Williamstown is very pretty. Clark Art institute is outstanding.

The structure is imposing; the decor is industrial, dark and unwelcoming; the room was not clean in the bath area: hairs on the floor and soap scum around the shower. The hooks for a towel are too far from the opening of the shower. The wallpaper was peeling off from the bottom. For some reason, the carpet had been deodorized and the smell of the carpet was overwhelming and off-putting. There was little noise control (very "athletic" couple in the room over us...haven't stayed in a place with such little noise cancellation since 1975). For what you get, it's overpriced. Breakfast was "meh" and rock music was blasting over the loudspeaker. Another guest had to ask the host to turn the music off. Prior to breakfast, the place looked like someone forgot to clean the serving area.

Rooms are very nice. Bed extremely comfortable. Whole place very clean. Plenty of good parking. Great location.

When we walked into the room the smell of room deodorizer was SO STRONG it nearly knocked us over. (The staff at the front desk brought in some kind of ozone machine to clear the smell and that did help.) The room was clean but SMALL. Space for a king bed and built in desk/chair, but really nothing else. No place to sit except at the desk. Not even anywhere to put a suitcase. Breakfast (included) was cereal, apples and oranges, bagels, and a messy, unattended waffle maker strewn about with the spillover from previous users. Paper plates and plastic implements. Yuck. We were there during high season, so the cost was outrageously high: for $500+ dollars we expected something better. This was your classic generic hotel and nothing more. Would not stay here again.

Our room was spacious and very quiet; the beds are really comfortable

Conveniently located and breakfast was good!

We ran out of tp - the two rolls in the room when we checked in had like 5 squares each & should have been replaced before we got there. One of the three towels in the room had lipstick on it & not from us 🤢
