A propos de ce cabane standardrental
Waterfront Puget Sound cabin, minutes from Bainbridge Ferry to downtown Seattle

Such a little gem! Historic beach cabin right on the water with all the essentials.

There was a little bit of miscommunication on checkin but Joe was quick to resolve it. We felt like we were in an episode of National Geographic with all the beautiful scenery.

Great little waterfront house/cabin. Enjoyed how quiet it was, beautiful views of the Sound, and cozy feel of the home. Will absolutely stay again!

Me and my adult twin daughters came to escape the everyday life. Just a moment to celebrate family time and relax with our pups as well. Perfect amount of cabin life width modern amenities. I’d definitely like to return again when visiting my daughter in Seattle in the future. Bonus is seeing sooo many orcas and waking up to the water just out the front door. We had everything we needed, just needed to bring groceries!

Everything was nice and clean during our stay, and we enjoyed being on the water. It is very nice and secluded, with a great view. The communication with the owner was excellent. The path down to the cabin was steep, so if you are elderly or unstable I could see that as a problem.
Very nice getaway and well-maintained place to stay.

We had a wonderful four day stay at the Blue Heron House. The bed was comfortable, household supplies were plentiful & easy to find and the views were spectacular! We were there in late September so we weren't lucky enough to see any whales or otters but we did see a sea lion, a couple of harbor seals, porpoises in the distance and plenty of jumping salmon! And, of course, Blue Herons; they were constant companions. Watching the boats go by, near and far, was beautiful. The weather didn't matter because the covered (and heated) porch made sitting outside enjoyable. The one caveat is to take the website's warning about the trail down to the cabin seriously and pack lightly! We will definitely pack differently next time. Our host was very thoughtful and very quick to answer any questions we had which was much appreciated!

We enjoyed a couple nights at this small home. The walk down and back up is steep, but the path is well maintained and safe. Well stocked kitchen, spacious bathroom, the whole home was very clean. The wildlife in the Sound and along the shore of the cabin was fun to watch. We wished we could have stayed another day!

Gorgeous location and so peaceful to sit on the porch all day and listen to the water. Saw harbor porpoises, orcas, seals, and otters. Kitchen was great for cooking. Secluded location meant we weren't disturbed by anyone and really enjoyed the disconnect from a busy world. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Finding and getting in to home a little difficult but my daughter came to help me and I didn’t read directions well enough. Apparently I need big signs 🤷🏼♀️I had a great time with my grandkids. Book again for August!

Walking down to the cabin is a nice workout, the path, steps and boardwalk felt secure. Just enough to make you feel like you’re roughing it a little.
The cabin is right on the water, the view is super nice, Olympics, Seattle, Mt Rainier, sea lions, eagles. At high tide the waves lap at the bulkhead, low tide reveals a walkable shoreline to collect shells, rocks and sea glass. Or, sit on the covered porch, and soak in the sunrise.
The cabin interior is quaint and comfortable, to relax, read, enjoy the views out the window. Cooking in the kitchen is a plus, everything you need is provided. Sleeping options are good. You can head upstairs or opt for the pullout sofa bed and sleep downstairs to have bathroom nearby w/o having to fuss with the steep staircase.
If chilly, you can make a little fire in the stove, or use the electric heaters. Also, we BBQ'd in the Weber grill it was fantastic, then got a fire going in the fire pit out front and sat and enjoyed the sunset and sea lions.
Visited the Suquamish Museum, 5 minutes away, what a great way to learn and take in the history of this amazing area.
Overall, a nice trip and wonderful place to stay to experience this part of Washington.

We loved our stay at the blue heron house. The cabin is so cute and cozy and the views are stellar. We loved beach combing at low tide with our dogs and watching the seals play in the water at sunrise. Lovely property! We had a great time!

We needed a little cabin on the water semi close to home but still feel like we were out of town. The highlights were definitely the water and the wood stove! I did wish the setup had the bed situated on the main floor so that I didn’t have to climb up and down the ladder for bathroom, coffee and breakfast in bed, ect. We didn’t leave the property even once the whole weekend. Definitely the unwinding we needed! Thanks Joe!

