This is a great sprawling property where there's too much to do in one weekend. It was my 2nd time back and it was just as good as I remembered. Would highly recommend.
I gave the "Accuracy of Online Listing" rating 2 stars because it says "6 minute walk to Bandit Golf Course." This is true but misleading. If you want to play Bandit, it is a 17 minute drive unless you bring your own Guadalupe River ferry.

Our family of 18, ranging in age from 9 to 73 had a great time. We were well entertained with the pool, river and games. The kitchens (both indoor and outdoor) were equipped with everything you could possibly need. The sleeping accommodations worked out perfectly for our family.
Susanne was the perfect host. Her communication before, during and after our stay was excellent.
We certainly made some wonderful memories at this property. Everyone agreed this house was the perfect choice for our family vacation.

The property was beautiful!! We never had to leave. Everything we needed or wanted was on this property. We have 8 grandchildren and they had a blast!! Our hostess was wonderful. She communicated with us before, during and after the stay. Such a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be booking again next year!!

Our family LOVED this place. We had all ages stay, young teens, young adults, mid-age adults, and seniors and we all loved it. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was perfect and she answered every question we had. A minor maintenance issue popped up that she needed to have taken care of, she let us know there would be repairmen on site and that they would not need to be inside. They came, did what they needed to do and left quietly. I appreciated the heads up, and they did not interfere with our stay at all!
The beds were comfortable and every room was just as she had described. We will definitely stay here again

Property is as advertised, clean, well stocked kitchens, beautiful pool and hot tub, on a tributary of Lake McQueeney and you can paddle board on the lake. It's located on several acres with lots of privacy. Has a great outdoor kitchen by pool for cooking out. Recommend this for any large family gathering.

The house was great, especially the outdoor pool area. It was just as advertised, and Susanne was a great host. She was very responsive and made the whole process seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend this property.

This place was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING was to notch including the property owners. They made our stay better than a vacation. All the instructions were so detailed that we were even able to operate the wood fired pizza oven and enjoy some amazing pizza. None of us had ever used a wood fired pizza oven.
The outdoor entertaining area was better than being at a 5 star resort.
I hosted my daughter's baby shower during our stay and several of the guest were talking about making reservations for the property for different events.
I cannot say enough about this amazing property.
From the instance you drive into the front gate, all the way down the driveway, up to the amazing house and facilities.......TOP NOTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susamme and High Bank Ranch have become a yearly retreat for friends and family. We view this property as a regular vacation home everyone looks forward to visiting yearly. It has the room and amenities for everyone, and Susanne has been excellent at helping us plan and stay at the property each year. I can't wait for our next visit!

We researched a lot of properties for our first Family Reunion before we chose High Bank Ranch. This property did not dissapoint and the layout was perfect for our group. A BIG plus was the location on the river. Kayak's, floats and live jackets were provided and if you didn't want to get in the river there is a beautiful pool and spa to enjoy. The outdoor kitchen/living area is amazing and we found ourselves spending a lot of time outdoors. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and we took advantage of the grill and the oven that was available. Big hits were also the ping pong table and air hockey along with badmitten and corn hole. We also enoyed the outdoor TV. Aside from all of that, the house is immaculate and everything was well thought out from all of the supplies provided down to small details such as bathtub toys and soap for the kids. The pool house is amazing and is definitely a plus. It provides three additional sleeping areas, another kitchen and a fantastic downstairs bathroom and outdoor shower. The main house is gorgeous with plenty of sleeping room for everyone and provides amazing living spaces. The decor is beautiful and you will feel pampered after staying at this property. Susanne was amazing and easy to communicate with. We had very few questions but when we did she was quick to respond. We will consider booking this property again for future events and thought it was almost too nice to be a rental!

This was our group's second time staying at this beautiful lakehouse because we loved it so much! We do an annual family and friends lakehouse trip and returned to this house because we love it so much! There are so many amenities, we love the lake access, and the owner is the nicest and most accommodating renter there is! The house is so beautiful and we love that it has a pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen. The house is always so nice, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Have stayed here twice now. Once with family and kids and once with adults. This is officially our happy place- we wanted to move in and never leave! Every inch of the space is beautifully manicured and feels like paradise. There is no shortage of amenities from games to huge cooling fans, medial hookups and more to keep the fun rolling on. The sleeping quarters go above and beyond for comfort and privacy. We can’t wait to keep coming back.

