It was in a good location

Tge building had no receptionist and I found it quite empty and weird walking to my room armed with only a code. The room was fine. Pillow was hard but it was perfectly clean.

Gostei bastante dos quartos, que acabou por ser um apartamento, onde tínhamos cozinha também. Gostei do serviço e da limpeza, que foram impecáveis. O local é relativamente perto da praia, e muito perto do metro. Tem também uma pastelaria por baixo, e um Minipreço por perto, que foi conveniente.

Apenas não vi o balde do lixo, na cozinha.

Sehr sauber. Gute Lage. Zimmer klein, aber mit allem nötigen ausgestattet und Modern. Personal beim Check in sehr freundlich.

Leider so extrem laut, dass ich nur wenige Stunden jede Nach schlafen konnte. An einem Abend hat eine Person sehr laut portugiesisches Fußball geguckt und laut geschimpft. Und jeden Morgen ab 5 Uhr ca. war eine extrem laute Backmaschine direkt unter meinem Zimmer an. Außerdem roch mein ganzes Zimmer nach Gebäck. Trotz geschlossenem Fenster viel zu laut. Man hört alles von den anderen Gästen... :( Sonst wäre es gut gewesen. Schade.

Slightly quirky in some ways but also quite magnificent. You are next to Matosinhos Sul tram stop so great for getting to Porto or to the airport. You have to check in at another B and B about 100 yards away and then you are given an entry code and a code for your room. I was a bit out of my comfort zone with this but it worked perfectly. The receptionist at the other B and B was extremely helpful, explaining everything in detail and providing information about Matosinhos. Check in was not until 3pm so she stowed my bags securely until then. The room itself was small but beautifully fitted out. I had everything I needed and there were plenty of cafes close by for the evening meal and breakfast, which the guest house itself does not provide.

I thought this was excellent value and I would not look to change anything.

The Bed was very comfortable. The room was very small, but it met all of my needs. There was a very good pizza place down the block, and I really enjoyed the meal. It was just a short walking distance.

It did what it said on the tin. The TV in the room was a bonus. Staff were helpful and let me leave a bag after checkout.

No complaints. Small room was expected and no problem for a couple of nights. Coffee making facilities would be nice.

Location is great. Size of the apartment was great for 2 adults and 3 kids

Noisy tram outsudefrom early hours but it wasn't the worst thing.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable bedroom. Very central location and with easy access to the beach. It was perfect for one person for a business trip.

Things to improve: They don't tell you that you need to do the check in in another building nearby. I would prefer to be told to go there directly. The place is not suitable for people with mobility issues - that should be made clear. The room is quite small - there is no wardrobe or a place to put a suitcase, so not suitable for staying longer than a couple of nights.

It was clean and well located.

The receptionist was in a different building and not it the guest house itself.

The location was great, close to a very huge supermarket and close to the Portuguese Camino route.

Maybe the room was a little bit small.

For what was needed very good.

Wifi a bit hit and miss.

Central location five minutes from the beach. Very clean compact room.

Walls are paper thin and could hear neighbour’s conversations and when using the bathroom. Lack of common area/reception. Checkin is at sister accommodation along the street.

Great place to stay in Matosinhos. Close to everything, lovely and helpful staff. All of us got the flu during our stay in Matosinhos and we had to stay five days extra at the hotel to be well enough to be able to travel home. Hotel staff were absolutely wonderful and despite it being Easter and the hotel booked, they managed to find rooms for all of us so we didn't have to change hotels, just walk across the hall : ) I am very grateful to the São Francisco for helping us out, staff always pleasant to us, coming to our room/apartment so we could pay, we didn't have to check out in between changing rooms etc.

Only negative would be that the WiFi didn't work for us.

The Check-In was very friendly and the bed was for me comfortable. Everything was very clean.

The Check-In was a 100 Meters away from the original Location. The Room was very very small, had no closet and the view out of the Window was a gray a Wall.

Proximity to the sea

Close to the ocean, metro and Lidl (shop). Very clean. Relatively cheap. Ok for a few nights.

Very small room on a noisy street (The building was also very noisy - you can hear stairs, other guests, etc.). Little window to see in the bathroom from the rest of the room was just weird.
