A propos de ce appartementrental
Ceret Centre -Sun-Filled Apt, mountain views with A/C
Bienvenue! Ou Benvinguda, comme on dit en catalan.

Great location, great town
Outstanding location, in an interesting area of town, well equipped, comfortable. Like all the previous reviewers we loved the views over the rooftops to the hills. We can also endorse the recommendations for the bakery round the corner - their croissants made each breakfast a delight and the bread straight from the oven was great. Having the market right on your doorstep is quite special and the Saturday morning buzz was really enjoyable. The weather was unseasonably hot and the air conditioning proved a tremendous boon.
Our only reservation re the flat was that we found the bed less than comfortable. The mattress was soft and not particularly supportive and the bed linen was tired and needing to be replaced. As there is no head board the wall behind the bed was quite marked and the bedroom generally needed a lick of paint. However we are aware that we were staying at what is likely to be the end of the season and no doubt these things will be addressed.
Our stay overall was really enjoyable and Ceret is a perfect venue for a great holiday.

Lovely flat in the centre of Ceret
The property is a perfect place to enjoy the lovely town of Ceret. A beautiful location, and the flat has everything you need. Its clean, it has air conditioning (which was a must when it was 42 degrees!) and perfect for the Saturday market which is a must to visit. Definitely a great place to stay.

The property is extremely well situated and is very comfortable
We always enjoy our holidays in Ceret, and this most recent visit was no exception. This property is clean and comfortable, and is well situated for old Ceret, and everything the town has to offer. The wonderful Saturday market is on your doorstep. We had no difficulty during our stay, and everyone was very helpful.

Wonderful place with excellent views in the centre of everything
This was our third time staying here and it is as wonderful as ever. We know the area very well and wanted a central spot to travel around while also relaxing early morning and late evening. This is perfect for that. Hope to visit again

A Beautiful Relaxing Apartment
I couldn't imagine a better place to kick back and relax in Ceret. The apartment is perfect in every way. After a busy week in Berlin, we enjoyed the quiet of Ceret and having a home away from home. Fresh croissants and coffee on the balcony were a great way to start every day. The apartment is well located , tastefully decorated, clean, lacks for nothing, and is extremely comfortable. We enjoyed day trips, the market, and just hanging out. I highly recommend it, and can't way to stay there again.

Ciel bleu -a quiet cosy retreat
We found the flat to be a convenient base for visiting the whole region; from Carcassonne in the west, to Montpellier in the east- as well as south into Spain - Barcellona.
The flat is very well equiped - everything you might need right down to spare light bulbs and umbrella if it rains.
Quiet, a boulangerie just round the corner and a good range of restaurants.
The weather was splendid for the whole time we were there (spring & early summer 2018)

A little gem
We enjoyed being able to walk out from the apartment into ceret which had everything one could wish for. Good food shops, market, museums, restaurants etc.we enjoyed the many hikes in surrounding countryside and used bikes to cycle the ' voie vert'

Superb location.
This wonderful apartment has the most exceptional view to the hills of Ceret and the streets below, particularly on market day. A cosy well equipped home away from home in the centre of beautiful Ceret. Can't recommend it highly enough - it was our second stay there

Excellent value and location
This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment. We first came here more than two years ago and loved it for its convenience, location and overall appeal. When we decided to return this past September, we didn't hesitate to rebook. We weren't disappointed. The apartment was exactly as we remembered. Clean and extremely well maintained. The huge amount of maps and other information about Céret and surrounding area was all up to date. The apartment's local management agency continues to be responsive and helpful. This time the weather was better, allowing us to spend most of our time on the small balcony overlooking the busy square. We love Céret and intend to go back, hopefully to the same apartment.

