Beautiful home for relaxing and fishing. This was the choice for our annual "guys" fishing trip and the house had excellent accommodations for 5 adults. Would have given all 5-stars except there was initial confusion about sheets for the beds that weren't made. Would recommend this home for anyone looking for a lake get-a-way!

This was the best place to escape. The house was beautiful and had all the amenities of being at home with the beauty of the Mountains and lake. Nothing beats an evening pontoon boat stroll around the quiet lake.

Great place and location on the lake was perfect. Sunsets every evening and the best Northern Wisconsin thunder storms rolled through. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin - especially the gorgeous lake views through the trees. The main bedroom has the most comfortable pillows and mattress we've ever slept on and we're thinking of trying to find the same models for our own home. The bathrooms in the main cabin are very nice and seemed to have been recently remodeled. The tub in the upstairs bathroom is very slippery (even with the mat) so be careful. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and there are plenty of bath and beach towels. It was extremely hot when we were there (95+ degrees in Ashland) and very windy so we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but there was plenty of wood should we have wanted to do so. The mini split seemed to have trouble keeping the main bedroom cool enough for our liking and the ceiling fan in the bedroom was very dusty (isn't everyone's though) so we didn't use it to avoid kicking up our allergies. We ended up moving the box fan in from the porch bedroom and that helped keep us cooler during the night. We didn't get a chance to use any of the water toys - Rave water trampoline, kayaks, paddleboat, or pontoon boat, but all looked to be in nice condition. We only stayed in the main cabin, but the beach house looked quite cute and appeared to sleep several. You'll want to make sure to try fishing off the dock around sunset or early in the day. We caught bluegill, rock bass, and small mouth bass from there. For a break from cooking, Iron River Pizza Parlor delivers to the cabin and is only a few miles away :-)

We had a lovely vacation here and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and water. The stars at night are incredible!

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, and it never disappoints. The owners are responsive and helpful, and the property is amazing. If we are lucky enough to stay again, we may look into renting a small rowboat for one person fishing, for when the awesome pontoon boat isn't needed. Note: There is a paddle boat and kayaks onsite that the younger folks used to fish in. Truly a fantastic home and host!

Fantastic cabin! We had a great time snowmobiling and hanging out at the cabin! Looking forward to another trip next year

Great place for us to stay. Very comfortable and everything you would need to cook with was there. Comfortable beds and very clean. Been there before will again. Can’t wait to try it in the summer for fishing.

This property was everything we wanted and more! Truly exceptional property/amenities, and owners very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again if available and agreeable to owners!

This was our 2nd year in a row here. It is perfect. It has everything one would need in a vacation!

Rented this property for a summer family vacation and are so happy we did! Cabin is cozy but spacious. Loved the kitchen table/benches and the oversized couch in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Everything was very clean! The outside grill was large and easy to use. The small air conditioning unit did a great job of keeping the place cool, and there are ceiling fans in every bedroom, making for comfortable sleeping. We were warned that the back bedroom may get hot but we kept the door open and had no issues with that. The lake house was a great addition. Our college aged sons were able to sleep there and stay up late, while we older folks were able to go to bed earlier without disruptions. It was wonderful to have the extra space for everyone to do their own things during the week. The lake is great! The frontage is perfect for swimming and the teenagers and twenty-something’s enjoyed the Rave. Lots of great photos and smiles! We did utilize the pontoon boat on two of the days that we were there, and we enjoyed cruising the lake and doing some fishing. The wrap-around deck was beautiful and the outdoor furniture was very comfortable to enjoy early mornings and a nap in the afternoon. Our group traveled to Bayfield to pick raspberries - a quick, scenic drive. Others in our group enjoyed the local golf course. Iron River is a very short drive and had a wonderful farmer’s market. We were able to quickly grab last-minute items at the dollar store in town, as well. The gas station had a good selection of fishing bait. We only have one very small, minor complaint. The property has lawn sprinklers that are set on timers... we had started a fire in the fire pit and were getting ready to roast marshmallows when the sprinklers came on! It was a quick dash to get out of the way without getting soaked and we never did get to roast our marshmallows. A very minor inconvenience, and we actually all got a big laugh out of it! My suggestion would be that they set the timer to that set of sprinklers for during the morning instead of early evening? We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! We highly recommend this property to others! We hope to return again.

