Rien entre vous et l'océan au sommet des falaises de la réserve marine de Fitzgerald le long de la côte du comté de San Mateo. A quelques miles de Half Moon Bay, à quinze minutes de l'aéroport de San Francisco, une retraite paisible dans notre communauté côtière de Moss Beach.
Vous avez trébuché, sur un océan de propriété front de mer incroyable. Ce Half Moon Bay, Cottage est luxueusement meublée avec nos clients le confort et l'intimité de notre priorité. Se endormir et se réveiller 30 pieds de l'océan Pacifique est comme un rêve. Il vraiment, ne va pas beaucoup mieux.
Ne convient pas aux jeunes enfants, il y a une falaise de 40 pieds à la plage ci-dessous, à la fin de notre propriété.
Le, jardin partagé a un foyer à gaz, avec une section de salon donnant sur l'océan. Rien entre vous et l'océan Pacifique expansive. Cette zone est partagée entre nos deux chalets, situé assez loin des chalets d'avoir votre temps privé avec les belles vues sur l'océan.
Il y a 2 gîtes séparés sur cette propriété. Ces deux chalets ont été construits en 1906, visité par Jack London. Ils ont tous deux été conçus pour tirer pleinement parti des vues sur l'océan, vous êtes en mesure de voir l'océan à partir de chaque espace vivant à l'intérieur de chaque maison, y compris chaque lit king confortable.
Le lit king de luxe est un coussin en cuir haut roi lit blanc avec une mousse à mémoire ajoutée pour une nuit de sommeil incroyable. Nos clients se répètent les uns des autres, comment visiter cette proximité de l'océan est relaxant, rejuvinating pour le corps et l'âme. Vous ne pouvez pas être plus près de l'océan, à moins que vous campez sur la plage ci-dessous.

Dans une minute de la porte d'entrée de votre capable de marcher à la plage en contrebas. Explorer les bassins de marée à marée basse est une autre activité, porter des chaussures robustes. Vous pouvez prendre un facile 5 minutes randonnée à travers une forêt Cypress 100 ans magique au-dessus du Refuge Marine. Ce 5 min. randonnée mène à une autre belle plage de sable calme à explorer. Un autre 5 minutes à pied du restaurant Distillery situé sur une falaise surplombant l'océan, avec la légende de la Dame Bleue.
La proximité de notre chalet à randonnée, plages, port et restaurants est à moins de 3 miles. Il y a une piste cyclable pavée / de marche du port de Princeton à Half Moon Bay le long des belles plages de la côte (environ 10MI long). Notre proximité de San Francisco, le Wine Country ou Monterey, il est facile pour une excursion d'une journée dans toutes les directions dans la baie de San Francisco.
Après une journée d'activité, il est étonnant de siéger au Foyer au gaz et regarder le soleil grésille dans l'océan Pacifique avec votre boisson préférée à la main, une couverture confortable chaud et du pain grillé, à un autre jour à la plage!

If you love the ocean and cool, refreshing air, this is the place for you! I booked to get away from the crazy hot temps in the valley, and was not disappointed. The view is spectacular, and the location is perfect - a short walk to the marine preserve where there are harbor seals resting and tidepools, and also a beautiful cypress forest. There are lots of beautiful coastal walks nearby, plus so many options for hiking and biking. The property is well-maintained, and the cottage has all the amenities, in terms of cooking items, soap, paper towels, lotion, etc. The decor is cute, and even the dishes aren't your ordinary white plain ones - they have some colorful flair. There's a pitcher of filtered water in the 'frig (although he tap water seems good to me too) There is free on-site laundry. Even an embroidered robe to borrow for the month! the owners are very nice, quick to respond to Qs, but not intrusive. I have already booked for next year!

The view from this cozy cottage is spectacular! The cottage is very comfortable and well stocked. We experienced beautiful sunny days perfect for long walks along the coastline at Pillar Point. We also had a few stormy windy days from the historic CA weather systems! It was a wonderful month and we look forward to returning next year.