Heavenly Ciel Bleu
One can practically touch the heavens from the balcony of this wonderful apartment. Ciel Bleu lacks for nothing as is evidenced by the rave reviews from those that preceded us. The location is perfect, the apartment is spotless and the internet lightening fast. Wonder of wonders, there is even a separate tumble dryer as opposed to one of those combination things that hold one's clothes hostage for at least six hours.
The care and concern with which the owners treat their guests is extraordinary. I cannot imagine the time it took to put together the binders and the user manual. Nothing has been left to chance.
Little things mean a lot when traveling...the rubber mat In the shower, a shower that does not flood the entire bathroom, a clean sponge in the
kitchen ,a well equipped kitchen, good lighting for those of us who still prefer to hold printed matter in our hands, the wifi password in advance so one can copy and paste...I could go on and on.
My husband spent many happy hours observing the neighborhood from his perch on the balcony. Indeed, there were days when it was hard to get him to leave the apartment. What shines through is that Ciel Bleu is a home and not just an income property. The owners obviously love their home and you will too.

Perfect location! Sunny, bright with stunning views over the rooftops and the mountains.
Our second time staying at Ciel Bleu; we thoroughly enjoyed living in this neighbourhood ... from the friendly vegetable/fruit sellers, the local bakeries, shops, cafes and restaurants ... all within walking distance.
Perfect location, close to everything Ceret had to offer.
We hope to return again in the future.

Ceret property 327083
This apartment is dated, grimey and cluttered and requires total refurbishment. The owners haven't replaced anything in years. The bed linen resembles old rags and the pillow cases didn't even fit the pillows. The pillows were absolutely filthy and could not be used. The bathroom is tiny, very dated and dirty. There is no wardrobe - just a hall cupboard which stores the vacuum cleaner and other clobber including dead flies and filth. We would not recommend this property. Neither would we ever return.

Charming and well appointed
The flat was in a terrific location within Ceret, in the midst of cobbled streets and squares, and very comfortable – quiet, safe, and kitted out with everything we needed. We'd highly recommend Ceret itself as a base. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and you can easily drive to seaside villages (e.g. Collioure). We wished we could stay longer.

The Good Life in Ceret
We began to feel less like tourists and more like residents after we settled into this comfortable apartment in this beautiful town. Almost immediately we met a lovely 83 year old lady who lived in the building. She didn't speak English and we don't speak much French, but she made us feel welcome as we had a nice little chat in the lobby. In fact, everyone we met in Ceret was friendly and welcoming. After a few days, we found our favorite shops and discovered some great walks around town. We also took day trips to Collioure and Prats-de-Mollo, which we enjoyed. But it was always great to come back to the apartment, relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the view of the hills and tops of the plane trees outside the windows.

Wonderful views from the apartment
Ceret is a wonderful French village with very friendly people. There are excellent restaurants, art galleries, The Musee of Modern Art and of course, all the small streets and alleys to explore. The apartment was great and the view was spectacular from the living room and bedroom . It was very comfortable and well equipped. The surrounding area is lovely with several small villages to visit..we took advantage of the 1€ bus to get around. The lifestyle is sublime..no hustle and bustle ...it feels like you've taken a big breath and just relaxed. We were there for a month and it felt very much like home..we hated to leave! We loved seeing the market being set up every Saturday morning and we were there for two Carnivals. We enjoyed seeing everyone's enthusiasm in their participation. Ceret is a special place. We hope to return.

Nice, comfortable apartment in old town Ceret
Comfortable and clean with a balcony on an old town square. Modern amenities like the elevator to the third floor apartment, washer and dryer, and a kitchen fully stocked with all you need to cook your own meals if desired. Every was as expected and the representative very friendly and professional. Ceret is a delight with access to the Pyrenees and major highways to northern cities and Spain's Costa Brava. We loved the place and will certainly be making a return trip.

