We enjoyed the special touches of this historic home. We loved taking our pup for walks and viewing the homes in the neiareahistonneighborneighborhood.

Living space was clean and very pleasant. If you are one person or just a couple, this place is perfect for you. Be aware that parking is limited. As stated you can park inside the gate but there is little to no parking available in the area. We did manage to sqeeze our Tahoe into the back yard area, but if we couldn't, we would have had to park around the block. Perfect for a small car. The advertisement can be miss leading due to calling it an Antebellum House. Yes it is an Antebellum House, but you are only renting the downstair area which consists of 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath. The area is spacious having the huge double doors and high ceilings. I wanted to cook for family but the area just wasn't practical for that purpose. I small antique Pie Table with 4 chairs. The table is beautiful but not practical to eat from. 1 couch with 2 dining chairs in a corner in the living area. The kitchen is cute as a button but dishes and cookware was limited for our purposes. It was great having a stacked washer and dryer available. This place may not have suited our needs exactly, but I would definitely recommend it for one person or a couple. It was priced right. The owner left good information for access and use of remotes and lighting. It's had to imagine this home is almost 175 years old. The woodwork is amazing but I certaining wondered what was behind the red front doors and what the staircase may have looked like. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the stay. Really nice to have them provide an umbrella and 2 chairs for the beach as well as bbq pit. It was a fun trip and wouldn't mind coming back to being a guest at this place.

We were very happy with our stay. We walked into a clean, fresh home that was fully stocked with everything you need, from towels, extra blankets, beach chairs to extra charging ports on the night stand, games to enjoy to a well stocked kitchen. They really thought of everything. I mean, there was a "sound machine" next to the bed. We traveled with our 2 pups and the gated yard was a plus for us! The yard was also maintained nicely and the hanging lights were a nice touch at night. We had the privilege of talking with one of the owners Craig who gave us some good suggestions for dinner and let us know if there was anything we needed to feel free to reach out. We were very comfortable there and look forward to our next stay! Thank you

This was a charming, attractive, well stocked apartment, with a cute little shaded back yard. We enjoyed being able to walk to our favorite Wilmington locations as well as discovering new favorites while exploring the city. We were always able to find parking on our block. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is absolutely lovely and inviting. You feel like it was made ready for friends with all the little details throughout the property. Location is great, we could walk downtown and it s a short drive to beaches. Off street parking is easy for a big car, check in and out process seamless. I'm saluting the owners for the great job they re doing making the stay so comfortable and enjoyable for their guests.

We enjoyed this stay as a place to walk towards downtown and around the city. As mentioned in other reviews there is road noise, and some noise from upstairs at times, but it didn’t hinder our sleep. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog along and it was a great neighborhood to walk around and see the historical old houses.

We enjoyed our stay with the location being within walking distance of historic downtown Wilmington. The house had everything we needed and with the owners living on the second floor any issues or questions can be quickly taken care of. The house is located on a fairly busy street so there is some street noise but overall the house was very nice.

We had a wonderful stay! The place is absolutely beautiful .. clean, organized and beautifully decorated with every modern convenience.. even had a sound machine next to the bed!!
The location is perfect too.. we barely moved our car the whole time we were there. Walkable to a vibrant downtown area right on the water.. wonderful restaurants and shops.
We enjoyed a horse drawn carriage ride and also toured the Bellamy Mansion.
Finally, the host, Craig Dye, couldn't have been nicer and communicated with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.
Already looking forward to the next visit!

Great property with an excellent host.
Well outfitted, having use of the Traeger grill was added bonus. Spring time bbqing is great.
Short walk to the historic downtown and do try the Fork and Cork, it was a great recommendation.
There is some street noise but there is a sound machine that works wonders.
Having use of the back deck and yard just made it all the better. We always enjoy Wilmington and this property is a great place to stay. Looking forward to the next time.

I LOVED staying in this beautiful historic home. Everything was perfect. The house is fully stocked and the bed is really comfortable. Craig makes check in and out easier than a hotel. As a single female I felt very safe and it was nice to have a little yard for my dog. The location is perfect. Many places to walk to. I try to come to Wilmington a couple times a year and hope to stay here again if available.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely historic property. We especially liked that we could walk into town so easily, especially with our pups. Craig has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It was nice to be welcomed with some snacks when we arrived. Loved the fenced in backyard too!

