Situé à Wicken, l'un des plus beaux villages du Cambridgeshire, ce charmant bungalow indépendant, avec son beau jardin et ses vues vallonnées sur la campagne, est l'hébergement de vacances idéal pour se détendre. Une courte promenade (¼ de mile) vous emmène à la célèbre Wicken Fen (NT), et les cyclistes apprécieront le charmant trajet le long de la rivière d'Ely à Cambridge (service de location de vélos disponible à proximité). Il y a une myriade d'attractions dans la région, y compris l'abbaye d'Anglesey (NT), la ville de Bury St Edmunds avec ses jardins abbayes, Newmarket, célèbre pour ses courses et ses soirées musicales, Cambridge avec ses universités ou visiter les charmants Ely où vous pouvez regarder le monde passer. Un court trajet en voiture vous mènera à la côte nord de Norfolk, y compris à la station balnéaire de Hunstanton, parfaite pour s'amuser en famille. Magasinez 2 miles, pub et restaurant 500 yards.

As shown by the 5 stars ratings, we were pleased to stay at Barrow Barn and enjoyed our time there.
Just 2 matters to comment upon -
1) The caddy marked coffee contained self-raising flour.
2) After the first day the TV signal for BBC was extremely poor and unwatchable.

The barn was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable with the added cheer of a Christmas tree and welcome pack of a fruit bowl and milk. We weren't sure how a winter holiday just before Christmas would work out but we were blessed with mainly mild and sunny weather so managed to get out every day. We enjoyed the wild scape of Wicken Fen and saw Hen Harriers coming in at the roost, the Winter garden at Anglesey Abbey, Kingfisher Bridge nature reserve, Welney Wetlands (quite flooded) and a wander around Ely. We look forward to returning in the summer when hopefully we can enjoy sitting in the garden too. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay that exceeded expectations. Thank you!

An excellent cottage with super facilities and lovely en-suite in each double bedroom. Very comfy beds and well equipped kitchen made for a very relaxing week. We will be back for more! Good base to explore the area.

We had 2 weeks of beautiful sunny weather and to be able to open up the folding doors and enjoy the sunshine was bliss.
The beds were huge and comfy, bathrooms had excellent showers. The kitchen was well equipped and had wonderful appliances.
The only downside was the WiFi, it kept dropping out and had to be rebooted but this was just a minor irritation.
The barn is every bit as lovely as the photos, we felt very safe there.

Fabulous accommodation, so clean, spacious, light and airy. Two of the double rooms were set out as twin rooms for us at our request which was perfect for us. All the equipment and amenities that we needed. Very well placed for places to visit as well. Definite recommendation from us.

Superb week away.
Superb week away. All enjoyed en suite bathrooms and kitchen was so well equipped. Would highly recommend this property. Much bigger than looks in photographs. Overall a really lovely property.

All bedrooms had ensuite shower rooms and there was a separate guest loo and utility room that were not mentioned on the listing.

Beautiful Barn, extremely well equipped, walking distance to the Pub, food very reasonably priced.
Beautiful Barn, extremely well equipped, walking distance to the Pub, food very reasonably priced. Walking distance to Witham Fen ( National Trust) worth a visit. Plenty of footpaths for flat walking. Soham three miles away over the footpaths. One coffee shop there, Asda and Co-op. Five miles by car to Stretham where there is a post office stores. So remember your milk when out, as Witham does not have any shops. But Stretham does have a good take away Fish and Chip shop. Short car ride to Cambridge and Ely, you need a car, the bus only goes once a week on a Thursday to Soham!
But we thoroughly our week and would recommend Barrow Barn.