This was such a great little place! We arrived right as the tide was in and crashing against the front yard. This place was not for the feint of heart as there's a long, verticle boardwalk. I think it just adds to the feel of a couples retreat. Worth every step.
There's lots of places to hike and interesting things to see. We saw a family of seals, lots of ducks, and in the last dawn of our trip, the blue heron. We plan to return at least once a year.

Eagle, otter, porpoise, glimpse of maybe sea lion? All from the deck and house.

The location of this cabin is absolutely spectacular, right on the beach. We watched sea lions, birds, and boats going by. The cabin is rustic, and would be difficult for anyone with impaired mobility, but overall it was charming. The ladder to the upstairs bedroom is a bit steep, but doable for folks able to climb ladders.

We had a great experience with this property. It was just as advertised with no surprises whatsoever. Very quiet and private. Little old no frills cabin with everything we expected or needed. It was very clean with no stale mildew odor that one might expect from a place this old this close to the water. The listing details regarding the stairs to the loft and the path down from the parking area are no joke. Check out chore list was very reasonable, pull the linens and do your dishes.

The location of this cabin is so convenient to the ferries but makes you feel like you're away from it all. The amenities in the cabin were just what I needed. The bed was comfortable and the view cannot be beat. With the windows open you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping at the shore.

Loved this simple but well-appointed cabin right at waters edge. As described, the trail down to the cabin is a bit steep but once you're down, you won't want to leave! Windows open, listening to the water all day & all night was fabulous. I love this place!!!

Getaway perfection
This cabin is adorable. The kitchen is well stocked. Good towels and linens. The front porch overlooking the fire pit overlooking the water is magical. Porpoises, otter and seals are all swimming right in front of you. Note that here is a steep ladder to get to the bedroom, and the pathway down from the parking is also steep. There is a very good bistro just up the street, Sully’s. The small grocery mart has very basic staples and firewood. I look forward to returning.

Peaceful get away
Loved our stay at this quant cabin that feels remote but is very accessible. We saw porpoises, birds and seals! A seal even brought his breakfast up on the boat launch to sunbath while eating. We have already recommended this place to some friends. Perfect place to rest and reset.

Escape place
We had a nice quiet stay at the Blue Heron house. We wanted to "get away" from our busy life and this is what we got. This beautiful cabin is right beside the water and you can hear the waves even at night.
The heated covered deck is our favorite place to drink coffee and watch wildlife.
Sully's Bistro down the street has good food if you don't feel like cooking.

Close-In Getaway
Even though the city is within view, this quaint cabin feels like it's miles away. Tucked onto the beach with views of Mount Rainier and the sun/moon rising over the Cascades, this location gives you a whales-eye-view of Port Madison Bay and Indianola.
I especially loved the heated, covered deck where I spent hours watching hundreds of porpoise feed each day, loons passing by, bald eagles and herons flying overhead.
The cabin was very clean, well stocked with all the essentials and warm. The bedroom, tucked into the dormer, is accessed by steep hand-hewn stairway, which might be difficult for some especially those needing the restroom at night, but I had no trouble taking extra caution.
A world away within the world close at hand, you'll be rejuvenated here!
BTW - Sully's in Suquamish has the best clams I've ever eaten!

Great place!
We had a great stay at the Blue Heron House! It is a great location with a beautiful view. We were able to fish right from the front yard. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the beach at Indianola which is fun for the kids at low tide!
We can’t wait to book another trip!

entry adventure
Loved the property once there Had difficulty findig it and the trail to the cabin was difficult as it was extremely steep. Cabin was delightful and very clean with a fabulous view! Mentioning the Casino would have helped with the directions to the property.

Waterfront Perfection
Absolutely Amazing and so thrilled this Cabin is available to rent. We just moved to the area and rented this for our Family to stay while visiting. We felt like the only people around and enjoyed the seclusion to catch up with my Sister and Mom after not seeing each other for 2 years because of COVID!

Fantastic views and sweet house
A beautiful, secluded spot on the water. It helped that the weather was gorgeous. Eating breakfast out on the porch, watching porpoises swim by and the fire pit for hanging around at night were highlights. The kitchen was well appointed and we ate all our meals in. We’ll be back!