We were overly happy with our stay!!! The location and seclusion was beyond amazing. I spoke with the girls and we hope to rent this property next summer for a whole week and bring all the families together for a fun and quiet week away from all the crazy that life provides. I cant say enough about the time there, I didnt want it to end.

Amazing place for a family vacation!

This is really more of a lake house than a cabin. It is beautiful, with a great deck, plenty of seating, lots of space to spread out, and an amazing location on a crystal clear lake, not to mention all the modern conveniences you could ask for. We would definitely come back again!

Went there for a fishing trip with my son and 4 other people. Mother Nature was not really cooperative (we got pounded with unbelievable rain) but we did manage to get out and fish each day we were there. Caught a tone of bluegills, bass - small mouth, large mouth and rock bass. Place was clean and orderly. We loved the view. Stephanie the owner was very good with the communications. I would go again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact we will try and get there again next year.

Everything was absolutely perfect!!!

AMAZING!!! this cabin and location is perfect for a family vacation. Our family of nine had plenty of room, we loved the large table that allowed us all to sit around the table together as a family. The cabin had all necessary items plus many extras. The pictures do not due it justice. Its very close to the lake which is very clear with no weeds and the kitchen and living room is much larger than it appears in pictures. Stephanie responded and answered all our questions very quickly. I can not think of or would not change a thing about this place.

My family of 10 had a most fun filled and relaxing time at the Geary's cabin on Hart Lake. The cabin was clean, roomy and open; and the beach house was a perfect place for my 2 married daughter's and their husbands. We had plenty to do on the beautiful, clean, clear lake with the Geary's pontoon which we rented for several days, the kayaks and 2 rental canoes from a local outfitter. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming as the water is just wonderfully clear and cool; and each evening enjoyed quiet paddles around the larger lake system seeing the native plants and wildlife. The Geary's cabin had all the necessary items for cooking and grilling meals, comfortable sleeping areas, plenty of places for a large group to find quiet moments as well as lots of family fun together. Also, the sound of the loons in the evening was just magical. My family and I hope to return to this beautiful property next year. This is the wonderful cabin to relax in for a day a week or an entire summer. This cabin is well stocked with everything you may need for your stay. The pictures on line do not do it justice. It is bigger than the pictures show. The beds are comfortable. The beauty around the cabin is amazing. We had loons calling on the lake morning and evening. We had two fawns scamper through the property several days we were there. It is quiet solitude. There is TV and DVD's if you want, but why would you when you have the beauty of nature all about. The lake is one of the clearest lakes we have been on. The cabin was a great find for us and we will book another stay next year.

We literally booked this home the same week we arrived. I had never used HomeAway and after staying at this wonderful home nestled on some beautiful land, they've set the bar high! From the moment you drive down the tree lined street and driveway, to seeing this home set on a gentle hill that overlooks the lake, I knew we didn't make a mistake. Once inside, you see floor to ceiling windows and all the comforts of home, right down to little dividers in the bathroom drawers. You can tell the owners take pride in this home. We were blessed to have a foot of snow. It was very hard to leave the place, but if you are there do try to visit the magnificent state parks that are a short drive away. Not only is this a perfect getaway in the summer months, the winter months and this home and location was breath taking. I already miss it!

One of the best properties we've stayed in - fantastic location in the woods! The cabin is beautiful both inside and outside. Nicely furnished interiors, spacious, lovely living room and kitchen, cute and comfortable bedrooms... it's very clear that the owners take great care of the property. The outside has a beautiful setting overlooking the lake... we were there while it snowed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Can only imagine how fun it would be in the summer!

What a fantastic place! We traveled to Iron River with our daughters and my parents all the way from Southern California and could not have had a better experience. The property was gorgeous, the views were incredible and the amenities were everything that I had hoped for. We loved every aspect of the trip and only wish we could have stayed longer. We have already booked to return next summer!

Had a wonderful stay. Cabin has every creature comfort imaginable but the woodland setting and being able to snowshoe on a frozen lake guided by only moonlight was magical. Truly an unforgettable experience