This location is about a half mile from the river walk, about 4 blocks from downtown, and plenty of restaurants and breweries nearby. This house has two units, the owner (Craig) and his wife live upstairs. A wonderful neighborhood with friendly people and lots of historic homes. The unit is about 1000 sq ft., with a queen bed and one bath. Fully functional kitchen. We worked remotely for almost a month, solid internet. Craig and his wife are wonderful hosts. If visiting, I would recommend visiting the Bellamy Mansion (about 2 blocks away), and the Bike and Brew tour with Eric is a great time. I would highly recommend staying here.

Listing and photos are accurate. Extremely well-appointed kitchen including spices and condiments. Quality linens, towels and very comfortable bed. Fenced in private yard with trees for shade and deciduous so great sun in winter. As others mentioned can hear street traffic noise in bedroom but the sound machines worked great. Easy walking thru lovely historic district to downtown Wilmington and adjacent Cargo district. Host was terrific-he even helped me resolve a car issue. Great auto lighting from private gate entrance through yard and into house. Highly recommend this property.

Location is phenomenal- close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away to be out of the fray. Lots of thoughtful amenities, everything was labeled well, and our interaction with Craig (the host) was filled with southern hospitality. If we find ourselves visiting Wilmington again in the future, we would definitely be a repeat guest.

Could not suggest this place more. Not only great location to downtown and close to the beach, but the host Craig was fantastic. Very easy communication and Craig was very accommodating when my husband and I had a family emergency come up. The place had everything you could need and was very beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

The location worked very well for walking to all the restaurants, musuem and shopping. We never had to get into our car. The yard was great for our small dog. The host is one of the best we have ever experienced. Everything one needed to know was provided in advance of the stay. We slept well and were quiet comfortable. It was a wonderful visit.

Had a perfect getaway Thanksgiving weekend for 2 + pet dog. An absolutely lovely home, beautifully decorated, with super proximity to food, shopping, and the riverwalk. The hosts have done a wonderful job of "upgrading" this antebellum home to support modern day conveniences. Streaming, wifi, and outlets were readily available. The home was so cozy/comfortable for us..... extremely clean, everything worked, and the host was very responsive. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful historic home within walking distance to the river walk. Enclosed yard was perfect for our little dog. Clean with many amenities. Nice bedding and the reverse osmosis drinking water was appreciated. So excited to use the traeger wood pellet grill for the first time.

You couldn't ask for a better location. Easy walk to historic downtown shopping and restaurants. The only downside is that it sits on a busy street which can be a little problematic at night but easily remedied with the sound machine they have. I didn't find it to be a big deal. The owners have gone out of their way to not only provide everything one could need (even bath salts!) but it was also decorated for Fall. It was exceptionally clean. The neighborhood is safe and quite nice for walking around in. It's very private - to get into the backyard requires a code as does the entrance door which is dead-bolted. Loved it and would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Craig's place for 4 nights, and enjoyed our time immensely! The property is amazing, spacious and well-maintained! We felt like royalty living in this place. The kitchen is well-equipped, we cooked a few meals in there too. We loved the backyard, and our dog did too. Location is phenomenal, walking distance to great restaurants. The neighborhood is fantastic too, we took many strolls and loved the historic houses. Felt very safe too.

We had a great time in Wilmington! The house was very cute and just what we needed. We loved that the back patio was gated in to let our kids play outside without worry. Nice location & close enough to walk to everything downtown. My kids slept on the couch bed and it was great for them, but I definitely wouldn’t put an adult or older kid on it as it wasn’t the comfiest. Our only other complaint is just the bedroom part sits against a heavy traffic road so especially the weekend was very loud through most of the night. So if you’re a sensitive sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs! Overall it was a perfect stay! I would definitely stay here again.

Of all the properties we've rented over the years, we've never felt so "cared for" as we did in this well-appointed home. From the coffee and spices in the fully-stocked kitchen to the extra toothbrushes and faux candle in the bathroom, we felt like special guests here. The antique decorations added to the Victorian charm. We enjoyed morning coffee on the private back patio and dinner al fresco at the bistro table. Comfortable furniture and cozy bed made relaxing a breeze. Awesome central location -- only a few blocks from River Walk. The historic neighborhood was beautiful for taking walks. Just a short drive to the beach and shopping/restaurants. We hope to stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend, and it was absolutely perfect for the two of us! Craig has done a wonderful job maintaining and displaying the historic aspects of this charming home. Craig was very communicative with us and was so kind to offer flexibility during check in and with the approaching hurricane. We walked to downtown Wilmington and drove the short drive to Carolina beach during our stay! Love the fenced in yard area shaded with trees to lounge outside on a hot day! Would definitely recommend this for a single family and would stay here again anytime. Thank you Craig!
