A wonderful and peaceful stay on the water at Lake Kezar.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice sandy beach and grassy area. Screen porch was our favorite. Our dog loved looking out the door at the loons. The extra cabin was great for our 2 teenagers. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Definitely recommend. Thank you Janet for sharing your beautiful property!

This property, location and owner were all excellent. Very quiet area, yet reasonably close to shopping and other amenities. Owner was excellent to work with. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

This is a sweet little cottage right on the lake. Has most everything you need for a comfortable stay. Really enjoyed the dock and the boats and the little beach. Beautiful views of water and sky as the weather changes. There’s also a nice screened-in porch for hanging out and reading and just looking at the lake. The bathroom is tiny and if you had more than two people in the main place it might be a squeeze. But it’s certainly workable. Kitchen as well equipped. There were just two of us so we didn’t use the little guest cottage but that’s a nice space for an extra person or a couple. Check in and check out times are unusually late/early so your stay is cut short, which is a shame, especially given the rates.. Overall, recommend this place for a relaxing week on Laje Kezar.

We had lots of fun at this lake front cottage. There are kayaks, a canoe and a paddle board to use on the lake. Nice Sandy beach for swimming. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains from the cottage.

We loved our time at Leaning Pines. Kezar Lake was just what our family needed to relax and enjoy nature and each other. Janet is wonderful host who is kind, proactive and thoughtful, full of wonderful stories, respectful of guests privacy, and has thought of every detail to make the cottage perfect and family friendly - kayak, canoe, row boat and paddle board. Life jackets of all sizes, sand toys, charcoal a grill and fire pit. A fully stocked kitchen. So many great books maps and local resources. The most comfortable hammock I have ever been in. We didn’t need anything for our stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. The call of the loons every day was magical. Thank you for sharing this treasure with us!

We frequently rent houses for vacation and they usually aren't as clean as I would like. This was absolutely the cleanest home with all the kitchen amenities I could ask for. I didn't clean a thing! The cottage was lovely, quiet and so well cared for. We are already talking about coming back. This was the best cared for home I've ever stayed in!!!

We have rented more than 20 places with VRBO over that last few decades, and this cottage ranks at the top - for the view, the amenities, cleanliness, and prompt/helpful communication with the owner. Janet has thought of absolutely everything a guest would want - from kitchen equipment to boating equipment, from storage places to numerous seating arrangements to comfortably gather and gaze at the gorgeous lake. She even told us where to pick up wood nearby along Rt. 5 or West Lovell Rd. for the fire pit. The cottage is immaculate and she has gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure that guests needn’t fear COVID-19 contamination. We have returned to this area of Maine for family gatherings for many years and tell all our friends in CT that they must visit. Activities include taking a 20-minute easy hike up Jockey Cap in Fryeburg to see Mt. Washington in the distance, getting great produce at Weston’s Farm and Market, driving a loop north through Grafton Notch to stop at waterfalls and gorges, walking a pleasant greenway in Bethel, driving south of Andover to the old Lovejoy Covered Bridge and past a field of buffalo, taking a 2-hour cruise on the Songo Queen paddlewheel boat and then visit to the last surviving Songo River lock in Naples, biking 9 miles back and forth on the “rail-with-trail” Sebago to the Sea greenway from Otter Ponds on Rt. 35 in Standish to S. Windham, driving up to Hacker’s Hill Preserve on Quaker Ridge Rd. off Rt. 302 in Casco for a beautiful sunset view, picnicking and seeing a moose and other rehabilitated animals up close at the Maine Wildlife Park, and planning a future visit to Sabbathday Shaker Museum. There is LOTS to do here for people of all ages, from 3 to 99! Oh, and Kezar Lake is so clear that you can hop off the dock (fully clothed, no less) in mid- September and dive down to the bottom to retrieve your iPhone that fell out of your shirt pocket while bringing in the canoe. The nice warm shower feels good afterwards!

We enjoyed having an extra guest cabin for our kids who had a toddler. The screened in wrap around porch was nice to enjoy meals as a group. The kayaks, row boat, and stand up paddle board was also an additional asset since we did not have to pack up our own and bring them with us. Everything was very clean.

The cottage was exactly like I imagined and hoped it would be from the pictures, description and reviews. Over the 3 weeks my husband and I had several days alone to enjoy the cottage but also loved having our 3 grandchildren 2, 5 and 8 along with their parents join us. And on others days we welcomed friends to share this special place with us. The guest cottage that includes a full bath and laundry added the room We needed with privacy for our guests. We took advantage of the proximity to the surrounding mountains with hikes for all levels. North Conway and Bridgton were 20 -30 minutes away for shopping. Loved the fresh produce at Weston's and Sherman 's farm stands. A self serve corn stand opened only a few minutes from the cottage a few days after we arrived. Best corn ever! The waterfront is sandy and clean...perfect for swimming and fishing. Canoe, paddle board, kayaks and rowboat made fun activities for all. Leaning Pines was the best equipped rental property we have ever rented. All you need to bring are your clothes and food. Janet and Judy have made sure it was super clean and well stocked along with beach toys, games and movies. The side lawn was perfect for badminton, volleyball and croquet. The fire pit was lite and smores were a delicious hit a few nights. We had a few dinners and a lunch at the Pleasant Point Inn about 5 minutes away. A waterfront restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonable. Janet is delightful and is only a minute away should you need anything. I would give Leaning Pines 10 stars if I could...but please do not tell anyone about it....we want to come back asap!