This was one of the best stays we have had with our big family. Everything was incredibly clean and they were stocked with everything you could ever need for cooking, playing yards games, board games, chillin in the pool, or hanging out down in the river. The outdoor kitchen area is truly remarkable, that alone is worth it! The pool is perfect and was such a great way to relax in the evenings! You are right on the river with private access with a few steps down but totally worth it. They have kayaks and paddle boards and tubes and a nice, little beach to relax on. The location is perfect as well. You are REALLY close to NB yet not stuck so far in town that you deal with the summer traffic rush all of the time. It was an easy 15 minute drive to Schlitterbahn, Gruene, the Comal and only about 5 minutes to hop on 35 to take a little trip to Austin or San Antonio. We have already booked for next year :)

The property is very well maintained and beautiful. Although the lake was lower due to dam repairs, it was much higher than we thought it would be and floats, paddleboards and kayaks could all be utilized with no problem. Susanne is the best most accommodating hostess ever! This was I believe our fifth year to stay at High Bank Ranch and it just as great as the first time!

This was our 2nd Cousins Getaway (now annual). The Guadalupe River Ranch House is absolutely perfect in every way. The homes are beautiful and fit our every need. Susanne, the host has been spot on with every communication and you can tell she wants everyone to have the best vacation getaway while at the property. We will definitely be back next year!

Our stay was amazing. This place was even better than advertised. Plenty of room for a large family to spread out as well as plenty of room to gather together. The outdoor area was perfect and the interior of the homes was impeccable. Highly recommend!

We have a family from all over Texas, Colorado, and California all come together in this one magnificent property. There was no reason to leave once you got there. We even tried to stay an extra amount of time but unfortunately it could not have been worked out. I have already told the owner that we will be scheduling another visit very soon and I have been telling my friends about this wonderful place also.

This was the perfect place for family and friends to be together prior to the wedding if our son. After the rehearsal dinner the groomsmen hung out at the outdoor patio kitchen, listened to music, and played ping pong, and enjoyed the hot tub. The day of the wedding the groomsmen hung out, relaxed, watched TV, played games, and had lunch together. It was the perfect place for the guys to be together. The experience would of been over the top if the weather was warmer and the pool and river could of been put to use. We know the host was not responsible for the weather. This VRBO is over the top and the host is very accommodating. We will be back.

We came back again for another family vacation! This location is fantastic no matter the time of year or weather. There is something for everyone to do, and there is really no need to leave if you bring food and drinks along. No complaints, only great memories. We can’t wait to all come back again in the future. After reading all of the fabulous reviews we couldn't wait to experience High Bank Ranch--and it did not disappoint. What in incredible property! It had everything we could hope for and more. Beautiful house, gorgeous pool and hot tub, spacious outdoor kitchen, equipment/supplies for numerous activities, and the Guadeloupe River! We had planned on eating out one night but never made it because we enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchens. There were even cows and horses so some city girls could experience a bit of country living.
Thank you to the hosts who were wonderfully responsive and accommodating. We can't wait to return!

Susanne came through for us again! 15 moms looking for a relaxing getaway and this place is everything it promises to be and more. We all had our own space, the gathering space indoor and outdoors was perfect for games & hanging out. Tons of parking. Multiple fridges. The pool and the hot tub were clean and warm. Being right on the water was so peaceful. Susanne has fantastic communication - we kept struggling to get the pizza oven and outdoor fireplace on (all of it our user errors!) and she was so quick to respond and even sent pictures to help us out. Bedding, towels, etc for everyone. We had the best, most relaxing mom weekend and we're already planning next year. This place is simply beautiful and the owner is wonderful - I'd give 10 stars if I could and I have 14 other moms who would agree with me!

Our family reunion was fabulous at High Bank Ranch! There were so many activities available that everyone aged 2 to 83 had fun. Highlights were the pool and hot tub, rope swing, kayaks, the outdoor kitchen and dining area, and the bunk room. There was always a quiet nook indoors or out if you wanted to get away from all the activity.
We also enjoyed watching the wildlife- horses, cows, deer, butterflies, birds, and a friendly frog. You can’t really see any other houses so you feel like you’re in your own world. It’s a very special place!
Everything was clean, well maintained, organized and fully stocked. Very good communication and easy check in/check out.

The High Bank Ranch is amazing!!!!!!! The property is astonishing, peaceful and breath taking. The amenities of the ranch are to die for. Susanne was extremely helpful and responsive!! We brought our staff of 16 here for a 2 night retreat and had a fabulous time! The outdoor kitchen/seating area is amazing and we spent most of our time here for meals and just to gather. There isn't as 'large' of a living area inside so we found this space to seat all of us nicely. Our team loved swinging off the tree swing into the river and lounging in the beautiful pool. Communication with Susanne was amazing -- she was quick to help and got back to me right away with any questions. We would definitely stay again in fact, team members were asking to book it for their departments retreats as well. So great stay!

Annual Family Vacation
For 5 years our family has been spending an extended weekend at High Bank Ranch. It is a great place that accommodates all of our needs. The outdoor kitchen and living space is perfect for family meals and playing games. The owner has thought of everything! It is always clean and well stocked with whatever kitchen utensils/cookware you might need to feed your group. The communication with the owner is great. Entire family loves this place.
