Somewhat uphill walk to train station (10 mins)

You can either walk from Hakone Yumoto station or there's a bus stop Sammaibashi and walk 4 min to the property. It's a quiet neighbourhood. Nice view of the river from level 2 dinning area window. There's a small playground round the corner but it was raining so the children didnt get to try. Google made 7-11 look quite far away but actually it's just a little walk, easily within walking distance. No issue. Level 1 is a comfy bed. Level 2 & 3, futons are provided for but just need to set it up ourselves. Kitchen utensils was well equiped so we brought some stuff at 7-11 and had hot soup udon for dinner. yummy for the raining cold day. They also provided children bowl, fork and spoon.

Forgot about the climbing up and down the stairs might be a potential issue for the seniors with knees issues. The dinning area was on level 2. And night time, you can hear the other apartment people walking up and down the stairs (not much of a sound proof there)

The house itself was awesome!!! My kids loved the three stories and it was nice to have some real space. Everything was very clean and well-maintained! It is very cool! A nice surprise was a view of the river from one side of the house!

There were a few things that we didn't like. 1. The towels need to be replaced; they were old and didn't smell fresh. We would also benefit from having fresh towels each day or every other day. Easy fix. 2. It was odd that we had to pay for the washer and dryer. And it was tough to see the controls in that space - needed a flashlight. 3. The main drawback was the location. It was only a 10 minute walk away from the station however, that 10 minutes felt pretty far. We also had to walk through a very non-nice section in order to get to the house. If we had had a car, it would have been as big of a deal. However, I would have preferred to stay in a quaint location.

Found a shop which 100m away, they're selling vegetable and fruit with a good price, we bought twice.

Only don't like the washer dryer combo as the dryer wasn't drying my clothes

The building would be great without the bugs. The location is good.

The place is infested with cockroaches and centipedes. Trying to sleep here was a nightmare.

The accommodation was very clean and tidy. There was more than enough bed linen, with extra mattresses for the futons for extra comfort, which was appreciated. The kitchen was small but adequate. I had to contact the host on a couple of occasions and they responded almost immediately to any questions I had. There were a number of restaurants in the town and two small supermarkets.

The accommodation is right on the edge of the small town but easily walkable, so don’t be put off.

Complimentory tea bags would be nice. Instructions in English for automatic bathtub would be helpful.

Great space for families. Lots of room. It had Washing facilities which was a bonus when travelling.

I like the laundry and dry machine. Very convenient for traveler from other countries. Big parking space. Fast service response from the house host.

There still requires some improvement about the voice isolation. I can here other guests walks up and down.

The host is very responsive, and the directions given are very clear. The place was very comfortable and all the necessary equipment was easily accessible. Woke up to a beautiful environment as the house was just next to the small river...the flowing river sound was very soothing. Thank you.

Was not able to secure any onsen visit as most were fully booked. The restaurants in the area are closed too early! By 6pm, most are closed, and we were left with food from 7 eleven.

The property was very clean & attractively presented. It was great that it had two toilets.

Only thing that frustrated me was that I had to pay for washing machine.

Location was about 10 mins walk away from the train station and shopping area. Not too bad overall.
