This compact apartment was in a great location close to the centre of St Martin de Re. Everything was clean and tidy. The large windows had mosquito nets so one could leave the windows open (behind closed shutters) during the day to keep the temperature comfortable. Very nice (and non-leaking!) shower in the compact bathroom.

The bed mattress is very firm. Not a real problem for us, but some people would want to be aware of this. The property could do with at least one fan to help with night time comfort in the bedroom. Storage space not particularly extensive - fine for us for four nights, but might be an issue for longer stays.

Location is good and if you want to self cater facilities are fine

no help from the local hosts (despite multiple requests) other than checking that we would be at the location on time for arrival but when we asked other questions regarding property got no response at all. A particular problem on the island is getting taxis and I normally stay in a hotel which has relationships with the key tax companies but when you don't have this it can prove very difficult to get a taxi and hosts were no help at all. Fortunately the front desk staff at the hotel I normally stay at were very helpful but without them I would have been stuck as had to return on a Sunday when there are no buses at the time I was leaving. Bed was adequate but not up to a hotel standard
