We hoped to get away for a few days and not worry about being around a ton of other people. The house was great and we were greeted with a plate of homemade cookies! There were only a couple other people at the lake where we were swimming and we were the only people at the restaurant we ate it. I would say the trip was a success!

We love renting this house in Cookson. It is the perfect set up for a weekend at the lake. The large covered deck is our favorite place to relax in the evening!

Our stay at the Birchett's lake property was wonderful! The house is incredibly comfortable, clean, warm, and welcoming. It is also located in close proximity to several of the marinas. We rented our boat from Pine Cove Marina and had a great experience. We will likely try to rent this home again the next time we visit Tenkiller. The fresh chocolate chip cookies upon our arrival were also a big hit - even with the adult kiddoes. Thanks!

I brought a group on friends and students for a weekend of diving at Tenkiller lake. This home was exactly what we needed. Our host even baked us cookies! The patio was great! There were storms during our stay but we were still able to have our outdoor cookout on the huge balcony patio, where most of us spent our time. The home was clean and furnished with everything one might need. The hosts were helpful and noninvasive. I highly recommend this property for families and small groups. Thank you!

Great space. Clean and well cared for. Had 2 adults, 3 teens, and a toddler and it was a perfect space for everyone when we got rained out at the lake. Fresh cookies waiting at check in and everything you could need in the house! Perfect for family time.

We were there for a family reunion and the home was great for entertaining family before and after the reunion. The decor was very well done and the covered deck made entertaining so easy. The house was amazing as always! This is our third year to stay here for our annual family reunion. We absolutely love it every time! Linda and David are fantastic to work with and the location is perfect! See you next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! It is very well maintained and clean and in a quiet area. The layout was perfect for our family and we all enjoyed the large covered deck. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our time at the house. The location is beautiful. Our kids loved playing on the yard in the front and finding sticks in the woods. The fire pit area is a great place to hang out. We also liked how there were tables and chairs on every porch. It was the perfect place to play games at night. There are very steep narrow stairs that aren't great for young kids. The boards on the railing on the deck upstairs are also very far apart. It would be very easy for a child to accidentally fall. Other than that the house is an awesome vacation place! The house would be perfect for families with elementary-aged or older kids.

We really had a great weekend. David and Linda have done a very good job on all the upgrades. Very good communication. Hated to come home.

We chose this rental due to our desire for three bedrooms and two baths to accommodate five members of our extended family and also it's proximity to the Cookson area of Lake Tenkiller and the Cookson Bend Resort and Marina. All family members were very pleased with the comfort, exceptional maintainence, beautiful and restful setting, pleasant grounds and overall thoughtfulness on display at this charming house. Additionally, David was most accommodating. We felt totally at ease with just the right combination of privacy and proximity to the Lake and the lovely town of Tahlequah.

No surprises from the description of the house; it's clean and well maintained. It's a little hard to find if you're trying to use GPS navigation, but the directions David sends you will get you right to it. Proximity to Cookson Marina is excellent (3 minute drive maybe?). We loved the fire pit area and deck, and the property was landscaped and well kept. A lake view would have been fantastic, but this place had everything else. Very good experience for the whole group.

This property and the owners are absolutely PERFECT! Everything about the house was immaculate and ready to go for our stay. There were fresh baked cookies on the counter, candy machine filled, glasses in the freezer waiting to be filled with beverage of choice, full functioning kitchen so we could make our dinner and snacks, and a DVD player so we could watch our scary movie before turning into bed. Amazing game room downstairs and enough room for all of us to sleep comfortably. But the best feature this property has to offer was the deck on the 2nd floor that stretched the length of the house. 80% of our trip was spent on this deck. One morning it was raining and we sat with our coffee, blankets, and breakfast and visited for hours. The night before it was warmer and we sat outside and ate our dinner, played cards, and again-visited for hours! Already have plans to book again!

Really enjoyed this home. They have added a lot of personal touches to make you feel at home. The deck is wonderful! The hammock was so relaxing! i loved watching the hummingbirds fly up to the deck! The fire pit was perfect! The only negative was there was no lake view.

Beautiful! This was a very comfortable house for my kids, grandkids, and me. Everything was available and the location is close to lake activities. I especially loved the front deck! There are stairs. If you have toddlers, you might want to pack gate to block the stairs.

It started with the fresh baked cookies on the table when we walked in and the candy machine for the kids ! The place is remodeled nicely and modern and makes for a very comfortable stay, everything you need will be there for you to use, they've thought of everything. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit area and bbq, and all the deck area around the place it's almost impossible to say one spot is better than the other .. Lol .. We visit Tenkiller every summer and we will for sure be staying here every year !

They have put a ton of work in this place and you can really tell. The owners are extremely accommodating and welcoming. The amenities are fabulous and the scenery is fantastic! My family and I had a great night enjoying the large deck. Really wanted to try out the fire pit, we just ran out of time. Our family reunion is in Cookson every year and we plan on staying at this property on a recurring basis! Can't wait to go back!!

Owner was very helpful if we needed anything. The house was recently remodeled and gorgeous. The landscaping is well put together with nice patio areas. Definitely considering going again and staying at the same place.

Our stay here was fabulous. Fully stocked with amenities, amazing porches and easy access to the lake. The home itself is beautiful, a wonderful retreat in the woods. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, and peaceful surroundings. A true home away from home feel. I wish we had more time to spend here!

This is a clean and spacious home to stay in with close proximity to the wonderful Lake Tenkiller. We were very comfortable in the house. It has a great kitchen, clean bathrooms, and even a place to wash a few clothes if you need to. The large porch was a great place to sit in the evenings. We enjoyed playing cards on the porch and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to spend a weekend. This is the best place we have stayed on Lake Tenkiller.
