This is a cute tiny cabin set in a gorgeous natural forested neighborhood. The two queen bed are in the upper floor accessed thru a steep ladder like stair. The mattress and sheets have seen better days however. This cabin could really use a kitchen replacement but we didn’t do any cooking at all in our two days there..

Only one photo of the cabin's interior shows a little bit of the ladder that goes upstairs. If you have problems climbing a ladder without handrails think twice about renting this cabin. No handrails, and no safety gate/barricade at the top of the ladder.
I used battery powered lantern-style lights to light up the ladder at night. It would have been easy to step from the upstairs floor to the first ladder rung at night.
If you cannot hold your bladder at night, think twice about renting this cabin. There is no bathroom upstairs. There is no sofa-bed downstairs to make bathroom trips more convenient at night.
The shower nozzle pressure was too strong. It blasted water under the shower door, that did not seal at the bottom, onto the bathroom floor.
The door from the living room to the outside deck would not open.
So just think about your physical capabilities prior to renting this unit. It is located in a beautiful forested area.

We came up to the Mt. Baker area to scout out some day-hike trails so that in late Sept the five of us seniors will know if we've selected appropriate trails. We think we found two good ones today.
I fear you may need a more complete description of the stairway or ladderway: a handicapped or elderly or awkward person may get hurt on that ladder (I wouldn't call it "stairs". Also, kitchen lights: I needed the flashlight on my phone to work the microwave and the electric oven. I applaud the plentiful ice supply, though we didn't use it. I saw the coffee beans (nice!) but was there a grinder? We brought our own coffee, so no big deal for us. The comforter and sheets were too warm. Electrical outlets in the bedrooms were inaccessible. Very generous firewood supply which we didn't use. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Plenty of hot water for two. Didn't use the hot (warm) tub.
Pete asked us to call him one hour away from Bellingham. But we lost his number. But Pete CALLED US(!) in plenty of time to make the key exchange and his face to face instructions were clear, concise, accurate and didn't overfill my brain. And very friendly.
For two people or two couples, I'd stay there again until I'm too old and infirm to handle the ladder.

Beautiful little cabin, the best part was the ceder soaking tub. After a long day of hiking it was amazing to come back and relax in it.

Clean and comfortable in a gated forest community of beautiful cabins. Short drive to Mt. Baker and all the hiking trails/ski trails depending on your desired season. Excellent communication from owners. Cedar hot tub with a gazebo is an excellent place to soak and enjoy the weather - rain, snow, or shine. It feels remote, but there are three restaurants and a small general store within a couple miles. We enjoyed our time.

We had a wonderful time at Pete and Kathy's place. We were very comfortable and loved the outdoor patio, which was great for dining and playing board games. Their place is also well situated for hikes and day trips. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a few days in the Glacier area.

This place is really stunning both in terms of the location and the property itself. It is so well cared for, and very comfortable. The owners went above and beyond when a technical issue happened before our arrival. They were so communicative. We could not have asked for a better stay.

Charming Cedar Chalet with Amazing Cedar Soaking Tub is clean, cozy, comfy, cute, and a great location for our planned activities of hiking Heliotrope Ridge Trail and exploring family history in Welcome Valley (Deming). The cabin had everything we needed for our two-night stay. The soaking tub was the perfect temperature and so relaxing! Host communication was excellent. My husband brought his laptop and hooked up to the Wi-Fi in the cabin with no issues. Some things to be aware of, there was minimal (none for us) cell phone reception in Glacier. Might want to check with your carrier before you go to ask about data roaming options. If you want to watch TV, you’ll need to use your account (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) so bring your login/password info. If you are going to hike, check WTA or similar apps for information. The road off Mt. Baker Highway to Heliotrope Ridge is super close to the Snowline entrance, but it’s another 8 miles to the parking lot/trailhead, on a one-way road riddled with potholes. It took us about half an hour in our car. The views of Mt. Baker and glaciers was worth it, but my leg muscles might beg to differ for a few more days … I recommend this rental and would stay again if in the area.

Absolutely loved this cabin. It was a perfect stay in a nice quite area but to far from mount Baker. Also had a very good pizza place right down the street. Would 100% recommend staying here. Communication with the owner was excellent.

