Our group of 8 was easily accommodated at this lovely spot on the lake. Boat House is super accessible, not necessarily a given at Rabun. Michael was a great host. Would definitely stay here again.

I enjoy "rustic" lake houses, and I do not expect fine furnishings or a well stocked pantry. But I do expect clean dishes and a full set of silverwear. Almost every baking dish we used was literally dirty (like with food still on it...not just old and worn), and they had almost no spoons. One bathroom was thoroughly clean, but the other had a shower with spiderwebs, mildew, and a tub that took five hours (literally) to drain. Upsides were were the deck, view, and small beach / shallow water for the kids, and Michael was kind and helpful related to getting into the place and renting a boat. To me, the downsides far, far outweighed the downsides.

We had the most wonderful experience Michael the property management is a ten. He read he’d out before and during and was so accommodating.

The location is excellent. Lake Rabun is absolutely beautiful and the outdoor space at the cabin takes advantage of that. The inside is pretty worn and dated, but overall it was a pretty good place to bring the grandkids.

This rustic cabin has a great location on the lake. The cove was the perfect place for the kids to get in and out of the water.

Picture perfect location. The driveway or the lack of was impossible. After getting down the driveway trying to get out was a beast! But, it was worth it.

For those of you that know the feeling of old school Lakemont then this is your spot.

This place was perfect for a fun weekend gathering with our friends! The location was tucked away and the dock/deck was just amazing. Was exactly what we were looking for. Michael, the property manager, was fantastic and helped us with everything and we had also booked a pontoon rental with him which was so much fun!! We had a blast and will hopefully be back again!

Our second stay. The lake and the deck over the boathouse make it a great place. House is not without a few minor issues but it as a great living room looking over the lake and a great porch.

If you're looking for Lake Rabun opulence, look elsewhere. This house is an old school, no frills lake house that we found to be reminiscent of our time we spent growing up on the lake in the 80's and 90's.

Unfortunately, this house is just unloved. It has a ton of potential but needs a lot of work. Other people commented on the road in and I should have taken the warnings more seriously because it took us a long time to get out because we got stuck whenever we tried to leave. Overall, I guess it was clean but hard to really say that with any real conviction because the kitchen is just old and gross. The counters are wood and haven't been taken care of so they were sticky. Around the house there are gaping holes for all kinds of bugs and critters to get in (mouse droppings in the drawers) and we found multiple centipedes and "beetles," etc. The AC works GREAT which is good because you couldn't leave windows open at night because more bugs can get in thru ill-fitting screens. Yes, I DO get that it is the mountains but that makes it all the more important for a house to be sealed well. Every cabinet, drawer and closet is full of old junk and very little of what you need for things like cooking. It didn't have any of the basics like pepper, foil, etc. so if you even think you'll need it, you'd best bring it. If you're a clean freak, this is definitely not the house for you. Once you've survived the road in, the location is great. It is on a small cove with a little beach area which was great for the kids to play and hunt for treasures, etc. The boat house was nice for hanging out but watch out for the wasps nest. The property management were very helpful and friendly and that was a plus for sure!

Perfect porch for coffee in the morning and a board game in the evening! The last road getting there can be bumpy but we made it fine in a minivan!We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Burton. The house was very clean. The boat house is very nice and the lake/beach area is great for kids and pets. Property manager, Michael, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He even set us up with a pontoon rental. Also, we didn't have any problem with the roads onto the property. It was a fun stay.

Everything you need in a comfortable, laid-back lake house. The funkiness is part of its charm and it was super comfortable for us and the dog. We loved it!

Overall we had a wonderful time. The house was nice and enjoyed the lake deck. The ride to the lake house is a bit difficult as the road has washed out somewhat due to all the rain. One review I read stated that the house was a bit outdated. I can handle outdated but not broken appliances. The stove top was missing two burners and the other two are tilting. The toaster only worked on one side and the refrigerator is missing shelf racks in order to hold more items. The grill's bottom was blown out so couldn't use that either. Cooking option were very limited luckily we only had a couple people staying at the house. In addition, the main floor bathroom was out of service so had to climb the stars to use the bedroom bathrooms. It's a wonderful rental but needs some serious maintenance in the kitchen and a new grill.

