Maison spacieuse à Escalante, Utah. Au cœur de diverses randonnées dans le monument du Grand Staircase, le Bryce Canyon et d’autres parcs nationaux à proximité. Nous vous encourageons également à découvrir les randonnées moins connues dans les régions de Boulder qui sont à une courte distance en voiture: les aventures sont infinies! Nous venons de terminer la rénovation de cette maison pionnière avec de la peinture et des revêtements de sol neufs! C'est une maison qui appartient à notre famille depuis 6 générations depuis sa construction en 1905. Nous adorons parcourir les sentiers à proximité et apprécier votre séjour car les fonds vont à la restauration de la maison et à son maintien par la famille. Nous avons également récemment acheté une toute nouvelle table de jeu pour que vos invités puissent s’apprécier à la maison avec le baby-foot, la piscine et le hockey sur air! Beaucoup de jeux de société et de films sont prêts. Nous esperons que vous aimez votre sejour!
Veuillez noter que nous avons une machine à laver, mais comme la maison est vieille, elle ne dispose pas de connexions pour un sèche-linge. Nous avons une corde à linge à l'extérieur des vêtements peuvent être suspendus pour sécher et des cintres au-dessus de la laveuse pour accrocher des vêtements secs. Il y a aussi une laverie automatique située à 24 km, ouverte 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, printemps-automne.

We really enjoyed our stay! The view from the back yard was awesome landscape. We enjoyed hearing the cattle down the road from time to time, and listening to crickets. It was a real down-home experience.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in Escalante. The house is walking distance to restaurants in town but in a very quiet neighborhood. We had an easy drive to Bryce Canyon National Park as well as close access to Grand Escalante and Escalante Petrified Forest State Park and Posey Lake. The beds were very comfortable and the backyard was nice to relax in and unwind at the end of the day. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to the area!

This very attractive and comfortable house is even better than it looks in the photos. We loved it, loved that it has a history almost as old as the town. Manager was an effective and prompt communicator. House is well equipped. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I wasn't sure what it would be like to stay in a house so old (built around the turn of the century), but it was great. We stayed for around 3 weeks to do all the hikes/camping/backpacking I've been dreaming of doing in the Escalante area. It was the perfect home base for that. The owners have updated enough to make it comfortable (new hot water heater, central heating with Nest thermostat, fiber internet), while preserving the historical charm. You can read about the history of the house and family on the walls and it is very interesting. I brought my laptop and was able to work remotely from the house. The internet speed was great -- I did conference calls, etc. with no issues. The kitchen is pretty basic -- stove/oven are old, but functional, counter space is limited for food prep, but had everything I needed to do some cooking. My only suggestion for the owners would be to replace the TV. It has all the streaming apps on it (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) but the TV itself is SLOW. The internet is fast, so the streaming is not a problem, but just clicking around the apps on the TV is painful. Overall, we had a great stay.

We had a great stay at the unique pioneer house. The house is centrally located and convenient to many great hiking trails. The house is well kept- very clean and well stocked with everyday supplies. We would love to stay again if we return to Escalante.

Very nice historic home, had every thing we needed, comfortable beds, decent kitchen. Lots of nice touches like the petrified wood pieces lining the walkway. Escalante is rural and a little remote which is what we like but town had everything we needed. I recommend this property. Kasia supplied us with lots of valuable tips about the area. Pet friendly.

Our family of 4 spent a wonderful 10 days at the Pioneer House in Escalante. We appreciated the location near many great hikes, comfortable beds, kitchen to cook together, the history of the house, and the fact that our dog was welcome.
Kasia was helpful, friendly, and responsive when we asked to extend out stay- no one wanted to leave! Wifi worked well and there are lots of thoughtful touches throughout. We'll be back!

We were in Escalante to go hiking and the house was located within a hour of all the hikes we had planned. We needed comfortable beds, a functioning kitchen, a clean bathroom and a washer/dryer. The house provided all these. The town of Escalante was very friendly and had a well supplied grocery store, several outfitters and good restaurants. The owner was a pleasure to work with, so all told, we had a great experience.