My husband and and I enjoyed our stay here for our anniversary. It was just the right size for the two of us and the location was great. We enjoyed being able to drive to close hiking areas, walking around the community the place is located and just enjoying the wonderful views. Being able to soak in the tub after a day of hiking was icing on the cake. The hosts were wonderful in meeting up with us to provide the keys and other instructions for our stay. Would definitely put it on our list of places to go again.

Super cute A frame in quiet leafy gated community. Hot tub was lovely after walks. Also loved the wood heater. Note no condiments or tissues.

My wife and I had a great time at the chalet. It was well appointed with many small touches that enhanced its charm. The wooden soaking tub was a particular highlight and was very relaxing. Communication with Pete was easy and he provided a lot of extra context for the area so we were well prepared getting up the mountain.
Since we stayed midweek, it was very quiet and hardly saw anyone else. Our only suggestion would be to consider adding window coverings for the French doors and glass front door to enhance privacy as needed.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would gladly return for another stay.

A great cabin! Came here with my BFF to escape mom life for a weekend and it was so great having a beautiful and deep hot tub to relax in and a wood stove to have a cozy fire in the evening. Communication with the hosts was nothing short of top notch! Thank you for a great stay!

This was a great little spot with an authentic old school vibe to it, complete with a cedar hot tub. Perfect for a Mt. Baker mission, the Glacier forest service rd is right across the st.

It is a cute, charming, comfortable place, with several features that make it truly special. It just looks cool, first of all, from the outside and inside, with interesting nooks and crannies, a small place but efficient and plenty big enough for the four of us. The ladder/stairs up to the loft are steep but wide, and our five-year-old handled it just fine, as did my wife and I, his grandparents. The beds are super comfy, with good bedding, and lots of warm blankets. One of the queen beds is in its own private room; the other is adjacent at the top of the stairs with no door, but that was okay. We're family.
There are several heating options, from baseboard to wall heater to wood stove, all of which keep it toasty. There are lots of windows, so the place is full of light. It's not far from other cabins, but we heard no one else while we were there. There is a woodshed full of dry wood and a splitting maul. The deck is spacious and has outdoor lighting. The hot tub was just the right temp, and made of cedar so it had dark water from the resins, but it was obviously clean. Peter and Kathy were genial and easy to work with, and good communicators. We had a truly enjoyable time there, far too short of a stay.

Just enough room to feel cozy with the family. We loved using the fireplace and the hot tub. We played board games and relaxed, without our phones and I pads even!

Everything was perfect! Very cozy and quiet. Really enjoyed the warm fire after snowboarding!

Real nice to listen to rain on the roof in the forest. View out octagon window is nice to sleep by - very snuggly with a bunch of blankets. You don't have to keep a fire ... but it really adds to the experience and is set up very nice to do so. Hot tub is the best ... real deal cedar boards... not fibergalss/plastic!

I appreciated the in person explanation of the cabin and how to get there. Not being familiar with the area it was nice get the personal information.
The cabin was easy to find with the provided map. It was cozy and had everything you need for an easy weekend getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It has a rustic going-back-in-time feeling staying there. It has a cozy front room perfect for lounging and reading a book. The fireplace put out a lot of nice heat. The Weber gas grill cooked up some delicious rib eye steaks. One thing to be aware of if you have young kids or if are differently abled - the stairs are a ladder to the bedrooms and are very steep and the opening at the top of the stairs is wide open. We used a suitcase and cooler to make a barrier at the top of the stairs, for our young kids. It could use some kind of gate to make it kid-safe. The Snowline community was fun to explore and has many nice amenities. We would stay here again and Pete was awesome to work with! Thank you for a great vacation!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay for the two nights we were there! The hot tub is magical and you’re in perfect driving distance from some gorgeous areas. If you’re there during the winter the drive up to picture lake is very worth while as you’ll get some stunning views and the chance to see a frozen lake!

We only had one night in this adorable A frame cabin but it was the perfect spot to land prior to our hike the next day. The owners have thought of everything, and the new cedar hot tub was definitely an added bonus!

Property manager insisted on texting door code at last minute though there is no cell coverage near the property. So I had to drive 10 miles one way to get a signal only to find that he tried to send code to a landline. Big hassle. Also, getting to bedroom loft involved climbing a ladder. Otherwise fine.

We planned to hike a few days at Mt Baker and this property was in a fantastic location for our activities! Cozy and comfortable - met all our needs! A large bag of coffee beans in the freezer kept us caffeinated and happy!