Feels like home!
From the moment we arrived we felt as though we could have moved in and made it our own place. Thus we enjoyed our one week stay very much. As others have noted, the location is perfect both within Ceret and within the region. The apartment is quiet, spacious, has a good bed, good shower, good internet and well equipped kitchen. The view is terrific, the decor is tasteful, there is a good supply of tourist info and books to read. We enjoyed cooking the apt so much we didn't avail ourselves of the several cafes & restaurants in the town. Highly recommended. We used the 1 euro bus to Perpignan; one could stay in Ceret without a car & have a pleasant vacation.

Le Ciel Bleu c'est le top!
We stayed late May to mid-Aug and had a wonderful experience there, with the manager Jay and the owners Elaine and Michael doing everything to make our time comfortable and enjoyable. Design and lighting mean a lot in a long rental, and the owners have terrific taste, as it is very comfy, roomy and colorful, natural materials, lovely framed prints from the museum, all taking advantage of the incredible light and views. We shopped in the Saturday market right downstairs, cooked a lot in the well-equipped kitchen, ate on the nice wood table by the windows, and spent hours watching the dawn and sunset turning the mountains pink, orange and violet beyond the 'place de la Liberte.' Loved the 3 sets of full length doors out to the balconies, which flood the place with light, but you can shut them with metal shutters in the full afternoon sun to cool down the place. Enjoyed being on a square with so much going on (cherry festival with pubic feast late May; horse parade in June; music festival in June, Feria bullrunning mid-July, antiques fair August, etc), all of which came through our square. The location is wonderful, just around the corner from the house Picasso and Braque shared; and near our favorite shady walks by the canals that provide water for all the back-acre farms everywhere in town. Ceret's charm is its golden light, closeness to farms and woods (just noticing wildflowers and fruits changing from spring to late summer was a balm for the citified soul) and of course the sea so close by; it's full of expats but they don't overwhelm the place -- the Catalans won't let them, I think! and the local civic-mindedness is great to experience (just watch the avidity with which they clean the streets; also many free events such as free Monday night films en plein air). It's a fascinating mix of distinct neighborhoods and architecture, a place where Catalan identity is strong, the northern French come for vacation, British expats fix up old farmhouses, and most important local Ceretans run businesses, backyard farms and orchards. One drawback for those who are early sometimes goes too late for us (maybe once every two weeks; and esp during the Feria, which goes til 4am for 4 nights!) but many days are full of quiet times with few cars going by, so people walk in the street. The elevator and A/C strong pluses!!

My husband and I spent a week in this charming village and this equally charming apartment. The location in the village was perfect (right around the corner from the bakery!). Wonderful restaurants and shops were also well within walking distance so the only time we used our car was to go on day trips. We would highly recommend Collioure, about 40 minutes from Ceret and Cadaques, Spain about 1 hour away. Both are on the Mediterranean Sea and incredibly picturesque.
The apartment was everything I had hoped for. It was very comfortably decorated, well-equipped and the view was outstanding. Every morning we'd sit on the balcony drinking our coffee and find ourselves back there in the evening with a local bottle of wine. To spend time here is to truly experience what it feels like to live like the locals. The people were charming and the size of the village was perfect and the Saturday market day was outstanding! We woke Saturday morning to a street full of vendors of local food, clothing, pottery, jewelry and many other items. It went on for blocks and blocks. I highly recommend this apartment and this village to anyone visiting this region. We definitely plan to come back!

