We enjoyed our stay in the Cozy Cabin in Clifftops.

Great stay with my family and pup. Cozy is the right word for this place! It’s lived in and loved by families and dogs, well appointed kitchen, comfy beds. The couches could be updated but I get and appreciate that this is a dog friendly cabin! Lovely host, gorgeous area, and we loved the pool and lake, as always. My kids loved the couple of toys and games and the bunkbed. We will come back to this sweet cabin to reset and I look forward to that outside porch when we do! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cozy Cabin. It was very comfortable and easy to find in Cliff Tops, which can be a bit of a maze. We enjoyed using the lake, and our kids really had fun with the kayak and paddle board. It was beautiful and so relaxing!

Cabin was very well stocked. Some confusion with the TV remote but it just needed batteries. The owner was immediately responsive to all questions and requests.

Very nice property. Rain did not allow us to take advantage of the nice outdoor amenities. We toured the Sewanee campus (scenic overlooks, charming old homes and school buildings) and visited Natural Bridge. Great place for families, hikers and nature lovers. Lots to see and do in the area.
Cozy cabin is in a very nice community and there is much to see and do in the area.

Host was very responsive. We found Cozy Cabin to be be the perfect fit for our group. Clear instructions and easy access into a gated, beautiful community. We were very pleased with how well it was stocked. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the canoe and outdoor fire ring. Hope to return sometime.

The house was a lovely rest spot from a hiking trip in sewanee! The beds were comfortable, the screened in porch idyllic, and the fireplace was an added bonus with a cold front going through. Wish we’d had more time to stay and explore - our dog was very content to sniff and sniff!

We had the best experience. It was comfortable and had so much space! Sad we didn’t get to use any of the amenities like the kayaks/ canoe because we were so busy, but the deck and porch were awesome! 10/10 recommended. We will be back!

Everything was perfect and even the weather worked out for us !!! Owner was wonderful to work with and we will definitely be back soon ! Thanks Gale for a wonderful weekend !!!

This little secluded cabin is in a nice gated community. This gives you access to the wonderful Mountains of Mt. Eagle, while all of your personal belongings are safe and secure. This community has some amazing views to offer, and there are many beautiful hikes within just a few miles of the cabin. The cabin itself is quaint and beautiful, offering a great deal of privacy. There is a large deck, that was perfect for sipping coffee in the mornings, or enjoying a good sunset in the evening. I would highly recommend this cabin if you are ready to get away from the everyday hussle and bustle, and enjoy a getaway in the beautiful Tennessee mountain woods.

I met a group of friends for an outdoor guys weekend. We climbed foster falls on Saturday and hiked the fiery gizzard trail Sunday. The proximity to the state parks on the Cumberland plateau makes this cabin a great base camp. We comfortably slept 7 people without having to double up. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. There is a grill and firewood for the cold months.

We spent a relaxing weekend in this cozy, little cabin tucked into the woods. We took the entire family for a weekend getaway, while our oldest toured the University. It was perfect for the 6 of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fireplace was perfect and the abundance of wood was so nice! We liked the location perfectly between Monteagle and campus. I also loved that my little ones could get out and roam a bit and I didn't worry about their safety. The house was very clean and Gale did a great job with instructions and questions. It was a very "easy" rental. We will definitely go back!

College girlfriends (4 of us) for more than 35 years gathered for the weekend. The weather was amazing and we very much enjoyed the Cozy Cabin. Owners were wonderful and easy to work with. Access worked well (gated community with code box) and we all enjoyed the sense of safety and security. WIFI worked well (access code is at the house and in the welcome email). Each of us had our own room and we ate and cooked most of our meals there. Hiking and walking in the neighborhood was wonderful and we even got out to the neighborhood lake and used the canoe available to guests staying at this cabin. While the pool at the Bluff overlook was closed, the walk was great and the views from the bluff were amazing. We hope to be back very soon. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend at the Cozy Cabin!!

This cabin was perfect for a family with dogs. We had 10 in the cabin and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and a few spices. We had everything we needed to cook. Plenty of fire wood for the huge fireplace. We went on walks and had a great relaxing weekend. The Clifftops has a many things to offer - basket ball court, tennis courts, swimming pool, lake, trails, play ground. Very close to Sewanee. I would definitely return. The owner, Gail, was great to work with!

Ideal spot for quiet get-a-ways. We visited during the coldest part of winter, but were snug beside the fire while soup cooked on the stove. The surrounding forest added to the quiet privacy, and added that extra touch for a romantic evening. The cabin was clean and well stocked with linens and cooking utensils, the owner couldn't have been friendlier, and quickly answered all of our questions. Loads of adventures close by including good hikes, waterfalls, Sewannee, and yummy little cafes. We especially enjoyed the Blue Chair in Sewannee, the town. Oh the added bonus was we were able to bring our big dog. She loved it too! We have nothing but awesome memories of this cute cabin nestled in the woods.