We were very comfortable with everything at the house. That included sleeping spaces, large dining room for sharing food and playing cribbage, and kitchen for making breakfast and lunches for our outings, the living room was so comfortable for relaxing. Except we were gone all day on adventures The owners were wonderful to work with us when we asked to add another day. So helpful about hikes etc in area. We were really satisfied with our stay and would recommend it for others wanting the experience of this beautiful country. This was the perfect home base

Three of us had a very pleasant stay at this unique home in a relatively quiet neighborhood in Escalante. It was a convenient location to places we wanted to hike, and a nice place to end our day. The beds were comfortable, we could walk to stores and eateries in town, and the home had plenty of space to relax.

We stayed with our toddler at this house. Our daughter loved the swing set. We appreciated the laundry, comfy furniture and kids dinnerware. It’s a great place to make a basecamp for adventures.

This was a great home base for our family as we explored the area. My kids especially liked the foosball & air hockey. It had all the basic amenities and was clean and cozy. Host was very helpful in suggestions of hiked and things to do in the area. Would stay here again.

The location and the house were great. We had a very nice stay, checking out some local hikes and scenery and also hanging out at the house or in the yard. The kids enjoyed foosball and corn hole. The house was very well stocked with plenty of supplies (towels, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, etc.). Fun to see the house history!

This house is a quite large, 1400 sqft property with 3 bedrooms and 4 beds (master has a king and a queen). I believe there's also a mattress. The kitchen is big and has all you need for cooking. Separate dining area where there are a lot of games. The living has recliners and Netflix, which was a plus when you travel with children.
Located walking distance to the grocery store and very close to all the natural wonders Escalante Staircase has to offer.
It was very clean on the high surfaces, but the floor was not. Luckily, there's a vacuum, mops and swifers, so we cleaned at arrival.
The property accepts pets, which is another plus.
Be aware of the property prices and all the charges if you need to make any changes or alterations to the original reservation.

I loved the way the house was decorated. The kids loved the yard and all the games! The beds were comfortable which was a plus. Plenty of options for sleeping arrangements which was also fantastic. The newly remodeled bathroom was great.
My only complaint was the smell. Once I unplugged the glade plug ins and opened the windows it was fine. Some people are into that wr just happen to be a scent free family :)

My daughter was at Turn About Ranch and this was the perfect location for us to stay!
Washer AND dryer and pretty much anything you need. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower was also very appreciated!

We loved the property, the central air was a nice surprise when we got there. The property was central to the national parks great fishing hiking and just relaxing in the middle of nowhere. We loved reading about the history of the family and seeing treasures throughout the house from past generations.

Oldie, but goodie
House: 2 to 3 stars compared to many other VRBO properties we have stayed in. Experience: 5 stars. Would have loved to have seen this when the upper floors were in use. We appreciated that whole house A/C has been retrofitted. We did not appreciate the the internet service. It was slooow.. We got better service using our AT&T cell service. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves.

The house is clean, spacious and full of local history. Bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen are nice, clean and well equipped. Sitting space is bright and peaceful. Town offers good food and plenty of outdoor activities within 5-30 min drive.

Great Escalante Getaway
Charming and spacious property. Great floor plan with three bedrooms. Perfect for families, large or small. Loved the old-style architecture complete with wooden floors, large windows, and transoms above the interior doors. Comfortable furniture, nice kitchen, and a big wooden table in the the large dining room (or maybe what was once called a parlor). On a quiet street within walking distance of town (or certainly a very short car drive). We used it a base camp to enjoy all the beautiful local hiking and outdoor adventures. Escalante, and the surrounding area, is 5-star scenery. Scenic Highway 12, which runs right through Escalante, is incredible. Nice dining choices in Escalante. The property manager, Kasia, was very responsive and offered lots of good information. There is an amazing history to this house which is well documented on the living room wall. I would definitely rent this property again. I hope it remains a rental in Escalante for a long time.

Escalade Week with Best Friends
My BFF of 58 years (we are now 70!) and our hubbies spent a wonderful week at the Pioneer House. The Escalade location is ideal for spectacular scenery, area hiking and good restaurant meals. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the home's family history - uniquely special. The home is nicely furnished, well-equipped with cooking equipment and supplies, comfortable beds and a big living room with plenty of seating. There are a few quirks, but they add to the adventuresome setting and are explained in the Welcome Book. There is one shared bathroom, which worked just fine for the four of us. We brought 3 dogs so appreciated the large side yard. Kasia responded quickly and thoroughly to our questions. Definitely recommend!
