We had a lovely stay in the upper flat of the house. You feel very peaceful and relaxed as there’s not much around save the insects, birds and flowers - although it’s very quick and easy to get into town for dinner etc. We loved the view of the marina and enjoyed eating breakfast on the terrace. The bed is super comfy and the rooms are very quiet so we had some excellent sleep. The place is keen and the housekeeper comes every day to tidy up. Mauro the host is very kind and gave us a bottle of homemade olive oil which we enjoyed with fresh tomatoes from his orchard! Delicious! We enjoyed Porto Ercole on the whole and Mauro suggested hiring a boat which is something we would highly recommend. Thank you Mauro!

There’s a few insects around especially at night but this is normal for the area - the property has lots of insect repellent stuff anyway!

Private lodging, everyday cleaning, robes provided, beautiful setting with view of water and mountains, vegetable garden & olive trees & roses, walking distance to Porto Ercole, wifi, excellent accommodations for cooking and short walk to market, friendly and very helpful/responsive owner that speaks English very well.
