The apartment is lovely, modern and well-equipped. The hosts were immediately responsive to our needs. They left a fabulous tour guide that supported our stay. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

This apartment is excellent ! It looks exactly like the pictures. Very few apartments in Copacabana have balconies or even views, and even though this place doesn't have a balcony, the large windows all open up to give it the feeling that the whole wall IS a balcony. What's even better is that most apartments only have views of the beach OR The mountains (or no view), but here you will have a panoramic, beachside view, city view and mountain views and a clear sight line to Christ The Redeemer! We were here for the New Years Eve fireworks, and watching it from the apartment will be an experience we will never forget ! The apartment is on a dead end street right across from Copacabana beach, steps away from grocery and shopping, as well as transit. The Doormen are all friendly and funny, and even though we didn't speak Portuguese, they helped us out a lot. The owner is easy to communicate with and very informative, and the property manager is very kind. (She doesn't speak English, but was a pleasure to meet.) If you are checking in late, there is a trick to the door locks, so make sure you get instructions. It's very secure ! All in all, this is a perfect vacation rental for either 2 or 4 visitors!

My expectations for this property were high, but they were exceeded. The owner was in close contact via Whatsapp through out the pre-arrival period. Dona Teresa provided a flawless check-in and check-out. The apartment is beautiful, well equipped, well organized, with breathtaking views and located in a prime neighborhood with everything you will need within a short radius. I have stayed in many apartments and hotels in Rio and this stay ranked well above the rest. I recommend this location without reservation. Thanks, Steve, for being such an attentive host. You will be hearng from me about future rentals.

Spent over a week here. Very comfortable condo for a group of four. Steven and Debra were very helpful and had a lot of tips for navigating through the area. We all had a great time during our stay!

Two bedrooms and two baths worked great for our family of 3. We felt completely safe the entire time in the neighborhood. Beach is across the street and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Also a grocery store around the corner. The subway station is a quick 10 minute walk. If we come back to Rio, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This has been one of the nicest apartments we ever stayed it. The location is optimal, since it is 1 minute away from the beach. Definitely the best view of Copacabana that you could imagine. It is located in the 14th floor and you have a beautiful big glass window to enjoy sunsets from. Very clean and modern decorated. Steven was extremely nice and very quick to reply. The check-in and check-out was super easy and the doormen were always helping and very sweet. Definitely going to stay here in the future. Thank you!

The appartement is modern, full equiped and has the best view of all Copacabana beach due to is located in front of a square. It has all the gadgets and stuff for the stay. Check in process as agreed. Very quick response and kind contact with the owner and manager in case of any issue. I will reserve this appartment in my next visit to Rio, of course.

We stayed at Steven and Debra’s apartment for one week. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean. Everyone made us feel welcome. The apartment is perfectly situated with many restaurants, bars and shopping within easy walking distance. But the best part of all is the stunning views of almost the entire length of Copacabana Beach. Steven was most accommodating – a wonderful host. We would recommend this apartment for anyone coming to Rio, you won’t regret it.

The overall experience was great. The apartment was amazing with extraordinary views. We would definitely recommend Steven and Deb’s place to anyone and everyone. It’s in a perfect location, right smack in the middle of everything and at most an hour away from some of the other must see sights. Both Steven and Deb were and are wonderful. Timely responses and went out of there way to make arrangements for us to park our rental car. If and when we return to Brazil Steven and Deb’s apartment is the place we will stay once again.

Our stay at Steven’s lovely apartment was wonderful! It was conveniently located across the street from the beach. The sizable apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The large windows offer a beautiful front ocean view and you can also see Christ of the Redeemer! The apartment was conveniently located next to the pop up markets with delicious local food and a great place to buy souvenirs. The neighborhood is a home to many good restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and small beach bars. There is even a CrossFit gym is around the corner. The metro station is located a short walk distance from the apartment.

This is a fantastic apartment in many ways. It is modern, beautiful and spacious, with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen is excellent and well equipped, and the clothes washer and dryer are great. The hosts are very professional and friendly in their communication and the lady who met us at the start and end (Teresa) is friendly, helpful and super nice. The location is perfect with a metro stop about 10 min away by foot, Copacabana beach a few meters/yards away, and many services very close, e.g., grocery stores, restaurants. I saved the best for last-the view of Copacabana Beach is 'to die for' and Corcovado is lit up and visible at night. I hope that we can come back again one day to this dream place!

