Very nice, spacious house with great facilities. The beach is only 1 minute away and is perfect for long walks. Only if you want to go on excursions you have to remember that you can only get off the island by ferry (2 minutes = $55).

We were looking for a low key beach vacation with a bit of adventure and we found just that! We are so glad we discovered Palm Island, and Changes in Attitude was the perfect place for us - family of four (kids are 3 & 6) + mother-in-law! We loved being on the lagoon with the boat dock, and just steps across the street from the beach. The best feature is the under house hang out that our kids absolutely loved - the pictures don’t do it justice!! The outdoor shower was nice for cleaning off after a day at the beach, and the beach chairs, beach towels & kayaks / SUP were a huge bonus. We enjoyed daily golf cart rides to Coconut’s for ice cream, and rented a pontoon from Abe’s Boat Rental (on the mainland) to explore beaches & sand bars on the intercostal waterway. Diane was very helpful in providing lots of information ahead of time so we could plan our trip. We’d love to stay here again!

This was the perfect location for our girls trip! The house and location are beautiful! We loved being able to take out the kayaks on the waterway and then relaxing on the beach:). Diane was the perfect host! We hope to come back soon!

Everything was great and as described. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was big, and plenty of stuff to cook with and areas to store. Fridge was big with large freezer. Couches were comfortable. The area under the house was terrific for hanging out. Screened wraparound porch with plenty of seating and space. Property was very well maintained. Communication excellent as always. Bathrooms are a bit small, and master bath could use an update. And we wish there was a ladder on dock to make it easier to get in and out of water. But these are both very minor. Last thing, bring big spray, no see-ums got us good :(

Four generations enjoyed a week full of fun at the beach, in the house, and on the property! The house had everything we needed and was exactly as described. Diane’s communication was excellent. We love getting away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds and this property was a great fit!

We enjoyed the home. It was very relaxing, spacious, and comfortable. We enjoyed the extras like paddle board, hot tub, and tiki bar! It is short walk across the street to the beach. We rented the golf cart which added to enjoyment and seeing the island. Communication from owner was very detailed and clear. Diane was very responsive. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend.

Changes in Attitudes is a lovely, clean home located on Don Pedro Island. This location is great because it is steps away from the beach, and since located on the intracoastal waterway, allowed us to paddle board, kayak, and swim in the backyard. Best of both worlds. We will be back!

Loved Changes in Attitudes! Our first time to the island. My 3 teenagers had so much fun and could basically come and go easily. Very close to the beach and easy access. Enjoyed sitting on the screened in deck every evening. Diane is great and super attentive—any questions or concerns, she’s right on it. She was very easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

CIA was amazing! Exactly as described. Diane, the property manager, was attentive and easily accessible. The beach was a short walk from the home, and it was quiet and peaceful. We loved seeing the turtles and rabbits in our backyard. Highly recommend!

The week was super windy and the surf was rough. We were so thankful to have all the activities that this home provided! The host really has thought of everything and is very communicative throughout the entire process. Loved it and will definitely go again!

Absolute PERFECTION!!!

This is a beautiful home on Palm Island. It is a wonderful set up for a family vacation. The location of home is right across from the beach. It was a bonus that you can rent a golf cart from the owner.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in this spotless and beautifully maintained house- described perfectly in the listing! The photos cannot capture the loving care taken of this property. Owners were very well organized, gave us information in advance that answered all of our questions and couldn't have been nicer to deal with. The well stocked kitchen made our dinners "at home" so easy, and the decks are perfect for taking in the sunset and stars. Beach access was very quick and easy.

This home is a gem-clean, comfortable, well appointed. This is our second time staying here and it will always be at the top of my list. Diane is a great communicator. The wrap around screen porch is fabulous-dinner on the porch over the lagoon every night. Beach is lovely.

We kept in close contact with the owner after the hurricane, worried that our vacation would be cancelled. But she had a crew that worked hard to get the home back in working order. We stayed for 3 relaxing weeks and was sorry to go, but we realized how difficult it was to accomplish a huge amount of work in the months after the hurricane, when we saw all the work that was still going on while we were there. Debris piles were removed while we were there, which was nice. The home is perfect for a family - big kitchen, two bedrooms for adults, one for two kids. The master bedroom and bath were separated by the living room, almost like two wings so there was plenty of privacy. Nearly every room opens out onto the 360 degree deck around the house. Morning sunrises on the deck facing the channel were amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed including plenty of good cooking pans and skillets, and every utensil you could need. We missed having a gas grill, but the charcoal grill (bring your own) worked out ok. The deck under the house (the stilted part) was awesome! Hammocks, a bar area, deck chairs looking out onto the channel and pier, and a HOT TUB!!! There's a whole pile of beach toys and chairs too. The beach was FABULOUS! A short walk to a gorgeous beach with tons of shark teeth and seashells to be found. Everyday, the ocean was different and several of us met at the beach at 6pm to watch the sunset. Stunning! Be aware, if you have an older dog, there's pretty significant steps that must be climbed. At times, our 11 yr old dog struggled, but his legs got stronger over time. There's a ton of dogs that stay on the island, so walking the dog in the morning was a highlight of his day. The car ferry worked well, and we didn't normally have to wait very long. It is expensive and somewhat of a inconvenience, but it guaranteed that you mostly had the beach to yourself! Rum Bay was a decent restaurant but you learn to combine grocery visits, eating out and visiting other beaches in the area in order to minimize your car ferry trips. We rented a pontoon boat and had hoped to get into the channel behind the house, but we had no idea how shallow the channel, and the narrow path under two bridges that you had to take to get to the intracoastal - which is also very shallow. Some parts of the intracoastal are only 1-2 feet deep! Won't try that again! Overall, we loved it enough to book it next year!

Diane was great in communicating prior to our arrival, gave us post-Ian updates along the way, which was much appreciated. The house is great, wonderful location.

Immediately upon booking and throughout, communication with Diane was awesome! She prepared us with detailed information about EVERYTHING! We didn’t spend one moment of our vacation fumbling with “how to’s or want to’s” we were already in the know! The location is 100% paradise and accommodating to the beach goers, fishing fanatics, or the hammock nappers. The house had everything we needed or wanted! Beautifully decorated, well maintained and very clean! Our party of 6 adults could comfortably spend time together OR retreat to one of the large lounging areas, the dock or the entertainment area under the house, if we needed a little personal space. Read the house amenities and trust they are accurate (and then some!) We have been to Gasparilla, Venice , Palm Isand, …… to name a few. To date, Palm Island, Changes in Attitude and Diane rate number #1 with our family for location, accommodations and hostess!! Thank you! We will be back!

The home was very clean, comfortable and accommodating. We enjoyed being able to dock a boat, kayak and paddle board. It is a short walk across the street to enjoy the beach and sunsets. We loved the screened in wrap around porch and enjoyed the hammocks, corn hole game and hot tub on the bottom deck. The golf cart also added to the fun as we enjoyed taking a daily drive around the island and spotted gopher turtles and rabbits. The owner was very helpful, easy to reach and quick to respond.

Everything about this house is spectacular!! Diane was a great with communication with everything. The week we spent there was absolutely gorgeous and my family and I had a extremely good time enjoying the beach.

We had a great stay at Changes in Attitude. Diane is easy to get a hold of when needed and is always only a phone call away. The island is wonderful and location to beach is great. Can't wait to return and visit!

Changes in Attitudes was definitely more than "as advertised." We enjoyed our week reconnecting with our adult children. We kayaked, boated, rode bikes and sat in the hot tub after our busy days. Thanks, Diane, for the excellent communication and amazing amenities!