Beautiful lake front property and home, plenty of room for our family of seven (ages 14-70). Sunrises across the lake. Easy to communicate with Janet. Great cold and warm water fishery. Firepit and marshmallows each night, do remember to bring your bug spray for twilight hours or simple retreat to the huge wrap around screened in porch. Will be back next summer!

We just got back from a perfect week on the lake. This cabin is just steps from the water and has everything you need - canoes, kayaks, hammock, fire pit... It’s clear this house has been cared for with love. We can’t wait to be back next summer!

Leaning Pines is a charming rental on Kezar Lake. The location, views and serenity of this rental's location are just what the doctor ordered. Additionally this is one of the most comfortable, well kept, well stocked rentals I've had the pleasure of renting in the state of Maine. (And I've rented a number of lake front properties in Maine over the past 6-7 years). Janet, the owner, has literally thought of everything - her pride of ownership is noticeable her attention to detail and the cleanliness of the property. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be renting it again!

This is one of our favorite places to stay! Kezar is magical, the camp is perfect for our family - clean, cute, and has everything we could ever need. Janet is very accommodating, kind, and always reachable. We cannot wait to come back!

We had a great stay with our infant and toddler. The place is well equipped for plenty of indoor and outdoor fun. We loved the little beach on the property. The owner pretty much thought of everything you could need. We would definitely stay here again.

As a child, I used to vacation on Kezar Lake with my family every August. I hadn't been back in 26 years before I rented Janet's cottage, and for me, it was the perfect place to unwind and escape from the big city. The cottage is clean, quiet, private, and well-maintained, with a kitchen that's stocked with just about any cooking utensil you could think of, and a screened-in back porch that's ideal for reading, writing, or just watching the lake and listening to the loons. Having a private beach and floating dock just steps from the back porch, complete with a kayak that's ready for the taking at any time, made my vacation here really enjoyable, and really memorable. I was also able to bring my little dog, who enjoyed her stay, too! Janet was super-responsive, as well, and always only a text message away. I will definitely be back!

We had a great family / friend vacation at this spot for a week this summer. Having two separate cottages on the property was perfect for our needs of good family time combined with a bit of privacy. The place was very clean (and we have high standards) and well equipped with cooking, bedding, and beach gear. The private sandy beach (unique for this lake) was a great feature that allowed us to comfortably let our kids access the water safely as they swam to and from the nearby raft. The wrap around porch was home to all of our meals and really just a nice bonus space for when we wanted to be outdoors but away from the elements from time to time. Janet was responsive to our questions and personal needs leading up to our trip and during. We even appreciated and used the cottage portfolio of things to do in the area and places to eat. Most of our time, however, was spent swimming, boating, and relaxing right from the property. Highly recommend Kezar Lake and this cottage!

Gorgeous view

Leaning Pines cabin is set just feet from the shores of Kezar lake. Janet has equipped the sparkling clean cottage with everything one would need to make lake living fully enjoyable. We spent endless hours kayaking, canoeing and simply floating to the docks. The area offers a wide selection of hiking trails. We particularly enjoyed the baldface loop and speckled mtn. Ebenezer Pub is down the way.....the best selection of brews ! We would highly recommend this rental. It has always met our vacation expectations and more!

This cottage has the best kitchenware (dishes, pots, frying pans, silverware, etc.) of any of the many places I've stayed! It's in a beautiful spot, the screened in porch is a joy, and the inside is so cozy with knotty pine walls and comfortable places to sit in the living room. The beds are also very comfortable. Really, it's a great place to stay!

We enjoyed everything about our stay here. Our older children loved having the guest cabin to themselves while our younger boys thought sleeping in the loft was perfect. My wife appreciated relaxing on the screen porch while the kids enjoyed the lake. We were thankful for the paddleboard, kayak, and rowboat provided by the owner. I liked the fact this camp is near the midway point of the lake. We were close to my favorite points of interest, like Farrington beach, the Marina, and my secret fishing spots. Overall, we found this property to be well appointed, perfect for a relaxing getaway. I would recommend this to anyone!

Our family has vacationed at Kezar Lake for the past 14 years, and happily six of them have been spent in this clean, comfortable cottage with spectacular views. The owner is lovely and will often accept a well-behaved pet. The secondary cottage with two twin beds and its own bathroom and laundry facilities is perfect for our growing teenagers who enjoy a little privacy. The water is pristine, and the location affords easy access to the nearby marina, great day hikes, biking, and even a drive-in movie theater a short distance away in Bridgeton. It is the one place we are all able to relax and enjoy as we wish. We have skipped this vacation only twice: one summer we went to Europe, and the other summer we went out West. Upon our return, both times, our children asked if we could just go back to Kezar Lake the following year. Hands-down our favorite place!