We loved the lake house property! Fantastic view and swimming area. We loved jumping from the lake house - it was a MUST. Neighbors are all very nice. There are three or four lounge chairs and four regular chairs with a round table on the deck and a picnic table with three benches under cover. The photo on the site does not show everything on the boathouse deck. Unfortunately, the big umbrella was broken. Michael is a fantastic property manager. We rented a paddle board and kayak for four days. He is very quick to respond and made check in extremely simple. I had read some reviews about the driveway and wanted to provide some more feedback. The drive way leading to the property is difficult, but our son's Toyota Camry handled it fine even after two TORRENTIAL rain storms that occurred the last two nights of our stay. (Otherwise, the weather was amazing with full sunshine during our stay). The Camry was parked all week so only came to the lake house and away from the lake house. We also brought a Santa Fe, which did not have any issues. We were familiar with the driveway as we had rented the house across the parking area several years ago. If the vehicle hugs the side of the driveway near the bushes and doesn't stall when going up everything will be okay. The driveway looks about the same as it did several years ago.. There is plenty of plates, serving dishes, pots and pans. The kitchen is very well equipped. There were plenty towels and wash cloths and even some watermelon and other beach towels. We only used a couple of our own beach towels. The washer and dryer are great. If not done yet, please remove the 1/2 bath downstairs and patio umbrella from the listing unless they are fixed. We were counting on the 1/2 bath downstairs as there were 7 of us, but it was not operational the week we stayed. Thank you so much for a great week. We loved the property and will hopefully be back again in 2021.

Had a great time. Beautiful location on lake. Enjoyed the deck over boathouse for jumping in the lake. Nice to have 4 BR so no need for couch sleepers. Kitchen appliances need upgrading, We rented a boat and it was great...it was delivered to house and picked up. We love Lake Rabun.

Lake Rabun is one of our favorite places in the world. It’s a great place to go with family. The house itself has a great layout with a back porch and a very short walk to the boat house. The location is ideal for this lake. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. House was perfect. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Plenty of room for all. Boathouse was close to house and access to and fro very convenient. We will definitely stay here again.

This property was perfect for us! The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the home was large enough for all of our family. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking and the boathouse is great. Michael was very helpful. We enjoyed our time here and will hopefully make this a yearly tradition.

This rental was the perfect 4th of July Lake Getaway for us! Nestled in a private cove, we were near the boat parade but had enough room to safely swim. The house is great for larger groups and the deck was perfect for tanning and swimming. The only drawback is some of the appliances that need to be replaced (refrigerator inside had some trouble cooling). Michael was fantastic and helped our stay immensely!

We enjoyed our stay and had 3 dogs with us who loved the beach! The boathouse has a great view, as does the porch on the house. The house is a little dated, especially the appliances, but they all did work. The dirt road on the way to the house is very treacherous with huge rocks sticking up and deep potholes. Need an SUV! It was a nice get-a-way for a few days.

We had a great time at this secluded property. It was quiet and the lake access is terrific. The road into the property needs significant work, however. We had some challenges getting into the property with a trailer loaded with kayaks.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The boat house was right on the water and the kids loved jumping into the lake from the top of the dock! The road getting to the house is extremely rough. Do not take a car! And SUV is a must. The house was clean but we were the first guests of the season and I noticed several cob webs around. Also, lots of gnats but I think that’s just part of the lake. The property manager was amazing. So responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property for a stay at lake rabun. There aren’t many rentals on the lake!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Rabun. Because of the Coviid-19 situation we had only about half of the people we usually have so we didn’t need a big place. One of our main concerns for this years place was that it be closer to the water and boathouse. This was perfect. It was well situated on the lake and in a little cove. It was only about 12 steps to the boathouse so everyone could spend time together. Michael and Kim Crowe were extremely helpful. We are already trying to check schedules to see about renting from them next year.

This home is all about the location, the beach (for kids and dog), and the general view and charm of the home. The porch and kitchen were very quaint and comfortable! I loved sitting there in the mornings taking in the view with a hot cup of coffee. The kitchen was very well stocked too! It was great the bedrooms were all together upstairs and the beds were comfortable. The age of the home shows a bit in the bathrooms and decor but I will tell you it really gives you that lake feel that is so reinvigorating! I am grateful for our time at this home...Michael was wonderful to work with and we would return in the future! Also, the boat dock was great to dock the pontoon we rented from Bear Gap Outfitters during our stay.