My mother and I stayed in this apartment for one week and we did not want to leave. The apartment and the location far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. Views from the balconies are breathtaking, especially with the morning and late afternoon light, The apartment was equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We were easily able to prepare several meals using the wonderful local products.
The apartment sits in lovely square of the old town, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, local sights and the art museum. Just around the corner, at the Place des Neuf Jets, are three great restaurants that I would highly recommend. The first is Quatrocento which has very good pizza. La Fountaine serves well priced French cuisine and the third one is the pricier La Pied Dans Le Plat, with Catalan style meals. The atmosphere in the square friendly, warm and inviting.
Ceret is well located for using public transit. We arrived in Perpignan and took the local bus to Ceret, arriving 35 minutes later. The bus is only 1 Euro per ride and uses coaches with space for luggage.. The sea is 35 km away and you can travel to Spain in less than an hour. We did day trips to Argeles Sur Mer, Les Orgues, Castelnou and Villfranche de Conflent. There were many other possible day trips but we ran out of time. Don't miss the Musée d'art moderne de Céret as it has a excellent collection of art despite its size.
Communication with the owners and managers was prompt, friendly and informative. We were met by the manager upon our arrival and all of our questions were answered. She made us feel right at home and even left us with a bottle of local wine, On the day of our departure, she was so kind to drive us to the bus stop so my mother would not have to tote her luggage through town.
I have stayed in many vacation rentals and I have to say that this one tops the list. I will be back to Ceret for sure and I would love to own an apartment here. It really has a special place in my heart. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.

My husband and I have rented houses and apartments in France nearly every summer since the early 90's, and because the process always requires a leap of faith, it was great to have this year's blind choice turn out to be such a successful one. Ceret is a delightful small town / large village, and the apartment totally lived up to its descriptions and reviews.
It had a perfect kitchen for those who love to cook (like us), and plenty of restaurants and cafes within a couple of minutes walk for people who love local cuisine (like us.) Air conditioning, a washing machine, an elevator, double-paned windows, Wi-Fi. We were happy to have all of them. Oh, and the parking worked out great. The few times we couldn't find a spot in the square out front (like on the amazing market day), we used a modern municipal lot that's a three minute walk away and was never full.
In addition to it's comfort and interior qualities, the apartment is very special for its location. Ceret itself is a treat, but it's also a perfect staging point for day trips. 30 minutes east you find sandy beaches and seafood, 30 minutes west are medieval fortresses and churches in the mountains, 30 minutes north is Perpignan, the bustling and historic capital of the region, and 30 minutes south is Figueres, Spain, which is home to the spectacular Dali Theatre-Museum.
A final note... the local woman who represents the apartment made things easy when we arrived, and was a phone call away when we had one minor question. (Plus, she advised us to try "the cafe with the orange chairs" in the nearby Place de Neuf Jets. Yum. What an excellent recommendation.)
Two big thumbs up go with those five gold stars.
2.5
Ceret is a beautiful village and the apartment is first class and in position "A" within the village. Unlike many places we have stayed, Elaine and Michael have faithfully descibed the features of the apartment and village, with no exaggeration or photo shop. To have a vino on the "petite terrace" late afternoon, overlooking the Place de la Liberte and the Pyrenees is indescribeable. Delicious and reasonably priced cafes within a stone's throw. We had a vehice and found Ceret to be an excellent launching pad for our daily journeys of discovery. You would be very hard to please if unhappy with this situation and accommodation. We are missing it already and will return!!
2.5
A delightful, comfortable apartment for two in a very special setting. Though the building is modern, it fits the character of the lovely old village square while also providing an apartment with clean lines, good use of space, lots of light and up-to-date kitchen, bathroom, appliances and elevator. The apartment is immaculately clean and nicely decorated with prints from the Musee d’Art Moderne, and colourful pottery. Best of all are the French windows with their south-facing view across the Place de la Liberte and over the tiled roofs to the hills beyond. The view was magical in all the different lights of the day and we loved watching the comings and goings in the square below. Since we were away from home for a number of weeks it was great to have wireless internet access. On a practical note, the rent was reasonable and it was a great advantage to be able to pay by PayPal which avoided the inconvenience and extra costs of international bank transfers.
2.5
The answer is nothing. It is clear that the owners have set this place up to stay here themselves, because everything that is needed is here. I could not think of one thing that could be improved.
We have been travelling through Europe for 12 months, staying a couple of weeks at most places, and this apartment is definitely the best appointed place we have stayed in. We had every comfort and, of course, the location is just superb. We really loved Ceret and the surrounding area.
If you have time, it is well worth the 3 hour, each way, drive to Andorra.
I would definitely stay here again!
