Great place to stay for fishing.

Enjoyed the short stay hours clean and as listed, family and children enjoyed our very much had all needed amenities.

We have stayed in this house three times over the past few years and as always it has been great! 10 people every one has their own bed, kitchen/ living area accommodate’s everyone with ease. The dock had ample space to tie up 5 bass boat’s, everything thing works like it should. Great place for our fishing group!

We loved everything about the house, from the driveway view, throughout the house, the sun room ( could use an a.c, or ceiling fan) but for the time we were there, the weather was great. The view was awesome

Great place to stay. Even though it was December we had warm and wonderful weather that allowed us to sit outside and that was great! Only negative thing I have to say is we couldn’t find an ironing board.

As usual; another GREAT stay. Year after year the house is always clean and well supplied. Looking forward to next year.

We had a great time celebrating birthdays this weekend. The boys mostly enjoyed fishing off the dock and the women enjoyed conversation on the porch. The house had everything we needed from cooking to watching football to sleeping.

Very well maintained home, nicely stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, utensils etc. Home was very clean and no odors, comfy beds & a quiet, peaceful neighborhood! The kids loved playing with the foosball table and Lincoln Logs lol We enjoyed our 4 day weekend getaway! It was just what we needed Thank you for sharing your home with us. ☺️

Very 70s style but comfortable. Plenty of room/beds for our party of 12. Having two refrigerators was great. The provided linens/towels was a plus and there were plenty of them. Great views, smooth water & easy access to the main lake. The grill does not work. Yard has plenty of room & nice shade in the AM. Having three trash cans to put the trash in when we left was also a plus The Porch is not climate controlled but does have multiple doors to allow a breeze which makes it semi usable. Boat ramp is large enough for a 20 ft boat or a double jet ski trailer & very convenient. A little shallow and too grassy to fish or swim from the dock. Had to rake out the area around the boat ramp to be able to use it, the end of the ramp & beach (which we could not swim at) were covered in about 4-5 feet of vegetation during our visit. Not the owners fault but we were disappointed none the less. Would have been nice to have been notified of the excessive vegetation/grass issue/condition of the water before we rented this home. The Entrance door knob sticks & locks itself, can lock yourself out if no one is inside to help open the door. We took to keeping the key on the porch & not closing the door tight, pushed it closed just so it shut but did not latch. The biggest complaint was the A/C units were both off when we arrived at 6:30 PM & it was 96 degrees upstairs & 86 degrees down stairs. It took until 11:00 PM to get the place cool enough to be comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

What a great place to escape the city! Our family stayed here with our kids’ friends and 2 dogs, with the accomplished goal of unwinding before the school year. While feeling older, the property is very well-maintained and very clean. The sunroom can get very hot, and while there is an exhaust fan, it was infeasible to leave our dogs back there in the summertime. We locked ours up in the AC when we went to Walmart (about 30 mins away) for provisions. If you happen to rent the boat as well, do take note that the nearest marina’s fuel dock is no longer in service. The nearest one we could find was the 3rd one we tried, about a 45-minute ride away at the Marker 79 marina. We topped up right away and then again before leaving.

We were fairly comfortable at this home. We decided to stay despite some issues, but were disapointed in a fIew things. First thing was our first morning. We turned the oven on and smoke bellowed out of it. We had to turn it off and when it cooled down, I had to wipe out the oven with a sponge. Someone had sprayed oven cleaner in the oven and did not wipe it out. This is a self cleaning oven so it shouldn't have been sprayed in the first place. I am 70 and shouldn't have had to do this. The dock looked great but we could not fish or swim due to the high volume of grass. (Not the owners fault) However, the boat ramp was slick with green slime and was very visually unapealing. The tub in the upstairs bathroom has a very spongy bottom and the faucets spun around we had to push in on them to get them to work. Also the bottom was very slick and there were no hand rails to hold onto getting in and out of the tub. On the last morning I was cleaning the vanity and found the bath mat rolled up under the sink. That would have been useful from the first day. All the light fixtures in every room had a film on them. I don't think they have been cleaned in quite awhile. There was a plumbing issue in the upstairs hall bath toliet. We were able to plunge it and got it fixed. The washer/dryer need to be replaced. The dryer does not dry throughly and we had to run it a few times to get things dry. We did not appreicate the note left next to the washer by cleaning crew.

