We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and comfortable home in Sparta. The home is extremely clean and well cared for. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed the fire pit and serene backyard with the river view. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Another great stay at the Mill House! Perfect location for our annual trip to Sparta. Close to our event, bike trails, and park/aquatic center. Peaceful neighborhood, clean house, stocked with all essentials. We will be back next year!

We were in the area for a family reunion and the Mill House was very convenient for that. We loved the house and property. Waking up in the morning and sitting on the deck watching the creek was a perfect way to start the day. House was clean and lived up to its description. Owners were very accessible and helpful. Looking forward to a return visit. Thank you for sharing the property.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mill house. The views are beautiful off the back deck overlooking the river. It is a great spot to have morning coffe and spend time enjoying nature. It's a quick bike ride to get to the trails (that are so beautiful). The house was clean and provided everything we needed and more. The hosts were gracious and flexible. We are already planning our return trip.

Great place on the river. Back yard has fabulous views including beautiful flowers. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the yard and bike trails. Slept great, good water pressure in the shower. Beats the local hotel stay 100%. Great communication with host. Will utilize again.

Absolutely TRUST the reviews. This place is small but excellent -- perfect for 2 or 3 adults. Maybe even 4, if everyone gets along. We stayed here for an unexpected event in La Crosse, half an hour away. The drive to La Crosse on the highway that parallels the interstate was smooth and very beautiful. If we visit this region again, we will hope to be able to stay here -- even if La Crosse isn't totally booked, as it was for our trip.

The property is beautiful, clean, quiet and located right in the river. Our stay was too short to enjoy all the amenities it had to offer. Next time, we will allocate more R&R time, especially after a long bike ride.

We were weary and cold after our ride from Elroy when we arrived at Mill House. When we opened the door we were instantly warmed! It is a beautiful, cozy oasis and exactly what we needed that night! Very comfortable! The owners are helpful, kind, and hospitable. Our whole experience was better than expected. We highly recommend this wonderful place (and people).

We enjoyed a mid-October weekend in Sparta at the Mill House. The house has a great location on the La Crosse River with deck to appreciate the view. The house is clean and well equipped, we took advantage of the kitchen for several meals in. The gas fireplace was much appreciated as the evenings and mornings were chilly.
We’re looking forward to a future stay for our next visit to Sparta.

Please tell your cleaning lady to do a better job.. The leather chair there is a registry on the floor with dog hair..The mantle and other things need to be duster..The tub is starting to have a ring around the tub.. Cobwebs hanging in the basement.. The rugs needed to be vacuum..
