The property is great! It is clean and the pool was wonderful. My family rents houses every year in the Cape Coral area during the holidays so we have stayed in several. I would stay here again. The neighborhood is quiet and everyone is friendly.

This is a great little town with lots of shops and waterfront restaurants.

Loved our stay here. The house is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Owners are responsive and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet. The little produce market nearby has great smoothies and Cuban sandwiches.

We loved, loved, loved this place! Matlacha is a quaint little town, and the neighourhood where the house is located is nice and quiet. The house itself is spacious and has all the necessary amenities at your disposal. We really enjoyed the local restaurants Micelli's and Bert's Bar & Grill. Paul and Petra were graceful and responsive hosts. We highly recommend this place to other people and will definitely come back.

Matlacha is a wonderful, quirky little town that marries flower-child vibe with a down-to-earth angler’s paradise. This lovely home made exploring it a dream! Very comfortable beds and couches, the most attentive hosts imaginable, and a yummy heated pool for relaxing, all contribute. There’s no close beach without a drive, but a sunset cruise on the canals, a warm, mineral springs an hour away, and the freshest fish you’ll ever grill, make it a very, special, one-of-a-kind vacation! We enjoyed our month in this beautiful home. The area has everything you would want. Lots of wonderful restaurants and places you can buy fresh seafood to fix yourself. Matlacha is a quirky little artsy town to explore. Love everything about the house and area.

Our family stayed at the Blue Lagoon for the holidays. The house is warm and relaxing. We felt very comfortable and the house was extremely clean. The kitchen is well stocked with beautiful dishes, glasses, and cookware. By far the best rental we've ever rented with VRBO. Enjoyed sitting outside by the pool. The patio and dock area are well landscaped with great outdoor furniture and cushions. Great neighborhood with a grocery store about a mile down the road. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this rental. Thank you!!!!

Overall, this was a pleasant and comfortable stay. Fish were jumping and the temperatures in Matlacha were in the 70-80's all week. It was nice to have a place with a pool and a dock to increase our viewing of the tranquil neighborhood and canal life. Loved being close to the local restaurants and art galleries of Matlacha as well as local necessities like Publix and other stores. Loved the fun colors and decorations.

Had a lovely relaxing vacation at The Blue Lagoon. The house is well equipped, everything you could possibly need and a great location. Restaurants, art galleries and stores all very close by. The house is very comfortable, would highly recommend this property.

This house is beautiful. The interior decoration is really fun and so so pretty. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you could want. Couches, chairs, beds, loungers, lanai seats are all incredibly comfortable. Paul and Petra are very responsive (even on Christmas day!) when we had questions. Then, on top of the beautiful house with the kitchen and the tv and the comfie couches and the decor and the screened in lanai with the ceiling fan....is the PRIVATE HEATED POOL. We swam in that every morning and every night. It was delightful, as was sitting on the chairs on the dock and watching the little fish in the canal. Matlacha is a cute town (and every server at every restaurant was GENUINELY NICE) and there are some fun walks with beautiful views to be had there and on Pine Island and Sannibel. (Although traffice is HORRENDOUS going to Sannibel, so factor that in if you drive). It was one of our best, most relaxing, vacations. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing, relaxed, homely stay at the Blue Lagoon. The description on the website is spot on, but the pictures do not do this place justice. The bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting areas are clean, bright, airy and quirkly decorated (but tastefully). The kitchen has everything you need so we enjoyed cooking there and eating in the dining room. The lania overlooking the excellent swimming pool was wonderful, watching the sunset and the odd electrical storm was great. Plenty of toys in the garage for the pool, along with sunloungers and table/chairs. Down at the water side, more chairs to allow you to watch the birds at play, and we had the joy of seeing mother and calf manatees. Fishing was good and it was a short walk back to the huge fridge for beers. Laundry room was at the side of the kitchen, both items appeared brand new. We had fun on the bikes supplied. Eating locally in Matlacha is fun, Berts, Sandy Hook and the italian were used. if you to travel further, we used Uber Taxis to RumRunners at Cape Coral Marina, excellent and the taxi was $28 return, very cheap. Ensure you go to Sanibel Island, and visit the single shop at North Pine Island for quirky gifts. The fleamaster fleamarket at Fort Myers is different and worth a visit if the weather isnt sunny. Paul and the property manager infrequently contacted us to ensure all was okay. We felt at home within hours and this is one of the best houses we have ever rented, I know its the usual 'we will be back', but we will be in 2018. There was only two of us, but it would be great for kids or 4 adults. Thanks Paul for allowing us to stay.

We have just returned from a week at the Blue Lagoon. We had an amazing time. We kept our boat at the dock on the lift and fished the area most mornings and spent the afternoons in the pool. Shopping at the local shops was very fun and interesting. The local artists are amazing. The house is very spacious and complete with everything you could need. The furnishings and design around the house are over the top. Very well done. We are already planning a trip back.

We just returned from 2 weeks at the Blue Lagoon in Matlacha. This was a very comfortable house with all the necessary furnishings. We especially enjoyed the screened in back patio. We had our morning coffee every day while enjoying the wild life. Our friends joined us the second week we were there. Rented a boat for a day and went to Barnicle Bills on an island for lunch, stopped by Caya Coasta for some shelling, and sight seeing. Rented Kayaks just a few miles down the road in Matlacha. The owners are great people and attend to your every need while there. We hope to be back for another visit. Thanks for a great experience.

This house is precious! The owners have really taken the time to make it feel inviting. Love the next door neighbors on either side super nice. Enjoyed kayaking right from their dock and the pool was refreshing. We made this trip to look at potentially purchasing a home for ourselves and this was centrally located for all our needs. Would definitely stay again!

My husband and I stayed for a week at The Blue Lagoon and just loved it! We spent most of our time outside enjoying that gorgeous view and I the pool. The house has everything you could wish for and then some! Paul was an absolute pleasure to work with -- nice guy! We had a great week and plan to visit Matlacha next year. Awesome area with much to do! Paradise!!

This place is awesome. This place is as beautiful as the pictures showed and was well maintained. It felt like home the minute you walked in the door. The place had everything you needed for a great vacation. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook and the bathrooms were well stocked. The back patio with the pool was beautiful. The location was great, not far from Sanibel. We will definitely consider renting this place again and refer this place to others.

Property is very well equipped, and met all our vacation needs. We spent almost everyday in the wonderful pool and explored the variety of restaurants at Matlacha and Pine Island. If you are looking for Disney World, this is not the place for you. Very small community and everything is very laid-back. The only problem, is that I believe it's already booked for next year! Thanks to Paul and Karin for their attention to all our questions.

Fantastic property inside and out. You will not be disappointed for the pics on line truly live up to your expectations. We felt at home immediately and slept well on a very comfortable bed! The heated pool was a dream in the variable weather we had this last February. My husband not only had fun fishing off the pier but additionally took advantage of the many charters offered in the area. We enjoyed many relaxing days at the Blue Lagoon but also enjoyed the abundance of resturants and fun activities in the area. A most memorable vacation!

We loved Matlacha and ventured out to a few other islands. Went deep sea fishing and caught some nice fish. We would love to come back someday! Thanks again!

This home is fantastic. Mu husband and I totally agreed we could live here. It is first class. The home is beautifully decorated and fully equipped and even has bicycles. We really enjoyed the pool and fishing from the dock. The restaurants in Matlacha are very good and some even have entertainment. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent a week here in the summer and LOVED this home. It's the cleanest and best equipped vacation rental that we've stayed in so far. The pool was perfect for beating the heat and the wi-fi is super fast. Add to that a very comfortable bed and you can't ask for more!
