A propos de ce cabane standardrental
Glacier Retreat Overlooking a 27-Acre Pond

First and foremost is the location of the cabin - it is close to West Glacier National Park Entrance (Apgar Visitor Center). It is a timed entry, but it can be booked at 7PM day prior. Apgar has WiFi internet, so join the crowd there if you're still at the park.
Cabin is very cozy. Excellent retreat for a family. Now, it does get hot during the day, if it is hot outside, as Glacier is only at 3,500-5,000 ft altitude. However, the nights are cold and it cools off fast; and you really should be spending your day outside anyway. There are ceiling fans and window fans that help out. It is absolutely normal setup for a mountains cabin.
While would be nice to have is the washer and dryer on-site, we were prepared. We packed enough clothes for both cold and hot weather, but it was all warm temps in July at all altitudes.
Many bear spray bottles to borrow, if you don't have your own, so that's a plus.
Garage can be used to park your vehicle, avoiding curious animal encounters.
3 individual beds upstairs was the final deciding factor, accommodating everyone in our party.
If you plan to work remote, DSL internet was not stable and did go out. My AT&T cellphone hotspot was slow, but manageable. Cell phone reception is acceptable, considering remoteness of the area.
Overall, we had a remarkable vacation visiting the Glacier National Park.

Spacious, serene and close to west gate. The pictures were accurate and the hosts communicated well. We had an issue with the cleaning crew and the hosts worked diligently to remedy it. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of a space for our family of 5. We enjoyed dinners on the porch and seeing the wildlife (turtles and deer). There was a range of games and puzzles for hiking breaks. The wifi was slow, but not a big deal as we weren’t using it for work from home, just searching for trails, etc. We enjoyed our stay!

House was perfect for our relaxing and refueling after a day on the trails. Close to Glacier's West Entrance. Kitchen is well equipped, especially for those who cook. Prepared all meals in and enjoyed having everything we needed handy, plus some. Would love to stay here again when returning to explore more of GNP. Kathy was great at communicating and anticipating needs.

First trip to the area and Lord willing we will be back. First thing the owner is great with communication. No issues there at all which means a lot. Second it’s perfectly located. It was just a few minutes to the west Yellowstone entrance so getting in and out of park was a quick and easy. After your day it was a short drive if you wanted to go straight back to cabin or 20-30 minutes back to town if you needed to go there. Easy driving. Less than a mile from gas, ice, etc. The cabin sits far enough off the main road you feel like your in your own little world but about a mile to main road. All the accommodations inside the cabin were great. We cooked there most nights. Comfy beds. Hot showers. Plenty of room for four adults. Peace of mind with Easy access and easy to use alarm system. We just can’t say enough about how great our stay was. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation.

We loved the setting of the cabin being on a large piece of natural land with so much privacy so close to Glacier National Park. It was cozy, clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. Nice large yard space for kids to explore, look for animals, and play. Walking the paths through the meadow and sitting on the front porch were nice. The host was very responsive communicating with us. We really appreciated being able to borrow things like bear spray, maps, and a cooler to take picnics into the park. Overall a great stay and would return! A few things to note... you cannot access the washer/dryer area, so plan accordingly. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper as there's a train track nearby. Once in the cabin there are notes to not use the fireplace so it should be removed from the listing/photos. The property does face a large pond, but it is quite a distance away and mostly obstructed by trees, so I would not describe the property as waterfront as the listing states. We were disappointed we could not access the pond to sit and view wildlife, fish, or paddle, but it wouldn't prevent us from staying there again! Wonderful way to experience Glacier with convenience, comfort, and privacy.

Perfect home and perfect location to refresh and renew. We were able to visit Glacier Park, Whitefish, and all places in between.
Coffee on the deck watching momma and baby deer is peaceful. The hummingbirds and squirrels were almost humanlike friendly.
We are thankful for Kathy's home and her thoughtful easy arrival and departure list. Kathy was kind to also answer any questions about Glacier Park entry. We felt very fortunate to find this home.

We spent five nights at the cabin and enjoyed ourselves very much. Most of our time was spent at glacier park and it was relaxing to return to the cabin. The cabin has most everything you will need for your visit and more. I appreciated the personal items shared with the visitors (e.g. dvds, puzzles, games).
The owners were always responsive and made us feel at home.
While we were there we did see a herd of female elk and their babies one morning which was a nice treat.
If you going to glacier then this is a nice place to stay.

We loved everything about our stay in this cabin--the host was amazing and made our plans so much easier with all the advance info she shared. The home was very well equipped, and the location could not have been better--close to Glacier National Park and local restaurants, yet out in the country with complete privacy and tranquility. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Our entire experience with Kathy was wonderful. She was in touch with us from before we booked to after we checked out. We were 6 adults - 3 couples (with one couple being 92 years old). Kathy went out of her way to ensure we had sleeping arrangements for all the couples - given there are 2 bedrooms. One couple slept in the upstairs loft on the futon and extra twin mattress provided. The kitchen had absolutely everything needed - and more! The frig & pantry even had a nice supply of basic condiments. My parents loved the porch and spent a lot of time reading there. The garage is stocked with a large supply of outdoor items you might need - life vests, fly fishing items, etc. The garage itself is nicely organized and with plenty of room for a vehicle - which we just chose to store our coolers / etc. to keep them out of the way. This is a wonderful location if you're exploring Glacier - a short drive from the West Entrance. Kathy was in touch with us before our arrival with driving instructions and how to get into the house. She has a great deal of information about the cabin and fun things to do in the area. Highly recommend this lovely spot.

We really enjoyed our stay!! The house was very clean and allowed the six of us enough space to ourselves. We were visited by 2 does and 2 fawns every day and got to watch them play in the meadow below. Hopefully we’ll be back next year. Thank you for hosting our family.

Kathy’s home was perfect. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. It was convenient. Close to the park and to Coram for groceries and activities. The huckleberry shakes at the Huckleberry Patch are sooo delicious. We highly recommend her home.

We loved the house. It was remote enough that social distancing was no problem. The property is beautiful. A family of deer came and went. The house had plenty of space for a family of 4, and it was very well stocked with anything you'd need. There was great tourist information for planning our days. The house is on a huge property that goes right up to a pond. We loved sitting out on the porch for meals and at night. It was about a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. It was no problem to go back and forth, even a couple of times during the day. Because of the pandemic, we didn't check out any of the restaurants but it does look like there are some cute places nearby for families under normal circumstances. The mosquitos can be fierce, so bring bug spray.I would love to stay at the house again.
