The lady at the lobby in the AM shift was amazing. The one at night had a bad attitude. I requested the Jacuzzi at 8 PM and it was boiling hot, hot, not me or my friend could get in, I went to the front and requested to get it a little cold, 2 guys went and made it hotter and never brought towels after I asked for them twice. Big disappointment for a reunion I had with my friend after 20 years. The internet was a hot mess everywhere, it was very weak and got disconnected at all times even in the lobby. Forget about doing something in the room. The breakfast was awesome and the staff at the restaurant was very nice and helpful, however there were no champagne glasses. Not sure what the rate could be but definitely not even an 8.

I stayed at this hotel in early September for a few days. So when I was driving from Cali back to Bogota, it made sense to make another stop in Ibague at the same hotel. The first night I heard music outside my room, I hoped it would stop. The following day I was awakened by a bar (I think) next door playing loud music in its outside speaker. So I asked to move to the other side of the hotel. A couple of hours later, I started hearing a musical band and many people above me. I went outside my room to notice a full-on festival going on a few floors directly above me. I went downstairs to ask the Staff about it, and they seemed surprised until I mentioned calling the police. Then I was told that it was an approved party. I was then forced to move again at about 10:00 pm to sleep in the hotel room I paid for. Since I had paid for another night, I asked to have a refund of the following day's hotel costs so that I to leave a day earlier. The hotel staff asked me for my Colombian bank account information to return the unstayed day. I was confused since I did not use that account to pay for the stay but a USA Visa Credit Card. After digging through many stapled credit card receipts on paper, they finally found the credit card transaction. Then they said they needed to see my credit card account to verify it was indeed my account. Even though the Staff confirmed my account with my Colombian identification when I checked in. Additionally, my name is on the credit card, AND I showed them the transaction on my online account that led to the charge. They still insisted on screenshotting my account profile. My USA Credit Card with my name on it, plus my Cedula, was good enough to make the charge, BUT to return the money, it was not! The Manager, who spoke good English, was amiable and tried to resolve it, but the antiquated hotel procedures and lack of common sense overruled the situation.
