Lovely Apartment above Hastings Old Town
L'appartement s'ouvre sur le jardin de notre maison édouardienne, au-dessus de la vieille ville de Hastings. La chambre principale a un lit à baldaquin confortable, la deuxième chambre a des lits superposés à baldaquin! L'appartement dispose d'une cuisine moderne comprenant un lave-vaisselle, d'une salle de bain avec douche à l'italienne et d'un charmant salon avec porte-fenêtre à la française et d'un confortable feu à gaz au charbon de bois vivant pour vous réchauffer après une promenade vivifiante en automne. L'appartement est idéal pour quatre personnes mais le canapé du salon se transforme en un petit lit double pour un ou éventuellement deux. Il y a beaucoup à faire dans et autour de Hastings. La vieille ville, le bord de mer et le parc naturel sont tous accessibles à pied. Par conséquent, que vous aimiez la chasse aux antiquités, le peignage sur la plage ou les promenades ventées, vous êtes sûr de trouver de quoi vous occuper. Descendre à travers la vieille ville sur le front de mer et la galerie Jerwood prend environ 15 minutes.

The appartment is very beautiful, cosy, clean and calm and ideal for a family with kids. The owners Clare and Andrew are very friendly and helpful and supported us out with maps and recommendations about the area and train and bus-use. We traveled with our own car from Germany and it is possible to park close to the house.
It is okay to use the pretty garden.. We really, really want to recommend this offer! We had a perfect stay there at Clares and Andrews house and want to say thank you for all. We would like to come back, if we come back to Hastings / Sussex.

Beautiful space, perfect as a base to explore the area. Garden is immaculate and with a lovely veranda area to sit outside. Clare and Andrew were welcoming and helpful. Well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you may need and also some condiments. Lovely bathroom with a great power shower and plenty of hot water. Bed was really comfortable. Lots of local information leaflets and games (plus Lego) to keep all ages entertained if the weather is not kind.

My husband, infant and I stayed for three nights at this wonderful rental. We appreciated the impressive antiques in the home, the beautiful gardens, and the warm cozy fireplace. The place was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. We bought some groceries in town and made breakfast each morning. Clare and Andrew were both very kind and helpful when we needed them. The flat is a nice walk into town through pedestrian walkways. Our baby is still small enough that she was very easy to carry up and down the hill, but when we needed to take a taxi, it came quickly and brought us into town for a very affordable price of six euros. The bus route can also drop you off a block away from the house which we utilized a few times. Andrew recommended a few restaurants that were delicious. The flat was perfect for our needs and we would glady return.

Warm welcome we received from Clare and Andrew. Absolute lovely people to talk to. Clare helped us for our trip and informed us with a perfect kids walk up to the east cliff.
House is perfect for a family (we have 3 kids). We could use the garden and had breakfast there in the sunny morning. We absolutely enjoyed this garden! Easy walk to the Hastings center.

We were now guests for the second time in this well-kept, cozy accommodation with a view of the beautiful garden. The location is very quiet and perfect for walks into the old town and on the west and east hills.

I am not sure where to start...this was a great base from which to explore Southeast England. Beautiful flat with comfy beds overlooking a lovely garden and view of Hastings. I was a little worried with our 6 foot boys that they would struggle with the bunk beds but they had no issues.We found on street parking was always available. A small grocer around the corner is nice and laundry is not to far away.

Despite having probably the worst weather in months and Hastings flooding, we had a lovely time. Apartment is a quirky period place with an enormous main bedroom and large living room. Owners were lovely and kept the property lovely and warm, really needed in the awful rain and wind.
Garden is beautiful, even in the rain.
There are stairs down to the apartment, just a note in case you have mobility issues.

A nice English stay over on our stop in Hastings. The location is beautifull, and a 10-15 minute walk brings to to the old hasting city center, from which you can reach all the attractions. Housing was clean and sufficient for the stay.

I chose this accommodation because of the good reviews and I was not disappointed. The hosts were very friendly. The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished. In the kitchen was everything you needed. The garden is beautiful and it was wonderfull to have breakfast or just to sit there. We felt very comfortable.

Wonderful apartment
The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and well maintained. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and made for a very relaxing and peaceful respite for our family after several days in London. The owners were very kind and attentive and the apartment is in a lovely neighborhood and an easy walk to shops and pubs. Beautiful clean bright and spacious self catering accommodation in a quiet location but near all the amenities that Hastings has to offer. Added bonus of doors from sitting room opening out on to a veranda overlooking a lovely garden. Friendly hosts and good communication about booking and any problems.

Very easy process and a nice property with a beautiful garden. The property is well maintained, extremely clean and feels news and fresh. We didn't have a car but found plenty to do around Hastings and surrounding area.

A lovely little break in a period property.
Comfy beds with quality bed linen, good shower and delightful lounge looking over the beautiful garden. Would have liked to have walked to the old town and seafront but the weather was too bad unfortunately. A short drive takes you to the front and the quaint old town with an array of antique shops, restaurants and coffee shops.

Very happy in Old Hastings
My partner and I stayed for a weekend break at the end of April and a had a lovely relaxing time. Flat is light and airy, clean, modern with a very comfortable 4 poster bed. Lounge opened out onto a peaceful garden, great for drinks as the sun went down. Well situated for visits to Battle, Rye and to walk into Old Hastings. Would definitely recommend at least a weekend as plenty to see and do. Thank you Andrew and Clare.

Beautiful & quiet garden flat near Hastings Old Town
This was our second stay at the property and we loved it as much as our first. Large French windows open onto a sheltered patio area above the beautiful garden. We spent most evenings here enjoying the garden views, fresh air and peace & quiet. The main bedroom and living room are huge with lots of natural light, beds are comfortable and separate WC very practical. Our children were delighted that the property has Netflix! The kitchen is small but functional, and has all necessary appliances. The location is excellent: within walking distance of the Old Town but in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. The hosts who live in the house above the swlf-contained flat are friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. We hope to return again soon!
