This is our 3rd year in a row staying at Debbie’s cottage, and it was wonderful. We love having our boat docked for a week of tubing, water skiing, fishing, swimming and fishing. We are already booked for next year!

The host was great and replied quickly for any thing we needed, got in the house and immediately were amazed by the view, went on the canoe in the lake which was absolutely beautiful. And nothing beats waking up in the morning and having coffee with this view. 5/5 all across the board!

Clean and nice cottage on Highland Lake. We had a good time here but it should be noted that space is very limited, there’s no washing/drying machine or dishwasher and wifi was weak (we had trouble with Zoom and streaming).

This was our family’s second year staying at the cottage, and it was another fun week! We bring our own boat, so it was great to have it docked there all week to fish, water ski, go tubing, and going on evening rides around the lake. We love the cottage, and it has everything we need for our small family.

The view from this home is gorgeous as is the whole property!!! Even when you're in the house The water view is complete as the home is very close to the water. I can't think of a single thing that was lacking.

Spent our mini honeymoon here and it was perfect! Clean, quiet, and private and close to some beautiful hiking and bike trails! Loved exploring the area :)

My friend and i spent a few days here at the end of September and we could not have wished for anything more. The home is compact but had everything we could have wanted. It was squeaky clean and decorated so beautifully. The kitchen had all the pots, pans and accessories that we needed. The weather was great for early fall and we used the kayaks everyday. The stone stairs into the water made it very easy to get in and out and even take a quick swim. We enjoyed watching the boats going by while sitting on the dock.Debbie's check in and check out process was quick and easy and we will definitely visit again.

This was the best labor day weekend ever. My family and friends loved it! The location is wonderful and the view of the lake is a charm. The cottage is beautiful, well equipped and had everything we needed including the dock. We will definitely miss the place and rent again as soon as possible.

Our stay was just what we needed to wrap up our summer. Debbie was responsive and went above and beyond to provide us with extra kayaks to enjoy the lake as a family. We hope to come back next year to this charming lakeside retreat.

My husband and I loved our week at the cottage! It was the first time we rented so close to our own home, and we are so glad we did. It was great to have the dock for our boat. My husband and adult son went fishing each morning and evening. My son caught and released 9 trout! We swam, kayaked, and went paddleboarding (we brought our own). My favorite part was having my morning coffee on the dock. So peaceful. The lake gets busy in the afternoons, and it was fun to watch all the boating activity. We hope to stay again next year!

The property and location were wonderful. The owner was lovely and a pleasure to deal with. She even went above and beyond to provide us with additional kayaks

The cottage was more than perfect for what we needed. I was traveling with my elderly parents that grew up on the lake and finding a place for them to stay was difficult. This worked out perfectly. It is single level with only three steps up to the door. My dad just sat and watched the fall color and the boaters on the lake. The cottage had the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. The location was great and I could not ask for anything more. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This was our second time staying at this house and it was as easy and comfortable as the last time. We had time to visit with our sister and the place made it a comfortable gathering place. The fireplace provided atmosphere as well as our beautiful surroundings! This is now our "go to" spot for our annual reunion. It is comfortable has ever convience and the house situated on a perfect lake! It just all round terrific! Thank you Deb and Jim for a great time!!

Highland Lake , in my eyes is the BEST . I was born in Winsted but moved for Fl in 1984. Going back home , and having a place like the Cottage means more to me then most people can understand. Morning exercises on the patio in the sun. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the great view, wild life , boaters, skiers, fisherman and kayakers. My bike even made the trip, I had a few little tests on the hills as well as swimming almost daily. My wife got to ski thanks to a great friend who never left Winsted. Also hours spent with Family and Friends.

Very cute little cottage. Beautiful location with spectacular view from the back porch. Very clean with nice amenities. Would definitely stay again.

Our place on the Lake was adorable The setting was perfect and the cottage was tastefully decorated , inviting and spotless! Jimmy had our entrance down to a science, which we appreciated, no glitches and he even invited us to leave a bit past the usual time as no one was expected that day. We thought that bc was so considerate of he and his wife (Debbie?). We had a wonderful sister's weekend" and couldn't be mor pleased. Planning on making it an annual visit! Couldn't have been more perfect! Thank you!

I booked this cottage for little retreat for myself. I enjoyed every moment of my quite weekend. The views of the lake from the bedroom, kitchen and living areas are wonderful. Sat on the dock and relaxed. The bed and couch were very comfortable for napping, sleeping and relaxing in. The cottage was very clean and well kept. I think I will be making this an annual retreat for myself. The owners were very friendly.

We had a Great time , at My lake , thanks to Jimmy and Debbi. It was Great being back home. I know you use Our Cottage, you need to add Our Cottage / The Ritz. Wake up , and open up the Blinds and lay back a bit with a Great Water front view, fisherman going by the home slow in small fishing boats and Kayaks . For a 2 bedroom on the lake , City water and walking distance to a Great natural Spring for great drinking water , were we filled Gallons each day, I don't think your Cottage , can be beat. !!!

Small but has everything needed to enjoy a great stay on the water . We spent 90% of our time on the water and made use of the dock for our boat . We grilled steaks and made lots of family memories while enjoying the lake view . Thank you for sharing your home with us . We had a great time .

This little house had everything necessary for a great long weekend. Perfect location on the lake. Kayaked and enjoyed late afternoon cocktails by the water.

My fiancé and I were able to book this cottage for a brief respite while in town for a family wedding. The house is located close to a cute little Main Street where we found everything we needed to get through the weekend. Although the pictures are accurate to the actual accommodations, we were pleasantly surprised at the stunning view and tranquil surroundings. Our main goal for the weekend was to go hiking which we throughly enjoyed at nearby people's state park (moderate level hike). Other then that we were happy to relax on their awesome deck and watch the occasional waterskiier go by! The actual cottage was more then sufficient and charmingly decorated. We found everything we needed and more. Looking forward to a possible return in the future.
