Insolite et calme tout en étant si proche de la place, c'est une configuration parfaite pour une famille, un week-end entre filles ou même pour des écrivains et des journalistes. Shelbie, un architecte d'intérieur et conservateur historique, voulait garder l'intégrité historique de la maison tout en la rendant confortable pour les temps modernes.
Le chalet dispose de deux chambres (salle de la galerie: lit complet et salle de couette: deux lits jumeaux) avec deux salles de bain complètes, y compris une cuisine entièrement équipée, un salon et un cellier / buanderie avec une laveuse et une sécheuse. Un vieil arbre de noix de pécan énorme ombrage le porche arrière confortable garni de chaises berçantes de qualité et d'un patio avec une table de pique-nique. Si vous aimez cuisiner dehors… eh bien il y a aussi un gril pour tout le monde à utiliser!
Heavenhill est à distance de marche de Hewlett Park et de la City Beach (sérieusement juste MINUTES!). Si vous aimez les antiquités, alors vous avez de la chance! Le centre commercial antique de Heavenhill & Witherspoon partage des arrière-cours! Situé à seulement 3 pâtés de maisons de la place, vous pouvez presque tout faire à pied ou à vélo! The property needs alot of work
The charm of the place is how old it is, at the same time modernization is welcome in some areas. No dish washer. Really not much in the way of plates ect. The living room furnishings need alot of help. You certainly could have nice clean furniture to look old but isnt, not comfortable for lounging at all. The bathroom rugs have no backing and are very slippery. The lighting is not good. No cable tv. The double bed is too small for a couple. I dont like the cobwebs. And didnt care for the waterbugs. The house does not smell good at all, smells like an antique store, plug ins would be great. The decor is antique but not nice antiques. I would love to redo that place, it could be really great

Each year, My wife and I celebrate our Wedding Anniversary with a stay at a unique accommodation. We both enjoy Granbury, which prompted our search for a rental property there. We found HH on the VRBO site and made our reservations after viewing the information there. We enjoyed the quiet location coupled with the rustic preservation of the place. The back porch and rocking chairs were very peaceful especially as it rained every day of our visit. Our host provided precise and accurate information on locating and accessing our rental.
All in all our choice did not disappoint. We would suggest an instruction sheet for the TV as we were puzzled for some time before stumbling through to get access to view movies. Nice stay for us!

Shelbie has thought of everything! Coffee and tea fixings, water bottles in the fridge, glasses chilling in the freezer for your beer. You can enjoy all of the above on on the back porch rocking chairs and enjoy the beautiful backyard view.
Bathrooms were also well appointed and clean.
The house is absolutely adorable. Great for a girls weekend. Location was perfect- just as advertised. I took Shelbie’s Granbury walking tour and learned all about the town’s history!

My husband and I brought our one year old for a little getaway. Shelbie’s house is the perfect spot to step back in time and enjoy the beauty around you. Perfect weekend getaway walking distance to lake and park and the downtown area. Kitchen a bit small but sufficient for breakfast omelets and pancakes along with tacos for a stay at home dinner. Treats available on arrival, kids loved that, and the games and videos kept us entertained before bedtimes.
Two baths and the distance between bedrooms is a plus as it provides a bit of privacy. And the antique shops and the edge of the property make for some interesting exploring.
It was a perfect spot for us grandparents with two grandchildren, 9 and 6, in tow. Very quiet at night with nice walking and jogging trails at the edge of the property. We would stay there again.

My sisters and I stayed at Shelbie’s cottage this weekend. We got there Friday night and enjoyed a movie on her entertainment system. Saturday was for taking pictures at her wooded, natural backyard and enjoying the short walk to local shopping and historical sites. Sunday, we leisurely rose, ate and checked out. Shelbie’s cottage had plenty of teas and coffees for us ( also snacks if we wanted.) The rooms were comfortable and cute. We like what she’s done with the place. We would come back. This place is a perfect getaway especially if you enjoy historical homes. Shelbie has done an amazing job preserving the history of the home while balancing the modern expectations of her visitors.
She was super easy to contact, reached out to us to check in making sure everything was fine and even went above and beyond by sending us a list of fun things to do in Granbury. She knew we had our 10 year old so she shared things that we could all enjoy.

Shelbie has done an amazing job on this home. It is truly a labor of love. Sitting in the rockers on the back porch drinking our coffee each morning was probably our favorite part! This house is a step back in time...Shelbie didn’t miss a single beautiful detail! What a great find! The house was wonderful. Historical but with all the modern conveniences. The record player was a nice touch for example. The location was perfect too. Steps away from the public beach; 5 minutes away from the town square and all the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful treat! Loved this home and it’s history. It was adequately stocked and appointed. Tastefully decorated and dutifully clean. My family of four enjoyed our walk to the square a few times, even in the pouring rain and chilly weather. The house was a warm and dry refugee the entire weekend. We loved the sound of the rain on the metal roof, sitting in the rocking chairs on the covered porch, and drawing at the kitchen table while listening to some great records.

We stayed at Heaven Hill for a much needed mother daughter trip. We loved everything about our stay. The house was equipped with everything we needed and then some! It was very clean and organized. Shelbie has made great use of every space in the house and her decorating is top notch. The location was excellent! It was too cold to walk to the shops and the square but it certainly was do-able in better weather.
We highly recommend Heaven Hill for those needing a small, quaint place to stay close to the historic square and some great restaurants in Granbury.

When I first walked into Heavnhill, I caught my breath. It was so identical to the farmhouse my husband grew up in. I immediately felt at home. My friends were shocked that I had found such a cute, relaxing place in such a great location. We were in awe of the entire place. the porch was the icing on the cake.
The down side we had was the furniture in the living room was not comfortable for sitting very long, We all have knee and back issues.. The twin beds were too soft for our back issues. Loved Heavenhill, 'but don't think I could stay again more than one night.