We spent the months of January and February in the cottage. It is charming, well-designed, and well-appointed. We were both working from home during this time, and we were able to make simple offices out of a desk at the back of the cabin and the dining table at the front. The setting is the most magical part of the whole experience. The cottage is just steps from a cliff overlooking the wild Pacific Ocean, with a nice landscaped garden in the foreground of the view. There were unprecedented storms during our stay, which brought torrential rain, winds, and power outages. Carol and Jerome were so kind in ensuring that we were comfortable during these days. On calm days, which would be much more common typically, the private cottage deck and shared bench and tables are wonderful places for a picnic or drink while watching the sunset. We were able to park just outside the fence and plug in our car to an exterior outlet. The neighbourhood is quiet and exceptionally friendly, which we discovered during daily dog walks. We loved this place and hope to return!

We spent a month there with our 2 dogs. We had forgotten what it was like to hear the surf as you slept. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything we needed. The horseshoe reefs below the cottage are incredible. Our pups loved the walks to Pillar Point. Carol and Jerome are great hosts. Breakfast at The Press in El Granada is farm to table excellence and the bar at Ketch Joanne gives local color. If you like beer and dogs, Hop Dogma is bomb.

Awesome retreat by the ocean.
We enjoyed our one month stay in this quiet spot with tremendous views. The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the area. Plenty of restaurants within 15 minutes for take out. We cooked for ourselves in the kitchen and we had everything we needed. Thank you to Carol and Jerome; our gracious hosts.

A little piece of Heaven
I was in awe every day of my stay at this gem by the sea. The pictures don’t even begin to capture the absolute beauty of this place. I slept every night with the sliding glass door open so I could hear the sound of the waves. The cottage is so beautifully decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable and I had everything I needed for a months stay. I work from home so was pleasantly surprised to find there was even a desk in the back perfect for me to setup my computer. My hosts, Jerome and Carol, were there whenever I needed something but always gave me my privacy. Carol was even gracious enough to help me in setting up an afternoon barbecue for a group of friends one weekend. You will not be disappointed. I will be back one day.

Amazing location, GORGEOUS cottage, great value!
We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a full month, and could not have been happier. The views from the cottage were unbeatable. The cottage itself was adorable, clean, and very comfortable. Perfect amount of room for a couple. Carol and Jerome were fantastic hosts! When we arrived there were fresh flowers and champagne in our cottage. What more can you ask for?

Great stay!
We stayed here in November of 2014. This is a great cottage. The lady owner was gone but her husband and son took care of us. One of the best views I have ever seen. Had great walks through the nearby cypress forest and marine refuge. Bought great fish and mussels at the nearby market at the harbor. Cooked out on the gas grill and hung out at the fire pit every night. Property is totally enclosed at end of road right off Highway 1 in Moss Beach. About 30 minutes to airport. Little store is one minute away with great wine selection. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Would definitely go back to and visit again. Oh yes, go to the restaurant at the local airport for the best breakfast in the world!!

Subtle Perfection
Sweeping ocean views, with spectacular sunsets. A peek over the property edge will bring the neighboring tide pools into view... seals...pelicans....and people exploring the environs -- 50 feet below.
If you are fortunate enough to find an opening for this peaceful slice of perfection, do not hesitate.
While modest in size (estimate ~400 sf, excluding deck), design in layout and appointments are perfect for the property (Driftwood Cottage). It balances upscale and comfort while avoiding any sense of fussiness.
Our hosts were gracious and welcoming -- they provided restocking of paper supplies as needed along with fulfilling some miscellaneous requests. All low key and efficiently.
Just what we were looking for --and the best vacation in the area we've ever had.
We've spent time in HMB each summer for the past 4 years--having stayed at the Beach House, Cypress Inn and Landis Shores -- with a priority on the "ocean front" experience. By far, this property offered the best atmosphere, views and overall comfort. We were actually sad to leave.

this cottage is quite clean and had everything we needed for a 3 day stay. The fire pit was enjoyable particularly since it is on the bluff just above the ocean. Easy access to the beach a few blocks away where the seals relax and play. The bed is quite comfortable and the kitchen, although small had everything we needed and was pretty well stocked with essentials. Plenty of space for the luggage and clothes. The deck is quite nice but the chairs closer to the bluff were too alluring to use the deck. Carol is a great hostess and even made cookies for us when we arrived - warm from the oven. We would definitely return. I would pick this over their other unit.