As a first time traveler to Rio's Carnival, Steve and Deb make this experience so very easy. They provided lots of useful information and kept in contact me with throughout the process; even following up with me to make sure everything was going well during my visit. Their service was OUTSTANDING! The condo is amazing. It is exactly as seen in the photos but MUCH MORE beautiful! It was super clean and well kept. It is right in the middle of everything I wanted to see and do: beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. It was safe; with a 24 hour door man and locked gates. It has all the listed amenities and more. I have to mention, the beds were very comfortable especially after a long day of walking. This place is BEAUTIFUL and I can't say enough good things about my experience from start to finish. It really is perfect and I can't wait to stay there again! Thank you, Steve & Deb, for making this a trip of a lifetime!!

Steven and Debra are fabulous hosts to deal with and will provide you with any info you could possibly need. The condo is excellent and has absolutely everything you could possibly need during your stay. The washer and dryer was such a bonus, arriving after a week on the Amazon, we had so much laundry! The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and the location is perfect! Waking up to such spectacular views out over Copacabana beach really made our trip, and being able to see Christ the Redeemer too was an added bonus. So many bars and restaurants are right on your doorstep and a cheap Uber will take you anywhere else you want to go for just a few Rials. We would highly recommend this condo to any visitors to Rio and will definitely stay here again when we're in Rio next (hopefully for Carnival one year!).

This review is long overdue but we highly recommend the Tholen’s condo. Great location right on Copa Cabana within walking distance to Ipanema. The place is impeccably clean, spacey, modern with an amazing view of Copa Cabana and Christ the Redeemer statue. If questioning where to go, what to eat, what to do - there’s a binder full of detailed recommendations provided by the Tholen family with directions on how to get to. There is great communication and helpful tips with the Tholen family throughout our entire stay. Another plus is there is a doorman 24 hours. We have nothing but rave reviews with our stay and loved the accommodations. When we return to Brazil, we will definitely be booking the Tholen’s place.

Comfortable, well equipped two bedroom with individual air conditioners in each room. Friendly, helpful staff at front desk and in the garage. Grocery stores and restaurants a short walk away. Half a block from the beach. Owners very accessible by text and phone and provided detailed information by email and posted in the property. Look forward to staying there again and recommend it to others.

This is a modern, top-class apartment with a view to die for. As you look out of the huge windows, the full curve of Copacabana beach stretches to the left, while Christ the Redeemer looks down majestically from the right. The interior is modern, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The apartment is on the top (14th) floor above the small Praca do Lido park, which is one of the departure points for vans up to the Corcovado. It's also very convenient for the Sugar Loaf, only a short tax-ride away, and for the metro into downtown. The neighbourhood is quite lively, with supermarkets and restaurants just around the corner, and feels entirely safe, day and night. The American owners, Steven and Deborah, were exceptionally friendly and helpful in giving valuable guidance, both before and during our stay. The rental is not cheap but still much better value than any decent hotel in the neighbourhood, taking into account the space and amazing view. We would love to come back one day!

The apartment has great standards the rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is very convenient. Well furnished and amazing view. Very clean when we got i we had a great stay and loved the location on animated copacabana. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. The owners and the staff of the building made everything easy for us to spend very nice holidays in family.

The apartment is exactly, if not more, what is described here. Very spacious, well maintained, super clean and well equipped. You have everything a person could ask! The location is excellent and the view from the window on Copacabana beach is simply astonishing! Hosts left me a lot of information, guides and tips to enjoy Rio at its best. Communication with them was always excellent and arranging for our arrival and departure was very hassle-free. The layout and location were perfect as you are right by beautiful Copacabana beach. The building is staffed 24 hours with very helpful doormen and the security people were super-friendly. I strongly recommend it to all those who want to visit Rio in a safe and comfortable way, not always practical when staying in hotels. Can't wait to return!

Location, location, location! The condo is well furnished and exceptionally clean. But, the wonderful view and fabulous location are the highlights. We appreciated the complete kitchen and ability to use a washer and dryer as well. Checking in and out was as smooth as can be. Teresa was there to greet us as well as make arrangements for a taxi to get get us to the airport. The owners were exceptionally good about providing instructions and personal recommendations. We followed their advice and had a fabulous vacation!
