fortunate to have a 21 day stay at this property end of Feb & Mar. Summer season for Cusco. Lucky for me, most days, the weather was great for sitting outdoors to enjoy crisp, cool mornings and evenings on the patio or under mature trees looking at the mountains that surround the area of Pisac. There was lots of sporadic rain to plan around. There is Spanish speaking staff on the property at all times that can help with check in/out, calling a taxi or mototaxi, shopping, touring information, etc. but English is very limited. Mr Choque & Ms Jesusa were very friendly, helpful and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Lovely people. Jesusa came in daily to fix breakfast, coffee, tea, bread, yogurt, cereal, eggs, cheese. I love to cook, so she took me to the local market and showed me from whom to buy fruit, veggies, meat & groceries. We were curious about how the other cooked so we cooked together sometimes. It was great to have a sous chef at breakfast. ;-) She will also do laundry for a small fee. Note - they freely come & go into the house, do their best to make your stay comfortable and help in anyway they can, gratuities not expected but greatly appreciated. The house has 2 spacious living/dining areas, a breakfast bar in the well equipped kitchen, (kitchen needs better lighting), 4 bedrooms separated from the living areas, 4 full bathrooms. You could sleep 10 people, 2 rooms have a bunk & 2 twins each. There is no central heat or air in the house. Choque built a lovely fire in the main living area nightly. There is no heat in bedrooms. There is a wood stove in the hall of the sleeping wing but it was not used. I just put an extra blanket on the bed. There are down comforters on all beds. Extra bath towels provided upon request. You can walk to Rio Vilcanota from the house for a nice hike along the river. The pueblo is 15 min walk away or 5 mins by mototaxi. It's dirt roads so walking is smoother than the bumpy ride in the mototaxi. There are many local & tourist restaurants to try in Pisac. There is an Italian dinner resto and an Andean lunch resto within 3-4 min walk away. The owners of the property were quick to respond to requests and questions about anything from driving directions, trains, road conditions, transportation, weather, Cusco, etc. We will visit Peru again. Martina Wasi will be our destination in Pisac.

A Beautiful Stay
My family and I were very impressed with the leave of service and the quality of the villas. The husband and wife team that ran the day-to-day were fabulous. They were very concerned whether everything was to our liking: very attentive. But we were fortunate that my son spoke fluent Spanish which made it easier. Although Shannon, the property manager, was very quick to respond to emails when we had a minor issues. Even changing things on the fly was not a problem. Gualberto, the husband, picked us up from the airport and helped arrange our bike tour, was great. The best was after a long day at Machu Picchu the fireplace was stoked when we got back. It was great to relax by the fire with a glass or wine and a Scotch!. There is lots of room for everyone to have some space and the bedrooms are a good size. The master is quite spacious. The town of Pisac is a short walk away which was great and it was not an overly busy town. Everything was accessible and not crowded like other villages we visited. And the pricing was the best in the Valley!
This is really a 4.5 Star villas even though it does not have a pool or hot tub. Toiletries would have been the only other thing missing. Travel these days with liquids is such a hassle.
I would highly recommend this villas for families or adult groups who want to explore the Scared Valley without all the hustle of larger villages. There is some night life but not a lot.

What a gem in Sacred Valley
May 19 - May 23, 2017
Martina Wasi was the perfect location for our small destination wedding. The views are so stunning that I thought I was in a movie. The view of the Andes from the villa are just unreal, everyone in the party was floored. The property itself has great rustic/Peruvian decor with a touch of modernity where appropriate (TV, WiFi, appliances, etc.). The property caretakers, Choque and Jesusa, were highlights of the trip. Everything was clean, breakfast/meals prepared by Jesusa were stellar. Shannon was very accommodating and responsive to emails. I would chose Martina Wasi again if given the choice; the best place to stay in Pisac/Cusco. Truly a wonderful experience I will not forget.

