Cottage récemment rénové, à quelques pas de la plage privée. Notre chalet est à quelques pas d'une plage privée (juste en face de la rue). Tout a été récemment rénové, mais a cette sensation balnéaire rustique. Il y a beaucoup d'espaces intérieurs et extérieurs pour une escapade en famille, avec Wifi pour se connecter au monde et encore plus d'opportunités de se déconnecter au besoin.
Certes, il serait facile de se cacher ici pendant une semaine ou plus sans nouer beaucoup de contacts avec des personnes autres que les goélands. Cela étant dit, Fairfield est également riche en options gastronomiques et de divertissement.
Nous sommes facilement accessibles en vélo, en ville, par une promenade plus longue et par un trajet très court en voiture ou en Uber. Le chalet se trouve à environ 800 mètres de l’arrêt de train Fairfield Metro North (qui se trouve à environ une heure de Manhattan) et vous permet de sauter et de sauter de l’Interstate 95 et de Merritt Parkway.
Le chemin menant à la plage est directement en face de la rue et entre deux maisons. Ceci est une caractéristique commune de Fairfield Beach. En outre, nous avons un parking pour trois véhicules, à l'avant, sous la maison. Le parking peut être serré pour les grosses voitures.

The cottage was perfect. All of the basics were supplied such as toilet paper, paper towels, pack and play, booster seat etc. Check in and check out were easy with very little for us to do. Gerard was extremely helpful. He is one of the most efficient and kind property managers that I have ever dealt with. He answered every question I had and provided information about the area.The beach area was clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and the backyard space was great with the kids!

The house is beautiful, the location is wonderful. The beds are comfy. Everything is perfect. The only caution is the parking space is a little tight if you have a big vehicle. I drove a Ford Transit 12 passenger van which I was able to get off the street with some maneuvering. Any bigger than that would be difficult.

The house was absolutely perfect and Gerard was so kind! The location cannot be beat and the house was so comfortable to stay in, highly highly recommend you stay here if you are going to Fairfield!

Such a cute beach house. It is was a perfect location for our family of four to stay at while visiting with other family in Fairfield/Southport/Westport and also allowing us to go into NYC for a day trip to the Statue of Liberty.

This is a gorgeous property. The house is so nicely renovated and really lovely and comfortable. It has nice furniture and linens and a great kitchen. We were surprised by how much the kitchen had in a compact size. Plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Helpful instructions were given on how to access the beach and we had no problems with that. It is very close and you can see a sliver of ocean from the couch and dining table. The only thing that surprised us was how small the parking area is. We had a single mid sized SUV to park and it took some maneuvering to get it where it wasn’t right by the road. I felt a little nervous being so parked to the road on a turn but I did notice that other properties had a similar situation and parked extremely close to the road. It seems like a small community and we didn’t get swiped so it worked out in the end. I would heartily recommend this property and hope we may be so lucky as to stay here again in the future. I would sum it up as- everything you need, beautiful, relaxing, and quaint yet luxurious.

We live in the same town but needed to move out of our house for a few days due to a construction project at our house. Gerard was the best he went out of his way by texts to make sure everything was going well at the rental. He let us check in early so we could work the day we checked in which was great! The rental was very clean and cozy! It was great that we could bring our 2 dogs they enjoyed being close to the beach. I would rent this place again! Thank you Gerard!

The owner was fantastic from start to finish - always readily available and made our comfort his obvious priority. The property itself was as described; cute, neat, clean and just enough space. While the TV had just very basic cable channels, it was a smart TV with a firestick for streaming, which was fine. Would be great if there were small TVs in the bedrooms, but this is more of a suggestion and wasn't a big deal at all.
The beach access thing is a little tricky, not so much the owner's issue, but the owner of the tall house across the street wasn't happy when we put our umbrella and chairs on the area that we thought and still believe was 'inside the high tide line' as described in the rules. While she congenially expressed her frustration with seeing parades of strangers basically sitting in her back yard, she also made no offer/effort to allow us to stay the 15 minutes more we said we were planning on staying. If she really "loved people" and "felt so bad telling us" as much as she said she did, then why not allow us the 15 minutes to watch the waves and pack up? Hmmm...
Finally, my wife left her Kindle behind and the owner located it and handed it off to my daughter who goes to school in the area - great customer service!
Would recommend if you're in the area and looking for a reasonably priced stay at a comfortable place with a helpful, friendly owner.