Lovely Cottage!
I stayed at the cottage with my 2 adult kids and we had a blast! The cottage was perfect...it was so cute, clean, well-equipped kitchen and we had chocolate chip cookies waiting for us at our arrival :) ! The central location was perfect for us as we planned to spend time in San Francisco, Big Basin Redwoods State Park and, of course, at the beach...very nice, I highly recommend this location!

Perfect Beach Front Getaway
What a wonderful location and cottage. Very clean and stocked with anything you would need. We celebrated our 30 year anniversary while watching an amazing sunset right outside the cottage. The sound of the waves while laying in bed can't get any better! The owners were very nice and even accommodated my daughters special request by leaving a bottle of champagne in our room and delivered some wonderful warm chocolate cookies.

Amazing Cottage !!!
We stayed at Driftwood Cottage from June 17th to June 20th 2014. it is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the VIEW of the OCEAN. the cottage is wonderful better than the photos lots to do and the Distillery restaurant is a must. Sunsets by the fire pit with a glass of wine!! I can't wait to come back next year. Carol is the best hostess there was Warm Chocolate Chip cookies waiting when we arrived. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS COTTAGE!!

If you are looking for a awesome get away, this is the place so relaxing great owners. It is close to everything but not in the crazyness of San Francisco, close enough to go into for a visit. Exceeded All Expectations
As soon as I parked the car and stepped out, the sound of crashing waves and the scent of briny seawater filled my senses. I walked through the private gate and looked to my right...nothing but Pacific Ocean. I looked to my left and there sat the most perfect beach cottage awaiting my arrival. I stepped inside and was in awe...really. Perfectly appointed, beautifully furnished and so very clean. The bed is "to die for" comfortable, with sliding doors that open out to a private deck that overlooks a darling lawn that overlooks the OCEAN! I am a runner...the trails were endless, you are 2 minutes walking form the Fitzgerald Marine Trail's (sp). My favorite restaurant is the Moss Beach Distillery...I walked to it! I slept like a baby...this cottage is located in a charming and quiet beach neighborhood. Very safe. The owners were so accommodating with tips on where to explore, I could go on and on...bottom line. This is my new favorite place and I will be back...very soon!

Beautiful place. Low tide and High tide provide two completely different awesome views. Just a block from the Marine reserve and cypress forest for more great views. Only about 1/2 hour to S.F. for sightseeing there too. Very quiet and relaxing. Carol was an excellent hostess with lots of tips on local places, and even some warm cookies! Spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay here again if I was travelling in the area.

A Relaxing, Rejuvenating Paradise above the Ocean
My week at Driftwood Cottage was all that I hoped it would be and more. An escape from all the stresses of modern day life. On the cliffs above the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve tide pools I watched harbor seals, porpoises, and migrating whales. At the end of each day, I had my own private ocean sunset. I fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and awoke refreshed and ready for another day of hiking along the coast or exploring Half Moon Bay. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I will definitely return!

This is a beautiful little cottage in a quiet location with a gorgeous view. It was very charming, clean and quiet & it was great to be able to cook! The Marine Reserve is close by and there are lots of walking trails. I loved it! I hope to be able to stay there again.

Tranquility by the Sea
I have stayed at the Driftwood Cottage in Moss Beach about four times now with friends and my sister and Aunt and we just love it. The owners Carol and Jerome are so nice and accommodating. You can't get closer to the Ocean with out paying a lot more. It is comfortable, clean, big comfortable bed and quality bedding and very adequate kitchen for a beach cottage since I did all the cooking for my group. You can't beat the view and how close it is to San Francisco where I live. I will return.