Most beautiful in the sacred Valley!
Most beautiful in the sacred Valley!
I have stayed in Pisac over 10 times over the last few years and I can tell you that Marnita Wasi is the place to be. The house is nothing short of stunning with the best views of the mountains that the sacred Valley has the offer. The gardens are breathtaking and hummingbirds dart back-and-forth providing entertainment all day long. The interior of the house so beautiful , warm, inviting and above all comfortable. There is enough drawer space and closet space that you can move right in and feel at home. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could possibly need to cook a meal. The beds are most comfortable and in the morning just open the curtains and you can see the views of the mountains right from your bed. We hated to leave Marnita Wasi and will certainly be back again!

Perfect Home Base to see the Sacred Valley
We are a family of 6, our 4 children ranging in age from 14 to 30. Our goal was to stay in a place that would fit us comfortably, allow us to spend time together (instead of separate hotel rooms), and tour on our own schedule. Our week at Martina Wasi was spectacular. The home is gorgeous, and the spacious grounds with views of the Andes are awe inspiring. Comfortable bedrooms, two family areas to hang out, kitchen, and dining area, you quickly feel like you are at home.
Yet, everyone in our family would agree that the most charming aspect of this home is the family of Choque and Jesusa. Their warm hospitality may be the most memorable part of the trip, something we will remember and talk about whenever we talk about Machu Picchu.
Day and evening trips to Cusco, touring around the Sacred Valley, via ferrata, the rail station, all with Choque as our driver, after a morning start of coffee and breakfast by Jesusa. Each day was easy to plan, flexible, and Choque knows the area very well and is always on time.
Pisaq is a great location to start and finish a trip to the Sacred Valley. Lower altitude than Cusco, you can acclimate here, visit the market and ruins in Pisaq within minutes, and drive up to Cusco when ready. The Sacred Valley is not a vast region, so you are within easy reach of any site, and having your personal driver, you don't have to worry about waiting for other parties or arranging transportation.
All of our luggage was lost and Choque helped to get it quickly delivered from the airport the day after we arrived. We didn't lose any time. I hope on our next vacation we find accommodations that can live up to these.

Magical Place, Great Hosts
The house was fabulous and Choque and Jesusa did an excellent job! We all really enjoyed our time there and it was a highlight of the vacation just short of the five day Inca trail trek :)
I hope I get to return sometime in the future as it is truly a magical place.
thank you again for all your help and prompt responses!

Beautiful Home, Great Location, Awesome Time!
My wife and I with our four children and one of their girlfriend's (all young adults) stayed at Martina Wasi for four nights to begin our vacation in the Sacred Valley. We have stayed in many, many vacation rentals around the world and this home and the overall experience clearly rivaled the best ones we have ever had. For us, the location was truly ideal - Pisac is truly a unique town (very fun and large Sunday market, very large Inca Ruins - some of the largest of all Inca historical sites and a GREAT HIKE, good restaurants, access to fun day activities - we did a very challenging all day mountain biking trip that was one of the highlights of our overall vacation), plus much more. The caretakers - Choque and Jesusa (who live in a separate home on the property) were fantastic. Choque picked us up from the Cusco airport and was our driver (for an extra fee) throughout our stay - using a large and comfortable van. Jesusa and Chocque also cooked and prepared a wonderful breakfast (which in included in the rental) and also were available for dinner (for an additional fee which we did 2 nights - well worth it!). They also made a fire for us each night - nice touch!! Staying here helped us acclimatize vs. the higher elevation of Cusco and was an absolute delightful beginning to our amazing trip to Peru. I highly recommend this home for rental.

Words cannot express how much our group of 8 enjoyed our respite at Martina Wasi. Following 4 day hiking the Inca Trail, we were all exhausted and looking for a chance to relax and unwind in solitude. Martina Wasi was the perfect place to do so, as we were incredibly well taken care of by Choque & Jesusa, the couple that reside near the property with their daughter Maria. For a reasonable per person fee, we added additional services such as shuttle pick-up from Cusco, laundry, and three meals per day. The food was excellent and thoughtfully prepared. The beds were extremely comfortable. Choque made sure to have a fire going for us in the fireplace each night, making the stay that much more homey. The walk in to Pisac is only 15 minutes, and there is an abundance of archaeological sites nearby for exploration. For those looking to take advantage of Peruvian hospitality at its best, you will not regret choosing Martina Wasi!

