Adorable Lake Street Cottage ~ Walk to town ~ Bikes included ~ CLEAN & Comfy!
La lumière du soleil coule à travers les nombreuses fenêtres de cette maison propre, confortable et joliment décorée de trois chambres (+ loft) et de deux salles de bain, parfaite pour des vacances en famille. Les draps, la vaisselle, le mobilier et les fournitures de qualité abondent, il n'y a pas de mains dans ce chalet bien approvisionné! La grande cour et la terrasse clôturées sont un endroit sûr pour les enfants et les animaux de compagnie afin que vous puissiez vous détendre sous l'énorme saule ou le barbecue pendant que les enfants et les animaux jouent en toute sécurité. 2 balançoires pour des heures de plaisir. Ou asseyez-vous sur le porche avant et discutez avec les voisins amicaux. En hiver, on a vu des orignaux marcher sur le trottoir devant la maison et «élaguer» les arbustes dans la cour!

What a wonderful time! We needed nothing during our stay in this home. The house is clean and comfortable with all of the necessities and more. We enjoyed lounging around inside and out. It’s a quick easy walk or bike ride to town. My kids enjoyed exploring on their own, fishing in Sand Creek and eating at all the great places.
I hope we can return one day!

Oh so cute!! We loved the home! Clean and cozy! Very well laid out! Held the group of us so perfectly. Kitchen is very well stocked! Plenty of dishes for the whole day before having to run the dishwasher! Good quality of pots and pans! Great dining table, space for 10-12 for dinner and games afterwards!

This house met our needs well. Two families with 3 teenagers. Both sets of parents had their own rooms, kids had upstairs to themselves. Upstairs is a bit funky--no real bedroom; but a curtained off area with 2 twins, and then more open space with queen and two day beds, and full bathroom. Our only complaint is the HVAC is quite noisy. We couldn't really figure out how to alter the heat system, it seemed locked into its program. The fan for the system went on at 5am, even though "wake" was at 6am. Otherwise, we were very happy with the layout of the house, space, kitchen was amazingly well appointed. quiet neighborhood and close to town, easy to access Schweitzer too (though skiing was not great due to low snow).
FYI: Make SURE you park across the street during the winter. The side of the street the house is on does NOT allow parking in the winter, due to snowplow action. We learned this with a warning from the Sandpoint PD. This information is NOT easily visible unless you see it on a stop sign. In the dark it is not visible at all.

Perfect location in downtown Sandpoint. The house was beautifully furnished, and it had everything we needed for our stay. Couldn't have been happier with our choice. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic home right in Sandpoint. House is beautifully decorated and so comfortable and cozy. Within walking distance of downtown and the beach, it is a perfect location. Paula is wonderful and great to work with. Highly recommend this home!

This property was so cute and comfortable with everything that is needed! We only wish we could have stayed longer! It was a great place for us to stay with our 3 adult children but would be good for young families too. Paula was very responsive to our needs and questions. Thank you!

Was completely accurate to the impression we got from the listing…but what wasn’t shown, although greatly appreciated was how well the home was eqipped for everyday living. Hair dryers, laundry products, great kitchen gear…even spices and soaps. You could literally just walk in and live. Was more than enough space to be comfortable and have fun. Great layout for big groups of adults and kids or whatever. Landlord was super sweet and helpful. Everyone in our group had an amazing experience.

We did a father/son ski trip and the house worked out great. Sandpoint homes are older and smaller, and the layouts are a bit quirky, but the house was great for our needs. The lots in Sandpoint are small too (old RR town). There are 2 main bedrooms downstairs, and the upstairs queen, and the twins/daybeds are all in one big attic room. 2 families could easily fit with the kids upstairs. We had 3 dads, an uncle, and 3 boys (3, 12, 15) and were comfortable. The host was responsive.

Spacious. Homey. So many thoughtful touches. Loved the bikes. AC kept the house very comfortable during a week-long heatwave. Lots of dishes so we could have others join our group of 6 for meals. Comfortable beds and pretty main floor bedrooms, but not much privacy on the second floor, which is basically open plan.
Front porch is SO cute and a great place to sit, rock and read or chat. Loved that the backyard was fenced for our dog but the daily sprinklers made it kind of muddy. The ancient, enormous willow tree is absolutely beautiful and provides lovely shade. The landscaping in back needs work, but that would just be icing on an already beautiful cake.

Quick visit with adult kids
This was a great spot - easy to find, comfortable and well appointed, and close to everything in Sandpoint. We couldnt get in at first, but we were able to easily contact the owner and get the code updated (the power had been off). My daughter was interviewing up at Schweitzer and my son and I played disc golf at a local course which was cool, even though it was pouring rain! We had a great coffee at a nearby roaster and a nice dinner at Baxters. This house was an easy walk to the lake and nearby park. I'd stay again if I ever go back to Sandpoint!

Wonderful house close to everything in Sandpoint.
We travelled to Sandpoint for a wedding. The lake house was perfect for the entire family ranging from 5 to folks in their late 70's. The kids loved the swings and the backyard, with rooms upstairs and down we had plenty of space. The overall cottage is lovely and you will enjoy staying there. Paula was an amazing host checking in on us all throughout the stay to ensure we did not need anything.

