Sea Glen offers plenty of space and is conveniently located with a bus stop right out front. The deck is a great feature, providing a nice spot to sit outside and relax with the family. The yard is a nice size and well maintained.

Sea Glen has a lot of potential, but the owner needs to invest in some essential repairs, especially considering the rental price. The cottage shouldn't be rented out in its current condition; at the very least, the bathrooms need fixing. When we arrived, the fans weren't working. Since there's no AC, functioning fans are crucial in the summer. We contacted the rental company, and they brought a fan, which was helpful. However, we then discovered the bedroom fan was also broken, so we ended up buying a fan ourselves. The blinds in the main bedroom were broken, but we contacted the management company and they sent someone to fix them. The main bathroom had several issues: the light switch was broken, the soap dish was worn down, and the toilet rocked. The second bathroom had mildew and mold, which aggravated my asthma. We reported this to the management company and sent photos. They sent someone to inspect it, but both bathrooms remain in rough shape and need refreshing. Additionally, some windows had missing or broken screens, and the bed frame in the second bedroom with twin beds was missing nuts and bolts. The stove burners also didn’t work properly. Lastly, although it didn’t bother us, it's worth noting that there is a tenant living below the rental. This should be mentioned in the listing as an FYI.

The place had many issues related to poor maintenance. Broken toilet paper dispenser. Broken or missing slats in the window blinds. Fan in the bathroom stayed on unless you put a piece of paper in the switch. Sliding door did not lock a stick was holding it closed. Missing cover over electrical box on the heater. Missing cover on electrical outlet. Drain on sink in the bathroom didn't work. Door knob falling off. No extra blankets. Only one hanger in the closet. Broken glass in the front outside light. Rot and mold around the shower door. Terrible paint job, covered all outlets and switches with white paint.

The property was located near a convenient bus stop. The porch was also a nice feature.

Air conditioning would have been nice. There were bugs that would come in through the windows in one of the bedrooms due to a broken screen.

Did not know owners were living in basement , missed that when I booked , doubt the place was zoned for two family

It was DIRTY! There were bugs!!! Dead and alive all throughout the rental. Including in all the beds! All the sheets, blankets and towels had yellow and black stains on them. There were spiderwebs, spiders (huge ones) moths, ants and we think one of the bugs might have been a cockroach!!! I walked from the kitchen to the living room in white socks.. when I sat down they were black. All the floors were filthy and stained. There was only one towel set per person and we were there for three days. We were told there was going to be a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board in the rental. However when we arrived there was no laundry facilities and we could not find the iron and ironing board. When we called management to ask where these things were they didn’t respond. Eventually we found the iron in one of the bedroom closets under a dirty window screen but no ironing board. In the kitchen the counters and table were stained, chipped, sticky and were covered with ants and little flying bugs. We had to clean them ourselves before putting our groceries away. The broom and dust pan that was provided were broken. Most doors throughout the rental would not close all the way and did not lock. The hand soap that was provided was water down... more water than soap. A couple of days before we arrived at the rental I called to ask if we could check in early as we were due to arrive on the island 9:30 AM. They said that due to Covid check in time had to be 4 PM because extensive cleaning and protocols had to be followed. Part of those protocols was that after the extensive cleaning of the rental it had to be aired out 24 hours before the next rental party comes in. This was a lie! As stated above the house was disgustingly dirty and when we arrived on the island we drove past the rental to see where it was. When we drove by there was another rental family packing their car and getting ready to leave!!! There is no air conditioning! The first night there it was to hot to sleep.

The beds were comfortable!

The house is dated, needs a paint job, new blinds, new comforters on the twin beds, grass cut, pathway leveled out, and the pictures are very deceiving, it’s no where near the water and it’s actually in Vineyard Haven not Oaks Bluff. This rental is no where worth the money.
