I stayed here for 6 months, and it was wonderful! Stunning garden, in a fantastic neighborhood, walking distance to great shops and restaurants, charming and immaculate apartment. The apartment has beautiful art deco tiles in the bathroom, and gorgeous tiles, and tiled floor in the kitchen. The bed is also very comfortable. Lots of sunshine and light, a balcony with a table/chairs to enjoy the luscious, fragrant garden, and calming sound of the pond fountain. The property is very well maintained and managed by Natalie, and Stephen, who are gracious hosts, and excellent communicators. They take great care of their guests, ensuring that your stay will be five star, and memorable. Thank you Natalie and Stephen, for such a magical experience. I can’t wait to come back soon!

We stayed a month at Natalie's property and were very happy. Steve and Natalie were very accommodating and we appreciated the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It is an oasis in a vibrant part of town. We were in Santa Monica to welcome our new grandson and the location was perfect for us to walk to our kids' house as well as walks to the Palisades, Whole Foods and Peets. We cooked most of our meals and appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. We hope the property is available for our next visit.

This place was perfect for all our ... well, everything
The garden is beautiful, lush, and a pleasure to look at and walk through which of course occurs daily! The space is completely adequate for 2; the kitchen is well-supplied.. The neighborhood is a joy to walk around with most needs fulfilled without driving. Mary Ann is responsive and wonderful. What to say? I don't wax poetic but we are returning! Thank you.

Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, and quiet!
Mary’s place is absolutely beautiful. It had everything I needed for my 5-month stay. Mary was very accommodating throughout my whole stay, and even brought me lemons fresh from her garden. Her place is within walking distance to numerous pharmacies, grocery stores, and restaurants. Her garden is an escape from the busy city life, and the whole setting is very tranquil. I 100% recommend staying at Mary’s place- the price is right, and it has everything you need, and more!

My special hideout!
This is my very special place every winter while i work in LA. MaryAnn Jordan is always there when ever you need anything (usually with a grapefruit or fresh lemons from her beautiful garden.) I miss this enchanted hobbit hole the minute I leave.

My enchanting home away from home.
For 4 years Mary Ann Jordan's garden has been my winter home while working in Los Angeles. Each night i come home from work to the smell of jasmine, the gentle bubble of the fountain, the soft cooing of the doves, the casita is my spiritual refuge. Mary Ann Jordan has become a dear friend to all of us who stay here, we are so lucky to share her beautiful home and the gardens that she has lovingly created herself. A little piece of Heaven>
My third winter stay at this beautiful haven in the sky. Every night to go to sleep with the doves cooing,to wake up to the hummingbirds greeting the morning over this beautiful garden. It is the most enchanting and beautifully maintained property in Santa Monica, I would stay permanently if I could.

The perfect little place
The Garden Casita is really a pretty little retreat, just perfect after a busy day in LA. It's like a hotel suite with a cute kitchen, well equipped and with everything you need.
The garden itself is adorable, with citrus trees, lounge chaise longues/sun bed, a little fountain and beautiful flowers everywhere.
The place is calm and serene and the suite was clean and fresh. Mary Ann is an adorable property owner, who really provides perfect customer service and meets all your needs.

Lovely, impeccable, and quiet, the apartment had everything that I needed. The gardens below are beautiful and add a nice touch. Location is perfect. I'd recommend to anyone and plan on coming again myself.

Charming, bright studio in Santa Monica
Studio is bright, well-apointed, with everything one needs for a pleasant stay. Everything is provided, from bed linens, bath linens, and kitchen supplies. The studio looks out onto a lush, colorful garden with lots of beautiful flowers, shrubs, and trees. A 2-3 min. walk from uscale Montana Ave., with its stylish shops and many cafes and restaurants in the heart of Santa Monica.

The place was perfect. It was clean and quiet, The property is right in the upscale Montana Ave. neighborhood so we felt very safe. Shops and restaurants are within blocks of your door. We had a very relaxing vacation.

This is our second time staying at Garden Casita. The apartment is small and cozy, making it feel very welcoming. Mary Ann is a delight. We will always stay here when we are in Santa Monica.