Best Place!
First, the location was ideal! Within very walkable distance to town (shopping and restaurants).... and beautiful community to just take leisurely walks, which we did.
The accommodations were so comfortable, and the cottage was also well-stocked with any needs. Time went by quickly, and wish we had booked it for more days.
Paula was very prompt and helpful with any questions we had. Thank you, Paula for opening this lovely cottage as a rental. We will be back :} We loved it!

Enjoyed our stay
Comfortable and well located. The large kitchen table was perfect for our group to have room to sit and talk/play games, and also to eat. Well stocked and really enjoyed the Sandpoint information book.

Sandpoint Family Vacation
We loved this rental. It offered some amazing amenities that were unexpected. The house fit our family perfectly. The upstairs was great for my son's family of two adults and three children. I used the front bedroom and my daughter and husband and infant took the other one. The location worked great for walks to City Beach, breweries, winery and the farmer's market. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable Homey Cottage
Lake Street Cottage has everything we needed and more. Super clean. The kitchen and dining rooms are beautiful, especially when the warm sun filters in. We loved sitting on the porch. Our dogs loved the yard and found some balls to play with. The willow tree and the swings remind me of a time long past. Paula is a great host. We were so sad to leave.

Serenity, peace, and comfort in a beautiful package!
We also have vacation rentals in Washington which keep us busy 7 days a week, so we REALLY needed a getaway. We were captivated by the first photo of this cottage. We've been to Sandpoint a couple of times, but we'd never really looked at this neighborhood. Beautiful older homes that have been renovated and given new life amongst huge century-old trees within a few blocks of the downtown area and the beach immediately brought a sense of serenity and peace to us when we arrived.
The cottage was bigger than we needed, but we really wanted to stretch out and relax. The home was spotless, welcoming, and very well stocked. The bed was comfortable (which is hard to find) and the living room furniture actually was the kind you just sink into and never want to get up. However, the claw food tub also called to me. So many things to do, so little time!
We spent most of our in-house time sitting on the back porch watching the family of squirrels in the giant willow tree. There were also 2 families of birds just a few feet away in the same tree. The weather was perfect, and we walked to Hydra Steakhouse and had excellent seafood. There's a nice little health food store a block away and we got absolutely wonderful massages at the Medical Massage place which was also only a block away.
Would we come back? You bet! We never wanted to leave in the first place!!!

Great location close to downtown. Clean and lots of room for the 8 we had. Easy to contact host. All round great place to stay to spend sometime in Sandpoint.

Great stay at a great property
Pleasantly surprised by this cottage, as the pictures online definitely don't do it justice! It ended up the perfect setup for our group - the kids enjoyed swinging in the backyard, the check-in/check-out process was seamless, and it's close to both the water and downtown. The only feedback we'd have is that the televisions are both in need of updating; we stayed here on the night of an important Gonzaga basketball game and the picture quality on the main television made it look like we were watching an 80's or 90's replay rather than a live game! Other than that, this place is ideal for a Sandpoint getaway!

Cozy cottage conveniently located.
We loved staying in this cozy, clean, beautifully decorated home! The location is convenient to downtown shops, restaurants, and the lake. We had a great time riding the bikes around the neighborhood and down to the lake. We also went to Schweitzer’s, which was only about 20 minutes away. There was a variety of things to do for all activity levels. We hope to be back soon!

PERFECT Location!
We were a group of four adults and two doggies and this darling lake house couldn't have been more perfect! We wanted for absolutely nothing as the home was so well stocked. Plenty of room for everyone (we could have comfortably housed two more adults and four more kids! Wow!) Easy walking distance to a wonderful grocery store as well as the darling downtown core of Sandpoint and the gorgeous lake there. Plus it's a quick and easy drive to Schweitzer Mountain, key for the skiers in our group. The dogs loved the fully fenced yard and we loved that they were safe, secure and easy to spot. We BBQ'ed one night and all four of us took a turn on the tree swings hanging from the beautiful willow in the back yard. Parking was a breeze and was literally right outside the gate. And the claw foot tub in the upstairs bathroom was just heavenly! All in all, we would all go back in a second - may need to check out summers in the area next!

The House was very cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The neighborhood was safe and walking distance to a restaurants, an organic grocery store and the lake. We went skiing every day and always came home to a warm house and a bathtub perfect for soaking in.

Absolute perfection
Our Family enjoyed our stay here so much. It was so clean, comfy and cozy. Not one bad thing to say. Property owner was so responsive and easy to deal with. We were an easy 25 min drive to the ski mountain, which we had a blast. This home was so well stocked, we needed for nothing. Some places we have stayed in the past are so stingy with items like garbage bags, hand soaps. Dish soaps etc. it was nice to not have to run out and purchase all these small things. Stores, coffee shops restaurants were al in close proximity. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who asks.

Comfy Christmas
The place was as described- clean, quaint and totally stocked with everything needed to easily cook Christmas dinner. The location was perfect- easy to get to downtown or the freeway. The fenced yard was perfect for our little dog. The house was more than enough room for the four of us to spend Christmas together. Paula was in constant (not too much) communication with needed information and when there was about four inches of snow on the ground the day after Christmas, the sidewalks had been shoveled sometime before 6 am. We will definitely be back for another stay when we return to Sandpoint.