We did not want to leave!! The entire experience at this fabulous cabin was warm, easy and welcoming. Our interaction with the owner was delightful from the first to the final communications and access to the community and property was simple, which created an inviting and hospitable feel before we even set foot in the cabin. We were impressed by the thoughtfulness of the every aspect from cabin design to amenities (fabulous wifi to the offering of using their canoe) to our email chats.
The cabin itself has a wonderful flow and is a perfect fit for a couple or larger groups. The kitchen and living areas open onto each other and are surrounded with gorgeous woodsy views from ample windows. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking in, and the generous stone fireplace is extremely inviting on winter evenings. We felt happily tucked in.
The Clifftops community is a fantastic place to hike and walk with your dog. Trails and creeks abound. We loved seeing deer on practically every outing and really enjoyed the quiet vacation in nature as a reprieve from the city.
We so loved our winter getaway there that we didn't even venture out to explore Sewanee or surrounding hiking trails. We are looking forward to returning!

We stayed at the Cozy Cabin during our recent rock climbing trip to Fosters Falls. The accomodations were great and located just a short drive from the crag. Originally expecting a party of six, our group swelled to 10 but there was still plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The open kitchen, dining and living room area was great for socializing while cooking and enjoying group dinners, and waiting out the rain that passed through. The weekend was a bit chilly for hanging out on the deck, but the setting would have been great for cooking on the grill and enjoying the fresh air and the wildlife in the surrounding woods. Wifi was great for checking in with work and accessing local intel via google. Access to the gated property was a breeze as were all the interactions with the owner. For our group, way cheaper than staying in a hotel and more convenient than camping since most of us flew down. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend to any with a mid sized group (4-10) people looking to climb at fosters falls or enjoy many of the other opportunities for recreation in the area around Monteagle.

We had a wonderful time at this house. The owner was very accommodating. Access to this private gated community is made simple by owner. We woke up the first morning to a light snow which delighted us since we are from Florida. On the second morning we had two deer grazing right outside the deck. We enjoyed fires in the evenings with wood provided by owner's wood pile. The house was cozy and comfortable. It is a short ride to Sewanee where we enjoyed many of the university's outside activities including walking around Lake Cheston, walking down the steps at Morgan's Steep, checking out the views at The Cross and Greensview. We also went out to Natural Bridge and hiked out in that area. Christmas decorations in Monteagle were very very pretty. There were plenty of places to eat in Sewanee and Monteagle. I would definitely stay in this house again.

We had the pleasure of being the first guests to the Cozy Cabin, staying over the 4th of July weekend in 2013. The cabin was perfect! My husband and I traveled with three 13 year old girls and a 5 year old boy. Everyone had a wonderful trip, even though it rained almost the entire time we were on the Mountain. Since several items on our agenda (hiking to Bridal Veil Falls, the air show on the 4th, and several scheduled outdoor concerts during the weekend) were rained out we spent more time than we planned inside at the cabin. There were plenty of games, puzzles, and a deck of cards to keep everyone occupied. There was even a lovely selection of books fit for teens - I did suggest that the girls read a book, but I didn't get anyone to actually read one. :) The owners told us there was a Red Box at the Dollar General and we used it twice. The TVs at the cabin aren't fancy, but the one downstairs has a nice sound system hooked into it and it was perfect for our uses.
The cabin had a washer and dryer which are older machines, but they handled our multiple loads of soaked clothes perfectly (the parade, the arts & crafts show, and the fireworks went on as scheduled even though it was raining). Instead of having a picnic and a concert, we ended up visiting the nearby Piggly Wiggly and getting dinner to make at the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked and I was able to cook dinner without any trouble.
We planned to eat at Shenanigan's while on the Mountain, but found it closed (the building is for sale). We ate at the Blue Chair which we found to be delightful! Wonderful milkshakes, too! We also ate at the dining hall on campus twice - yum!
The girls enjoyed "hanging out" in the screened porch, and everyone enjoyed the sound of rain on a tin roof. My son enjoyed the freedom to ride his bike up and down the long driveway, too! (The driveway isn't really that long, but when you are 5 and used to having a standard concrete driveway in suburbia, the cabin's gravel driveway winding through the trees seems like an adventure. Especially if Mom lets you ride in the rain.)
The cabin is perfect for a family with children. Plenty of room for kids upstairs with the master bedroom downstairs. The 4 kids fit easily upstairs, we could even have accommodated a few more.
The Sewanee area is a beautiful place, we miss living on the Mountain (we are both Sewanee alums) and truly enjoyed our visit - even with the rain. We can't wait to come back next year for the 4th of July
