Au coeur de la Russian River Wine Valley -Le Grenier au Red Château est situé au dernier étage d'un ancien chalet de la rivière avec une entrée privée. Dès l'entrée, vous avez l'impression d'être entré dans une charmante cabane dans les arbres. Avec plus de 600 pieds carrés et des équipements modernes, l’espace présente des angles uniques, un design intéressant, de nombreuses fenêtres avec vue sur la forêt et la cascade, ainsi que de superbes vieilles fenêtres arrondies en «verre courant». Bien que n'étant pas un château et non plus rouge, le nom est resté depuis 1929. L'espace vous invite à vous détendre dans le coin de la fenêtre d'angle avec un livre ou siroter du vin dans le salon en face de la cuisinière pour la détente en hiver confortable. Pour les mois plus chauds, il y a une terrasse privée et un sentier qui mène à une plage de sable sur la rivière Russian où la baignade, le kayak et les bains de soleil sont populaires, à environ 7 minutes à pied du parc d'état Steelhead Beach. L'emplacement idéal vous permet de vous aventurer dans n'importe quelle direction pour une abondance de vignobles, d'excellents restaurants et de nombreuses activités et activités estivales. What a cool little spot - the unit is outfitted with everything you need, and nothing you don't need. The location is awesome, it's right near Steelhead Beach and a few miles from both Forestville and Guerneville. The unit does get a little hot being on the top floor, but a few fans and open windows make it perfect in the evening. Was even able to cook a few meals there. Absolutely 10/10 and will definitely return. Thanks Russ for the communication and assistance during the stay, can't wait to come back!

Just a lovely little place to stay. Russ was a perfect host. The Attic was perfect for the 2 of us. A great position and close to all amenities. Loved the decor and the outlook. So good that we are staying again in a couple of weeks.

Look in any direction and you’re looking at the upper branches of trees. In addition, the patio areas around the house are full of beautiful and well-maintained potted plants and flowers. Great location for access to wine country or the sea coast. Russ is a friendly and helpful host.

Perfect place for a jump off point for the Russian River Valley. The Attic is nicely put together, cozy, and off the beaten path. Loved playing cards on the secluded deck.
Russ was quick to respond when we couldn't figure out how to access Netflix:) Hope to maybe someday make it to Russ's rental in Mexico. Highly recommend the Attic in the Red Chateau!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Attic nestled in the beautiful trees. Charming and eclectic. The views out every window we’re amazing! Location close to all the wineries. The one way street is a little crazy to get to the house so recommend checking in before dark. The recommendation for dinner at the Russian River Pub by the owner was greatly appreciated! The food was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our stay at the Red Chateau was absolutely magical. The spot is a perfect getaway for two. We went wine tasting, fine dining and cooked a few meals too. Sitting under the stars on the incredible patio was a highlight. We’ll be back in a few months and I know where we’ll be staying!

We had a lovely time at The Attic. It’s close to wineries, great restaurants, and the Redwoods. It’s an adorable place for two. We loved watching the trees sway outside the antique windows as we enjoyed our morning coffee. We will definitely be back!

The attic is the perfect size for 2 people, with a very small but functional kitchen. We were disappointed that basic amenities such as toilet paper and paper towels were not provided. I’m sure Russ would have responded quickly but we bought some at the store instead.

We knew very little about Sonoma County, so we had no idea how perfect this location is... easy access and so close to the well-known and lesser known super-cute towns, and only about 25 minutes from the ocean. Great restaurants everywhere, of course. And you can walk to a great little beach on Russian River from the house. Russ, the host, is great guy and a good communicator, so everything was easy. And the place itself is SO sweet. Beautifully and tastefully decorated, but practical, too. Bedroom has beautiful huge window looking out on trees and skyline. Bathroom is luxurious. We picked this place largely for the price and the "idea" of "the attic," but we got so much more. You will love it.

Just as described, this attic property is comfy and cozy. Bed is good, and roomy bathroom. It has lots of windows for light and views of forest trees. It is sized just right for 2 people. River is a close walk. Lots of wineries to explore nearby.

The heaters kept us warm during the chilly evenings and mornings. It was wonderful to have all the amenities for tea and coffee. It is a short scenic drive into Guernsville. Escape to the trees
The unit was exactly as advertised. It had a private entrance off of a deck and a 360 degree view of trees. Driving the one-way road for the first time at night would be tricky, but part of the adventure. Unit is perfect size for a couple, with a small but very functional kitchen. Great unit and a little off the beaten path.

Chateau in the treetops
Such a relaxing time in the Chateau. Russ has thought of the little things that go the extra mile. From the home made soaps in the bathroom, to the beautiful furnishings. It was delightful to wake up with a view of the trees outside. Wear your eye mask if you don't want to wake up with the birds. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, drinking wine and visiting with the local cat. Would definitely return.

We stayed over the New Year weekend and had a wonderful time! This was our second stay at the property and can't wait to make a third reservation. The home is well-stocked and filled all our needs. This is the place to go for a nice, quiet stay - close enough to the ocean and all what else you might want to do in the area. See you again soon!