Came for a large family thanksgiving. There were plenty of beds and baths for everyone. However, while the property was ok, the cleanliness of the house was less than subpar. The kitchen cabinets may have everything you need but you’ll spend hours looking for items as they’re no rhyme or reason as to where things are stored, the table must have been added after the fact since it blocks some of the cabinets. The oven does not regulate temperature. Burns everything on the bottom within minutes and does not cook anything on the top. Called the host and let him know that we were concerned about burning our Thanksgiving dinner. His solution was to maybe turn the oven on and off while cooking. Grill didn’t have gas. Sand area by water is basically a large litter box full of cat feces. Host is dishonest. Promised things via text and never made good on his word. Got vrbo involved, and he hung up on them. He’s not trustworthy. Beware of this listing and any other listing with this host.

We enjoyed this stay very much! We had 8 adults, 6 under 6 years old, and two dogs. The small yard and beach area was well used and we loved making memories! :)

We enjoyed our stay. Had a lot of fun. The property owners were easy to get a hold of and very helpful. House needs more care given to the cleaning, but overall a great trip.

This was a great place to stay for people looking to have fun in the water! We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ramp, private dock, and sandy beach! The glassed-in patio was also a nice touch, as we used this space often for meals and relaxing together. This fun retro-decorated house offers multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, making it the perfect for a multi-family getaway. Some minor drawbacks included the lack of screen doors on the patio (mainly this was an inconvenience in the evenings, when it got a little buggy outside), some dresser drawers were difficult to open or broken, and the downstairs toilet make a gurgling sound every so often - we never had any septic issues but it sounded like that might be on the near horizon. The price was great for the amount of space indoors and especially for the water access on Lake Marion. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations and plan to return for another stay in the future!

We enjoyed our trip, there was plenty of parking and sleeping space for everyone. Located in a great area on the lake we will definitely refer people to this property.

We used this to accommodate for a fishing trip. House, parking, view, & amenities are great, and dock offers opportunities for added fishing. Dual social areas plus private bedrooms in homes are an added benefit. Great front and back yards!

Our group of 12 golfers have come to Santee every year for the past 25 The property offers adequate space and a gorgeous setting on the lake that we took full advantage of. We lacked nothing and many a meal was prepared and enjoyed in the great room

Well maintained. Very clean. The screened room across back was great for evening poker.

We enjoyed our stay here. We brought our own canoes, kayaks and fishing poles which made this trip more special and fun. I think we would've been a little bored if we hadn't brought them since the weather was too cold to enjoy the water but, the kids did enjoy the cards games, foosball table the firepit during our stay. We'd stay again for sure

Master "bath" was not separated from the bedroom; it was IN the bedroom. Dishwasher was horrible. We cleaned it, but it still did not clean the dishes. Beds comfortable. Good supplies in kitchen. Nice pier.

A cozy and relaxing location right on the water. Lots of bed options for people to sleep.

The neighbor was very annoying and did not knock just walked in walked in 9:30 pm telling us to turn the music off then he said he know the owner. Spoke with owner he assured us that everything was ok .

Plenty of room to play, kayak and enjoy outdoor space with grandchildren, parents and pets. The oven thermostat was not working and nearly ruined celebration dinner. Dish washer ran for hours. The home was oversprayed with air freshners and was difficult to breath until our 3rd day. Fortunately, weather was perfect and we enjoyed beautiful location outdoors.

Great house on the water. We have 14 guys that play golf on a yearly basis in the santee area. We have rented before from David and will rent in the future.

Dish system blacks out every 15-30 seconds. You might want to address. Otherwise a very nice stay.

My friends and I stayed at this house for a golf trip. This house was clean, very spacious and was in a good location.