This review is way overdue, since we traveled last summer, but that delay has nothing to do with our fantastic experience at this exquisite family home in the Sacred Valley. As others have said, the quality and beauty of the home's furnishings and location are actually outstripped by the warm, helpful, and attentive management offered by Choque and Jesusa. Our five days at Martina Wasi were the splurge of a two week trip to the Cusco region and we never regretted it for an instant. Choque gave us a wonderful car tour of surrounding towns, especially Ollanta, and Jesusa made terrific breakfasts and two very delicious Peruvian dinners. The house and its lovely backyard, with such amazing views, was such a peaceful and gorgeous retreat after the relative bustle of Cusco. Our kids (and we) all enjoyed the bright spirits and good company of their daughter Maria and the kids even made friends with a neighbor. There is a good restaurant on the corner near the house, even though it's situated in a lovely valley a bit outside Pisac; and the walk to town and its markets and restaurants is easy (15-20min) and invigorating (though a bit dusty at times). We were a large group (2 couples, 4 teenage children) and the house was luxuriously comfortable for the entire group. Shannon and her husband's family in Lima were always helpful and clear about arrangements and very generous with their time and trust. My husband and I both hope to go back and spend more time in that region and in their lovely home.

This villa and the darling family who manage it are the gems of the Sacred Valley. The house and grounds are perfectly kept and beautiful. Choque, his wife, Jesusa, and daughter, Maria. were perfect hosts, and we miss them terribly. Choque delivered us to every conceivable destination from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, and Jesusa prepared delicious meals for breakfast and dinner. We took the train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu early one morning, and he picked us up late that evening upon our return. Always perfectly on time and reliably good natured, Choque was a great driver in a location which offers extremely difficult traffic. Maria is darling and bright. We enjoyed her company a great deal.Rooms are very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The house has wifi, and the sitting rooms with fireplace are warm and adjoin the patio. We never turned on the television opting instead to enjoy the fire that Choque laid and lit each evening. From the patio, the Pisaq Incan ruins are visible, and the garden is lovely. We walked to town for the market on two days, and it is a great source of handicrafts. Sunday was especially interesting with produce and meats colorfully displayed.Dont miss this beautiful spot. We treasured every second of our time there.

I booked this villa for myself and 10 classmates who were in Peru for an International trip for our MBA program. Upon concluded our academic events in Lima we stayed at Martina Wasi for 4 days. First of all the villa, the town of Pisac, and the Sacred Valley are remarkable and ended up being one of the best experiences any of us have ever had and we are all relatively well traveled. The Villa, Martina Wasi is magnificent. The home is serene, beautiful, with the feeling of being remote but the convenience of a 5 minute drive to the quaint town of Pisac. We could not have asked for better accommodations and the experience at the home enriched our lives forever.
The best part of the experience was getting to know the family that takes care of the property and guests of Martina Wasi. Choaque, his wife Jesus, and their daughter Maria Jesus are amazing people. They are warm, kind, and go out of their way to take care of their guests and they treat all guests like family. They are a remarkable family and it was actually sad to have to leave. We had no transportation from Cusco to Martina Wasi and Choaque picked us up, and arranged for additional transportation because our group was so large. He drove us to a number of different places which took time away from his family. They prepared a wonderful breakfast every morning and they cooked us an outstanding traditional dinner one night. They are truly accommodating and honestly made our experience. Seeing the majestic grounds of Machu Piccu was an unreal experience but this family gave us insight to Peruvian culture which we would never had received otherwise.
Martina Wasi was fantastic and I can only hope to take friends and my family back there one day! A must book if you are planning on visiting Peru and the Sacred Valley.

Beautiful! After a long flight from California, Martina Wasi provided three generations of family a perfect place to acclimate to the altitude and to settle in soak in the beauty of the sacred valley. Shannon and the staff made every effort to make sure the group was comfortable and without a doubt, everyone loved the gardens and the house. We had a great time.