Very nice, well equipped and clean appartment. Feels like living there. The garden ist beautifull with many options to spend the day on various confortable chairs. We loved the small table and chairs on the balcony - ideal for breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. Landlord and neighbors very nice. Walking distance to Montana Ave with shops, restaurants, cinema etc. WiFi worked ok, but could be a little stronger (good reception only when standing close to the window). Will definately come back (have been there the second time).

What a privilege it was for me to stay in this place. MaryAnn, the owner takes such pride in her property. She cares deeply about her visitor's comfort. I was extremely comfortable! the bed was great, the bedding was soft, the furnishings were lovely and the garden grounds were amazing! The location allowed me to do things like yoga classes, dining and shopping without a car. I love to walk so walking to the beach was doable as well. Month long stay in Santa Monica
What a privilege it was for me to stay in this place. Mary Ann, the owner, takes such pride in her property. She cares deeply about her visitor's comfort. I was extremely comfortable! The bed was great, the bedding was soft, the furnishings were lovely and the garden grounds were amazing! The location allowed me to do things like yoga classes, dining and shopping without a car. I love to walk so walking to the beach was doable as well. I had a fantastic time and will definitely go back. Thank you MaryAnn!

Review of charming studio apt. in Santa Monica
Very nice studio apt. in lovely part of Santa Monica, close to the chic Montana Ave. The unit is very clean, nicely appointed, and has everything one needs for a vacation. It is also nice and light and overlooks a lush garden of beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs, which are very restful and relaxing. there is a washer and dryer on the premises (very convenient) and car parking on the street is free and always available.

This was the first time we've stayed at a VRBO property and we we're very happy. The location is great. Street parking was easy. Good neighborhood. Small apartment, but quite adequate if you are going to be away most of the day, as we were for the 16 days we were there. Very, very nice gardens.
We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

I can't tell people enough how much I love this place! The bedroom was cozy and clean with a comfortable bed that rivals any luxury hotel bed. The garden was so pleasant to walk through each day. The Garden Casita are fantastic little studios tucked away in a beautiful garden setting with water features, fruit trees and sitting area's designed for two. They have everything you will need to prepare a meal or just sit out enjoying a glass of wine in the garden. The bed was so comfortable that i found myself finding it difficult to get up in the morning! All in all a great little place to stay within reach of lots of dining, drinking and nightlife or just to head down to the beach and local community pool. I highly recommend this place for a couple looking for somewhere quite to stay that's not far from everything you should need while in Santa Monica.

The Garden Apartment is exactly as pictured, and I very much enjoyed my stay there. Mary Ann is definitely a pro at this.
I was in Santa Monica on business, but when I wasn't working and driving, I was thrilled to be able to walk half a block to Montana Ave where there was everything I needed during my off hours...Coffeeshops, shopping, restaurants and even the Aero - an Art House theater where I caught two classic Fellini films.
The neighborhood was quiet and great for walking too. I'll return.

I had an excellent stay for a month in May. It has certainly exceeded my expectations.
The studio is very charming, quiet and relaxing, with a balcony overlooking a lush garden, in a great neighborhood close to the ocean and all local facilities. So perfectly located! Very safe area, wonderful place to stroll.
I was so pleased with this delightful studio. Fully equipped, really comfortable. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Definitely, the ideal place to stay when visiting L.A.
I would highly recommend it to everyone, especially women traveling alone and visitors without a car (like me). I look forward to staying there again!

Dear Mary Ann,
Tomorrow morning we depart for home. We have enjoyed our stay in Santa Monica..........sad to leave in many ways. It was a joy to stay in such a well cared for property. Our "home away from home" was comfortable, clean, well equipped and decorated nicely. Your yard is right out of Better Homes and Gardens........what a pleasant view from our deck. Of course you know how much Tom enjoyed the lemon trees. Thank you.
Hopefully we can repeat a month's visit again next year.

This is a lovely property! It is in a wonderful area of Santa Monica with many places to walk. It is a convenient place to stay being 25 minutes from downtown LA and West Hollywood. The apartment is clean and welcoming. The gardens on this property are amazing. It is quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this property!