I am beyond impressed with the communication from Gerald. He was quick to let me know there was an AC issue prior to our check in, which he already had a resolution too, which was fixed before we arrived.
The cottage itself is quaint, clean, and has everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were extremely soft, if you like that you are set, otherwise pack your own.
The beach contained a good amount of shells, bring water shoes if you have sensitive feet. The shells cleared out upon getting further into the water.
Parking was tight, I would not recommend a large SUV or van. Upon chatting with Gerald regarding the parking, he provided me an alternative for parking.
I would 100% stay here again. The communication alone from Gerald had me sold. Thank you Gerald for being so readily available and honest. You can tell the host 100% takes his properties seriously and truly wants the guests to have a great experience.

Our stay was great at this quaint beach house. We instantly felt relaxed.
Great Gull Properties, especially Gerard, is terrific! Everything we needed was provided. Some local eateries weren't open Monday and Tuesday, which was a little inconvenient, but overall the location was great...close to the beach and the cute town and other nearby towns for shopping and eating and entertainment. We would recommend Great Gull Properties.

We had a nice stay at the beach house. The summer cottage was very clean and very comfortable. Gerard, the owner, responsed immediatly to questions and needs. We got bikes to explore Fairfield. Everything you need for a pleasent stay was there. The AC was very effectively , but noisy. We would rent this charming beach house again!Thank you, family R. from Berlin/ Germany

It is a charming cottage that has been elevated so the living area is now at the height of a second story which is quite common for coastal houses. There are window unit air conditioners that worked great when the temperature reached the 90s.I was a bit self conscious at the beach. You must walk between 2 houses across the street to get to a private beach. It felt as though I was sitting in their back yard. However, no one else in my family felt this way.The beach was fantastic for little kids at low tide. They could walk forever without it being over their heads.The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The beds were very comfortable. Interacting with Alexa was interesting, since I don't own that kind of technology.My frustration was with parking. For most of our stay we had 3 cars. Parking is below the raised kitchen, in between posts and very tight. People in the front seats have a difficult time getting out. My car stuck out a bit into the street.I was with grandchildren, and we took advantage of an outdoor concert and a children's museum besides trips to the beach. Fairfield is a wonderful community. This is a very affordable cottage and a great deal for staying at the beach in Fairfield.

Charming and well appointed little beach house
The house was wonderful, a nice deck off the back, a short walk to the beach, kayak, and generally just comfortable. As a family of four we really enjoyed the stay and Gerard was ever available if we had any questions or issues. Parking is a little tight but if you go slow and are careful backing out you can fit in between the posts. Overall, 5 stars.

Perfect beach cottage!!
We absolutely loved our vacation at this property!!! The location is perfect, just steps from a private beach and right in town close to everything. The house was immaculate and very well stocked - no details were overlooked. Everything is new and updated and the decor is perfect for a beach house. There are hammocks "under" the house to lounge in and we had a blast kayaking in the ocean. Hope to be back next summer!

Picture Perfect
Everything was perfect right down to the detail of the owner checking in with us making sure everything was going well with our vacation and stay. The house was amazing and the kitchen was great for cooking. We loved the private beach and the owner had beach towels ready for you to enjoy! All of us in our party agreed that the beds were very comfortable. I would say my two little girls favorite was lounging in the hammocks under the deck! We would 100% rent this house again and any property this owner has! Thank you again for a very memorable first trip to the east coast!

An absolutely fantastic place and location!
The house was wonderful and Gerard was available at every step of the process to ensure we had the very best stay. We came for a half marathon and I can't think of any place that would've been better for resting up prior and relaxing after. Everyone kept remarking on how cute all the decor was and we were very pleasantly surprised by all the little touches Gerard had made to be welcoming. Everything was clean and in tiptop shape, I am grateful that we got to stay here.

Fabulous weekend at the Charming Summer Cottage
This cottage was very charming - The location was perfect - just a short walk across the street and down a path and you are on the private beach -If you like to go for early morning walks, the road does not have sidewalks but the traffic was light and drivers are very considerate and there are lots of beautiful homes to admire. The cottage was very clean - brand new appliances in the kitchen - very well supplied with coffee and spices - 2 newly renovated bathrooms - with a beachy theme - shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were supplied along with travel toothbrushes and toothpaste - the towels were very soft - The 3 bedrooms each had a closet and also nicely decorated - The deck was in the back with a big table - overlooking a nice big back yard - perfect for a whiffel ball game in the summer and we even saw a couple of deer run by - There was parking for 3 cars but it was tight but you just had to make sure the driver could get in and out of the car - the rest would wait until the car was pulled out.- The owner, Gerard, was wonderful - he sent me an email to make sure we were all checked in - and he stayed in touch with us during our stay.
We would give the Charming Summer Cottage a 10.

Had a wonderful mini vacation at this beach home, looks like something right out of a magazine! Had everything we needed and the owner was very helpful and accommodating prior to our arrival. Will definitely be back! 💞
